His stuff seems to have gone way downhill the last year.
I don't think I'll even bother renting very much of his stuff anymore. My major complaint is too many ugly chicks or the action is too tame.

It's still there, but I'm just not feeling as much of it (I don't care much for the "reverse gangbang" scenario, or variations on the approach, like RLD's :Outnumbered" or Anabolic's "Tournante." It just seems like a waste of talent to have so many girls laying around unfucked at any given moment). But then, of course, there is "The Fashionistas," in which, as an actor, Rocco may be at his very best ever. The other thing I've found lately is that Christoph's lines have been great: especially Hardball. #20 is one of my faves of the year. And I will try and pick up #22 to take "home of the holidays." My gut feeling is that it's all cyclical. I bet there are surprises in store. [Link] |

It used to be about watching a bunch of guys high five each other and laugh at how cool they thought they were, taking turns in a girl. Now, we get scenes I adore, like Denis Marti getting it on with Jenny Blair and Daphnye in AT12. What I don't argue in the least is that Rocco's stuff has changed, and that those who were happy with his older scenes understandably don't care for his more recent stuff. I don't think it is fair to say that either era is "better" than the other. FWIW, I enjoyed Hazardous Duty quite a bit, not least because it was the first time I saw Sandra Mark be really into what she was doing. She got hot, sweaty, and intense with Rocco, after being bored or over the top fake in other titles such as Out Numbered and Hardball 21. [Link] |
