Not a bad list at all Rog...although I kind of take issue with "Love At First Byte" getting a best feature nod over so many other worthy contenders (Rush, Perfect, Sunset Stripped and others come to mind).
Isn't it funny how over half of the "worst movie" nominees are from Extreme or their branch studio, Armaggeddon? Glad to see I'm not the only one who hates their stuff!
I'd have to disagree with Forced Entry being put in any category at all seeing as how you could not buy or rent it in any store. You could only buy this tape through the Extreme Associates web site. So I don't think it should be in the running for anything at all, seeing as how they didn't have the balls to give it a full release.
Thanks. I liked Rush, but the others....I can only review movies that I get to see, so Vivid probably got the shaft, but it's hard when they pull you off the screener list.
I don't hate Extreme's stuff. I like a lot of it. In fact I like a lot of Lizzy's stuff...just not those titles :-)
Pretty good list Rog!!!!! I have no real hard complaints. I would have had Gauge in my Best Female category but the ones you included were all top notch, I am sure Gauge was up there. She had a breakout year IMO, she got rid of Mojo and look out she is taking on 4 cocks in Weapons of Ass Destruction, lol. Can't wait to see who you pick. Also glad to see Avy Scott and Cameron in Best Newbie and also to see Young Ripe Mellons up for an award.
I actually had it down to ten names for Best Female yesterday and was up half the night cutting it to 8 and then to ten. Maybe it's not cool to say who just missed, but Gague and Jewel De'Nyle were the last two names that fell off the bubble.
I can't believe that Avy and Camereon aren't doing better in the fan polling. These girls are HOT....
I am sorta surprised that Nic Andrews didn't get a Best Director nom - in my opinion he's the most consistently excellent features director out there. That, and Jewel de'Nyle has looked best under his lens (not so slutty lookin, that is).
Well Nic did what, two movies this year? I liked Rush, but you will notice most of the guys on the list shoot really great sex. I think that Ezra and Passolini did better feature work this year. Michael Raven would have been ahead of Nic this year as well.
I did just review the Rush DVD though and it's going to be an early contender for the 2003 Best DVD award.
Pretty good. Only a few disagreements but nothing to go crazy over. Wouldlove to see Jewel in there and also Calli.. Great to see Young Ripe Melons in there. Loved it and Avy Scott.Savanna Samson in newbie would have been nice but your problems with Vivid explains that ommission. As an aside doesn't Avy Scott look like Lee Lee Sobieski in the face?
Maybe I go to ten next year, I don't know. It's tough. I couldn't leave Avy off. I think she is one of the top...well let's just say that she wasn't the 6th choice for this. As for Savanna...yeah, it's not a problem with Vivid, it's that I don't get to see their stuff. (Same reason there are no VCA DVDs nominated) I've never seen Savanna in action. I hear she's cute.
It's funny, last year was easier in most categories to pick a winner. I am still re-watching a lot of stuff to finally pick the winners.
Last year, Best Female, Best Male, Best Newbie, Best Director, Worst Movie and Best All-Sex Movie were easy picks. Only Best Feature and Best Feature gave me trouble.
This year Best Female is tight between 2, Best Male tight between 2, Best Director tight between 3, Best Feature between 2, Best All-Sex is totally open, Best DVD is down to 2 and Worst movie...well that's up for grabs. Nothing is really decided, though this weekend should clear a lot of it up.
I guess there are disadvantages to picking all by myself :-)
Layla Jade and Katie Morgan had a better year than Gauge??
I would not expand the categories, but Gauge was in most of the releases you gave your strongest reviews to. Not only did she appear in them, you also gave her performances solid accolades.
While I am certain the two actresses above are talented, do you seriously believe they had a stronger year than Gauge???
I repsectfully ask that you reconsider. It is bad enough she was victimized by the Britini fiasco, but not this!!!
Peace...
Scooter

Technically, yes. Gauge spent a large chunk of 2002 in semi-retirement.
Thank you for the polite and passionate request. It was a tough call, but yes I think Layla and Katie had better years than Gauge. She was out of the loop for a while and did some great work....but fell just short of the final six.
I am told she will be working more next year, so I'm sure she will back in the running for 2003.
Thanks Rog

Well Rog, now you´re in DEEP debt with all the Gauge fans. You have to compensate us with something. What about... an interview with Gauge on your website? That would quench our thirst for revenge and bloodshed... for now! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
ah...gauge. i'm a fan of her myself. i just wanted to give her fans a heads up on "teen sensations 2" which comes out january 14. i've included a special behind-the-scenes reel on this dvd where you'll get to see a lot of the pint-sized hottie just being her cute little self. i love it! don't miss this one!
Rog......You are going to be busy in Vegas. You have to do a Gauge interview and remember that you promised Dirty Bob to collect his Lap Dances since he is missing the show this year!
