Just went to take a look at the standings so far in round two and saw something that can not be right. In Best Female Performer - Round 2.1 is listed as including Belladonna, Monica Sweetheart, Alexa Rae, Houston, Bisexual Britni . With Britni getting 45.3% of the vote. I assume this must be some sort of foul play or shameless promotion attempt by Britni.
I can't find the first round voting where she was even nominated. But I can't remember off hand if I saw her on the ballot when I voted round one. Perhaps it's a technical glitch?
There is a considerable amount of votes in that category, as compared to the others.
It could be that she has a fan club, which is voting for her at her request, or it could be people are voting for her, because they don't want any of the others to win.
Who knows?... but if it is foul play involved, those fuckers have ruined another fan based favorite poll.

I don't think there's any foul play involved. Rog added Britney to this round of voting. He forgot to include her in the first round and felt badly about it, essentially giving her a "buy" for the first round.
The voting system records a number of pieces of information when a voter registers and subsequently casts their votes. It's designed to make it cumbersome for an individual to stuff the ballot box and easy for us to detect it if it does happen. It's not happening in this case. I suspect Britni has a fan club and sent out an email asking all of her supporters to cast a vote for her. Perfectly acceptable.
Britni's name has been on the ballot since round 2.1 opened yesterday morning. It was not added after the fact. I typed it into the database after receiving the list of names and brackets from Rog.
Well, Rog can run his voting any way he likes, but personally, I can't figure out why that many people would go for a 4'10", 88-lb. woman. Sounds pretty pedophiliac to me. Do that many people like Max Hardcore's stuff?

Britni isn't even getting as many votes as she should. Some people think they're voting by sending an email to webmaster@rogreviews.com saying "i vote for britni".
I think she's the only performer that has been able to mobilize her fans in a "get the vote out" fashion. The stream of voter registrations continues at a very quick pace. Does anyone know if she has a wesite and what the URL is?
I really think you must be right. She, or people who like her must have rallied her fans. I have nothing against Bi-Sexual Britni, but I find the results of her poll bracket very hard to understand if not for an unbalanced representation of voting porn fans. As you said, there's nothing wrong with this, but I don't think the voting is accurate in terms of a balanced cross-section of porn fans, or even of those who frequent rog's site. :)
Nothing to be done about it though. It's the one of the pitfalls of fan awards, I think.
"Rog added Britney to this round of voting. He forgot to include her in the first round and felt badly about it, essentially giving her a "buy" for the first round."
First of all let me say I have really enjoyed Rog's polls so far and I think he has every right to carry them out in any manner he sees fit. That said in my personal opinion she is a far far cry from the caliber of entertainer that should qualify for such a contest. When I think of all the great performers that didn't make the poll it seems a little ridiculous to grant Britni a spot in the poll after it has started. Hell she has essentially been granted a bye through the first round, a round that took out some seriously talented and popular performers like Shyla.
Rog has been very open about the fact that he encourages "get out the vote" campaigns, so all the power to Britni for using her website to push her numbers up.
Personally if Rog did grant her second round entry I feel it has destroyed the integrity of the whole poll. I was really impressed with how much more professional it looked this year, and it seems to me like it has the potential to become a rather coveted award. However the decision creates the potential for the polls to end up looking like a farce. What if Britni is able to mobilize her fan base enough to ride their votes to the title. Ok I know it isn't going to happen, because all it takes is a little promotional savvy from Jenna J and she will walk away with this thing. But imagine if Britni does win how seriously would the industry or anybody take the award after that?
I will still continue to vote, and most likely I will continue to enjoy participating, because I love polls for some reason. After its all said and done its just another internet poll I guess.

True. I expected that first round to be a battle between Belladonna and Monica Sweetheart, two girls who have been in more higher caliber releases as opposed to some of the low end stuff Britni has been in.
But as gold_member said:

Same here, I thought that this was going to be the best poll, and it could still be, but to give a first round bye to a performer of lesser status to go up against some "big" stars and to defeat them, in such a fashion, seems odd.
Oh well, it's easy to sit back and bitch, but in the end it comes down to Rog's decision, and you gotta respect that.
---BIGmike, going and going and going since MCMLXXX---
I can verify that. I've never seen a Bisexual Britni film nor am I necessarily a fan of hers, but I am on her website's mailing list. I received an email the other day asking me to please vote for her on Rog's poll. I wouldn't have voted for her anyway, but it was a moot point since I had already voted for Round 2. Sorry, I would have copied the email here for everyone to see, but I've already deleted it.
Bisexual Brinti was passed over in the first round. This was a mistake on my part. When I drew the names out of the hat, there were 55 instead of 56 (The top 8 were selected based on last year's finished and assigned their own brackets to avoid powerhouse brackets in the first round) When I realized one was missing I wrote down a name (I won't tell you who was allowed in who shouldn't have been) instead of BB. When I realized my mistake I chose to put her into round 2. I've done this in the past, and it's the only fair way to do it.
As for her votes, they are coming from a campaign she has waged. I got an email myself. I don't think this is unfair at all. Other performers have used their web sites to promote the voting and forumns have been supporting their favorites. (A few yahoo clubs already etc.)
I'm shocked she has as big a lead as she does, but there is no rule against reaching out to your fan base. Alana Evans did it last year and nearly upset Jenna.
I apologize for any mix up, and I really don't think there is any cheating going on. (At least I hope not.) Drew has done a great job of making it very tough for anyone to do that this year.
Appearantly not good enough. I spent some more time studying the votes cast in this bracket. I see that a few Britni supporters have figured out a way to circumvent the basic ballot-stuffing deterrents we have in place. The good thing is that we collect enough data during the registration, confirmation and voting process to detect this situation resulting in the removal of a batch of duplicate votes.
But what's the merit of declaring a winner in a race in which only one person is running? Does the victory mean anything more than would be gained by going into a sporting goods store and buying a trophy? Any web vote or poll is a conversation starter at best and a joke most of the time. Want to bet that I can orchestrate a poll to show that Pol Pot was a better leader than Winston Churchill? Hell, given the right mailing list I'd have no trouble coming up with a 95% margin that will swear that the sun rises in the west and sets in the east or that N*SYNCH is more talented than the Rolling Stones.
When results that skewed are allowed it invalidates not only that category, but the integrity of the entire poll. Really, what's the point of it all when results are so blatantly manipulated rather than legitimate? Will anyone, even Britni herself, feel that she is a true winner in that category? Give me a break, a French figure-skating judge could come up with a more honest outcome.
I was entered into this contect by Rog, who is simply a nice guy. There is no hacking going on, not any other foul play. Anyone who says they see the traffic trends and it shows its me doing all the voting is simply lying and playing games. I have nothing to do with the voting, minus the one vote vote I cast for myself. Before you accuse me of doing it, why dont you give it a try and see if you can do it. Its set up pretty hacker proof.
Maybe, just maybe, the reason I am winning is the same reason I the only girl in the contest who read or reads these boards and certianly the only one that will write a reply. I am out on the internet, actively seeking votes and running a website myself. I dont have some huge compamy doing it for me. I answer my own email myself and update my site. myself. Can any of the other girls say that? I learned of this forum reading my traffic stats, and followed the link. Think any of the other girls will do that???
I don't think anyone ever accused you personally of cheating. There was confusion at first because there was no explanation as to why you were added to the ballot. Both Rog and Drew cleared that up.
And apparently Drew did find some cases where some people voting for you found a way to beat the system, but that too has been cleared up.
Maybe you're right about the current crop of girls, but you certainly aren't the only one who uses the Internet or maintains her own website or answers her own e-mail. There's nothing wrong with encouraging your fans to vote. I think most people took issue with the legitimacy of the poll, but as most web polls say, "the results are not scientific and only represent the opinion of those who choose to participate."
I must admit I did jump to the conclusion that the poll was hacked, but in all fairness I think it was a the most logical explanation until Drew cleared it up.
At this point I certainly don't think you are doing anything wrong at all. I think you should campaign as much as you want. I personally do think it is inappropriate for you to have been given a bye into the second round though, but hey thats Rog's prerogative.
Vroomfondel
Basically I agree with you. If Britni is the only one who campaigns for votes she would in essence be the only one running. However I can totally understand why Rog would and is encouraging contestants to campaign. Lets face it this poll generates some web traffic for Rog, and to some extent I suspect that is one of the reasons why Britni has been granted such late entry into the poll.
I say good for Rog! There seems to be a lot of work put into pulling off this poll, so why shouldn't Rog benefit from some increased web flow as a result. I am sure that his hope is that the bigger names will throw their weight around a little more in these polls so they don't get beat by the likes of Britni. I think they should! It is great exposure for these starlets as well.
"Will anyone, even Britni herself, feel that she is a true winner in that category? Give me a break, a French figure-skating judge could come up with a more honest outcome."
True! However I am sure Britni would feel like a winner, because she will have won some valuable exposure. Just look at the number of times her name has been mentioned in this thread alone.
It is just sad to think that performers as talented and popular as Belladonna and Monica Sweetheart stand a very good chance of losing to a relative unknown because she was given a 1st round bye & has a good web presence.
A relative unknown? A contract girl for extreme, veteran of 200 adult movies, more then any of the other girls in the contest, a web site 5 times the size of all theirs put together?
I have only seen one scene of yours Britni, so I can't comment on the performances you've done, 200 according to you. I don't buy VHS so I probably never will see another performance of yours, unless you made more than one visit in an Evil Angel DVD.
I have seen Belladonna and Monica Sweetheart over 2 dozen times, and think that they would have been more deserving of the award, if it came down to them.
It's not the hardest thing to cheat on internet polls. So when Drew says that it was done, he ain't blowing smoke out his ass, 'cause it can be done.
I am not knocking you Britni, and I hope you continue to read this forum, but Belladonna or Monica Sweetheart is more deserving of this award, in my opinion.
---BIGmike, going and going and going since MCMLXXX---
I don't personally see a whole helluva lot of difference between stuffing a ballot box and spamming all the members of your web site to vote. Oh well... I'm sure somebody, somewhere (probably on your web site) thinks this is a reasonable tactic for building a loyal, faithful and $$$-spending following.
There is a huge dif. The other girls have sites also, and fans, they can do the same thing I am. Their faliure to do so only implies a alck of interst, not integrity. And we all know it. The liklihood is most of them dont even know they are in this contest.
That may or may not be true of Britni, but does anyone remember that we had the same issue last year with Kimi?(Hey cutie, I still have your trophy here) She took down some much better known starlets, including Aurora Snow. Alana did a great job keeping up with Jenna last year. The "lesser" known starlets often work harder and have a better fan base on the web.
I have no problem with Britni asking her fans to vote; they're fans, after all. If some of them are stuffing the ballot that's not her fault. My only other comment is that it's nice to know that's what's going on (her mobilizing her fan base) so we can judge the results accordingly.
BigMike, I don't consider myself a big fan of Britni, but I would recommend her scene in DNA #3 to you.
I think Britni has a right to solicit votes any way she wants. Afterall, it's Rog's site and he says it's okay, so that's all that matters. This isn't Florida (okay, bad example.) I think it's cool that Britni wants to win and is actively involved. But in my opinion she's starting to sound like she thinks she DESERVES to win just because she's more involved than other girls. That's not how you feel, is it?
Please, gentle porn fans, let us keep our porn snobbery in check. Sometimes we watch only our favorite series and companies and we think that anyone we haven't heard of doesn't exist. Well, the industry releases 10000 videos a year. There are too many pornstars to count, but some of you have taken this new development in Rog's poll as a weird aberration, instead of taking it as an opportunity to learn about a pornstar you're not familiar with. Myself, I have just seen Britni on a disc within the last 24 hours. Plus, the voters whom Britni emailed are not mindless fools who arrive at Rog's site and are blind to the other candidates' names next to Britni's. If anything, Britni's emails help Rog's site get more publicity. All those people could have voted for someone else if they wanted to.
Britni is an enthusiastic performer with beautiful alabaster skin and a strong, flexible body. She has made a *lot* of videos. I am a big fan of this small woman.
The enemy of sexually powerful women is shame; that of men--aggression.
I think I have been clear about the fact that I have no problem at all with Britni or anybody else "getting the vote out". However did Kimi or Alana get a bye in the 1st round last year?
Sue it sounds like you are making some serious assumptions here. Does having my own opinion make me a "porn snob"?
If bisexual britni wins, I say, good for her! Once again, the people have spoken. Just because you think she is not your fave does not make your voice more loud than a fan who does. And at the end of the day, its those who vote, not the threee people who don't like her. Thats the beauty of a poll. One vote per person....
BTW, I vote for Belladonnna, but Britney gets some points too, especially for the 'steelers' tattoo and her extreme hardcore talents (and I think shes attractive so 'Nyah Nyah'.) I hope I can catch yah at Stevi Secrets too, BiBrit...and welcome to the forum.
'The "lesser" known starlets often work harder and have a better fan base on the web.' -Rogrtipe
---This is the important thing. Not because something must be wrong with the system if 'your' favorite star doesn't win! This is like an episode of 'american idol' and crying that your favorite singer was cut but had a better voice and was more attractive than the person who went on to the next tier. Vote, and then see where the chips fall....
This situation with Britni reminds me of conventional politics in the sense that, the people who win are not necessarily the ones who are the most popular, but rather the ones who run the most effective campaigns. And since Britni is not violating any of the rules, more power to her.
This is what I meant by not necessarily the most popular. I think if you could poll a broad cross-section of gonzo porn fans, Belladonna and Monica Sweetheart would garner a lot more votes than Bisexual Britni.
But again, because Britni is not violating any rules, more power to her. As she herself pointed out, the other girls she's competing against have the same opportunity to rally their fans and wage a campaign just like she's doing.
I actually took the time to go over to Britni's website and check it out thoroughly. I've visited many porn star websites over the years and will say that Britni's ranks among the absolute best that I've ever seen.
The evidence of her website, which she runs herself, the skill with which she has waged her campaign, and the intelligence with which she has responded to posters in this thread, proves to me conclusively that Britni is no dummy (not that anyone has said or implied so).
The quote below taken from Britni's website shows that she's not your average, run-of-mill porn girl:
I think both Plato and Aristotle could have learned a thing or two from Bisexual Britni.
I think I have been clear about the fact that I have no problem at all with Britni or anybody else "getting the vote out". However did Kimi or Alana get a bye in the 1st round last year?
I must say she does have an impressive site! Thats why I voted for it during the 2002 KSEXradio Listeners' Choice Awards. She won the BEST AMATEUR WEBSITE award. By the way Bridgette Kerkove won the BEST PORN STAR WEBSITE.
I agree all the power to her. It just seemes to me that Britni and others are defending themselves from nonexisting attacks.
The issue here is not the relative merits of any of the actresses involved. What makes life interesting is that we all have individual tastes and for every person that adores Monica Sweetheart or worships Belladonna there will be a person that truly thinks Britni deserves to win. That's cool and that's how it should be. If everyone followed the same couple of performers the industry would die a quick and unlamented death. The issue is the validity of a poll where result manipulation is so simple and decisive. While the others in that category surely have mailing lists and fan bases, they have chosen not to utilize them, so Britni is in effect running a solo race against apathetic opponents. If Carl Lewis and an 80 year old woman were entered in a 100 yard dash and Carl didn't show up, who would win? Would that woman then have the right to call herself a superior runner to Carl Lewis? Don't be ridiculous. Maybe it comes from being involved in sports all my life, but the only victory worth a damn is one that is gained fairly on a level playing field against opponents that are your equal. Would the Yankees feel food about beating a Little League team? Would Tiger Woods stop to pick up the green jacket as Masters champ if, instead of beating a full field over 72 holes he was ceded into a tie for the lead for the final round and then nobody else teed off to challange him? A tainted victory is a meaningless victory and one earned by means other than the intended competition is tainted beyond all recognition. The poll is obviously intended to be one conducted among a fair and representative sampling of porn fans, not one conducted among a mailing list for one particular contestant.
Britni, you claim that you are "A contract girl for extreme, veteran of 200 adult movies, more then any of the other girls in the contest, a web site 5 times the size of all theirs put together?" Certainly a person with credentials like that would be capable of competing on a level field without needing to campaign for votes while your opponents don't. So why didn't you? If your get out the vote tactics do succeed and you win, will you really feel that you've earned the victory fairly and that the results were based on merir rather than campaigning? Will that trophy mean anything to you?
I propose a test. Give a bye to a non porn star so that she makes the third round. Pick Anna Kournikova or Britney Spears. Then mail their fan base asking for votes. Despite the fact that neither has ever appeared in a porn movie or merits inclusion in the poll, would anyone here be naive enough to think that they wouldn't win easily? Britni, would you feel cheated if they beat you that way? Would you feel their victory was legit?
Oh, and by the way, any web poll is impossible to secure. You can limit voting to registered members of a given site and protect against multi-votes with cookies or by excluding IP addresses. But: 1) Free email addresses are a dime a dozen 2) Anyone with a clue can edit or delete cookies. 3) Proxy servers support IP masking and Linux makes it easy to spoof an IP. You can't prevent a knowledgeable user from voting as many times as he/she wants to. Perhaps in the future it might be best to limit voting to people who are registered users BEFORE the poll begins. That'd minimize the impact of a single contestant using a mailing list to flood the ballot box and insure a much more representative sample of voters.
Personally, I think you all take this way too seriousely. I was accidentally left off a ballot I was suposed ot be on. A ballot I knew about a month before it started. It was a simple mistake, and one that was rectified. Asking my fans to vote is hardly a crime, and I will continue to do so. The other girls failing to particiapte does not mean I cant. Since you like sports so much. What does one team on a field do when the other team simply does not try at all? Quit too? I am competing the way competing is suposed to be done. My opponets failure to compete against me is not my fault nor my problem.
If I was, I am happy to win, if I lose, I am happy to lose, as long as I tried. I will not sit and be a specatator. So, all you guys, who have never even seen a video camara, much less posed in front of one, can be as judgemental as you like. In reality, you have no idea what your talking about.
http://www.bisexualbritni.com
ps. I have recived almost 200 hits to my site from this thread, so, lets keep it going shall we?
Exactly. That's why it's written to be cumbersome for someone to stuff the ballot box but not impossible. That's why we collect a bunch of tidbits of data during registration, confirmation and voting. We can't prevent the seriously determined individuals but we can make the process very tedious. And even after all of their efforts we still log every ballot cast by every voter in each poll and review them prior to promoting the winners to the next round. If things get real out of hand we can always add a confirmation step to the casting of votes. Confirm the registraion, confirm the ballot after it's cast, etc. As long as we inject a few random points of data into the process it can't easily be circumvented.
I've exchanged emails with a few dozen Brtini supporters over the past two days. A number of Hotmail users were having problems registering. It appears as though the registration confirmations are getting caught by some user's spam filters. All of the conversations have been pleasant and most of the folks have been very quick to respond. They are very eager to show their support for Britni.
I actually don't take these adult polls on the internet serious because I don't trust the results.
I myself like Britni because she does all the hardcore stuff, I wish all pornstar would do these kind of things instead of becoming a softcore model for companies like Vivid, VCA, Wicked or JKP.
Ah, but you see, Britni, the more seriously that we take it, the better it is for you, no?
People do know what they are talking about when stating their own personal opinions and preferences, whether or not they have ever seen a video camera or posed in front of one.
Britni, I do agree with you that there is nothing wrong or improper regarding your conduct in this matter. More power to you. If some people want to continue casting aspersions against you, then fine, that only serves to drive more traffic to your website as you pointed out yourself.
I would like to see Britni win this poll. I would be like "Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf" winning People magazines 1998 online "Most Beautiful Person in the World" poll because Howard Stern mobilized his listeners to vote.
