The RRFF polls have entered the final week. It took just three weeks to whittle the fields of 100 down to the final four. Within a few days will we know who the favorites for for 2006.

I want to thank those of you registered and participated this year. Thanks also for setting me up for some more less than comfortable introductions. There is nothing quite as much fun as standing in line to hand a trophy to a girl who has no freaking clue who I am or what the RRCC Awards are. Yeah, I could email them ahead of time, but it’s much more fun to watch Taylor Rain stare at me like I’m a mental patient.

At least the Best Female winner will probably know who I am. Jenna Haze and Hillary Scott are running pretty close at this point. Both of them might deny it, but they know me. I hear that one of them actually doesn’t hate me…much. For a while I thought you guys were going to vote Tony Lane the winner. That would have been fine, but would have set up a Monica Sweetheart moment. (I wonder if she even knows what she won.)

Usually the Best Male is a pretty easy one to give out. It has always been either Lex, Erik or Rocco. Erik and Lex are always easy to find and friendly. Rocco is even better because I just give the trophy to Tricia Devereaux. I’m in favor of any excuse to hang out with her. This year it looks like Manuel will win. I know we’ve met, but that night he was a little pre-occupied with taking Julie Night into the bathroom and probably doesn’t remember.

Best Newbie is really going to be the challenge. Sasha Grey, Naomi, Amy Reid and Georgia Peach are a great final four, but I wouldn’t be shocked to find out that none of them even knows they were nominated. I actually met Sasha at the Casey Parker coming out party, but I’ll bet she doesn’t remember. (I sure do.) It should be interesting to see if the winner knows anything about he award.

No such problem with the Best Director award. Jules Jordan is way out in front so we’ll have our yearly meeting for him to collect his hardware. It looks like Manuel might finish second here. That’s a pretty good showing, especially when you combine it with his probably win as Best Male.

The Best Company award has pretty much become the Evil Angel award. I’m not sure how many years in a row they have finished on top, but it’s a lot. With a huge early lead this should be another top finish for the Empire. Yay, another chance to hang out with Tricia Devereaux for a few minutes.

For the first time, we’re doing a Best DVD and Jenna Haze Darkside is off to an early lead. If it wins, then at least I avoid the question of who to give the trophy to. In the past I have had to figure out if the company or the director gets it. If Darkside wins, Jules gets it either way.

That leaves Most Wanted Celebrity….does it really matter? Just another unclaimed trophy to leave on my shelf until someone comes along to pick them up. At the rate Britney Spears is going, she may want to pick up her four sometime soon.
