This has become an anual event and here we go. My personal top 20 for the past 12 months. It's based on a lot of things, looks, performance, heat, personal taste, quality and quantity of work. (Not that volume counts, but rather a lack thereof can hurt.)
As always I would love feedback. Who did I pass over? Who was under-rated, etc. Remember this is MY list, but I always end up remembering someone later. Feel free to post your own lists or whatever, but I'd love the feedback and if you email it to me also I would like to throw it up on my site.

Well as you say, it's a personal list, so it can't be disagreed with exactly. But one name that's missing that surprises me is Katsumi.
And: She's always on the top of my list anyway, but I think the significance of the beginning of her b/g career might have put Devinn Lane up there. But her volume of work isn't very high, no.
Great listing Rog, and thanx for sharing! I can see that Aurora still tickles your fancy among other things. But one question: why didn't you list Katja Kassin? Surely she's done alot more in 2004 than many of the ones you listed.
Always look forward to your picks on things Rog, thanks for sharing. It's a personal list, so it's all good, but I probably only agree with about 25% of it, but no worries.
Someone who I always feel gets left out of the loop, is Gia Paloma, she is damned cute, and a good performer, I personally would have put her on my top 5 or 10 of the last 12 months, but I am a little surprised she did not even get a mention.
If she isn't your thing then she isn't your thing, but someone like Sophie Evans to me is being highly underrated to not have atleast an honerable mention.
Probably the biggest suprise to me would be Krystal steal. She did some pretty good features in the last 12 months, before the club jenna signing, I can understand the lack of the vivid girls due to thier lack of working for a company that shows soul in thier movies, but Krystal I would have thought was very deserving of something. I mean I love Devon to death, but she did what maybe 2 features in the last 12 months, and they certainly were good, but I think Krystal did atleast 6-8 features and I saw around 5 of them that were pretty decent. Again just a personal taste thing, but that is my feedback.
Not trying to be critical so sorry if it sounds that way, just giving my 3 cents since you asked Rog. Many of your picks are quite agreeable and the rest understandable. I will email you my list.

Rarely do I find myself seeing eye-to-eye with Rog (I'm not as enamored with asians as he is, though I still love them) so for me to not agree with everyone on this list comes as no surprise. But it is HIS list, so that should be expected.
One thing I hate about "lists" like this is that's exactly what it is. A list. Some names with some numbers thrown beside them with no reason or explanation given as to why someone earned (or perhaps didn't earn) their given slot.
Late last year a friend of mine and I compiled just such a list, a Top 50 of 2003 . We were forced to compromise on some issues so sometimes people aren't ranked exactly WHERE I want them to be, but they're on the list and that's all that matters, right? There are a few inside jokes there and whatnot, but mostly, we try to justify the rankings and give a little background info in case you're not too familiar with who's being discussed (well, I know mostly everyone here is, but not at MY board). Also my friend's knowledge is a tad limited, you'll notice. Anyway, enjoy and tell me what you think.

Again, remember the list is a compromise between two guys with varying knowledge of performances and performers, but for the most part I'm satisfied with top 11. That much I think is perfect.

Katsumi was a bubble girl for sure. The list was at over 100 names before the final cut down this week. Both Devinn and Stormy were also on the list, but in the past 12 months I haven't seen enough really stuff from them to put them up here. (which is not to say they aren't hot. There are some very hot women who aren't on this list.)

Katja is another bubble girl. When the honorable mention list was at like 50 names, I almost posted it. It just felt too heavy. Some of those last cuts were painful. Katja, Katsumi, Roxy, Bella, that longer list goes on and on.
Gia is one of those girls who just does nothing for me. I can't explain it and I understand that I probably should dig her.
I am trying to remember how many times I've seen Krystal, but you make an excellent point about Devon. That is probably the first name that will go on the "shouldn't have made it this year list" Bravo :-)
There is a lack of Vivid Girls in part because I don't see their movies. A few of them really do it for me, but I just didn't see them enough.

The explanation for the list is coming....It's a process though. I post the list, then listen to input from readers and create a new list of women who should have made it and sometimes those who shouldn't. (A curent HM was #11 but dropped quickly after listening to very solid argument from someone.)

Yes, but June has always been the month when this list comes out. The year end awards are in Dec/Jan so this is a half way thing. (It helps remind me where everyone stood in June so I can make the choices in Dec.)
I just wanted to second you choice of Crystal Ray. I have been really impressed with her ever since catching her in Anal Trainer. For some reason I thought she was flying under the radar & has been totally underrated.
A lot of the girls on your list are bubble girls for me, and most of them suffer from "too new" syndrom. This list goes back 12 months and only a few new girls make it every year. Annie for example, is HOT, but I've seen her in one or two movies....
If I were doing this list once a month, things would be vastly different. (and people have suggested it...good grief.)
Yay...someone else who digs Crystal. I think she reminds me so much of a young Tiffany Mynx (without an ass that is quite as spectular) and I think she is highly under-rated. In fact I think she is under-rated even as I look at this list.
Yeah. my criteria is whoever has rocked my boat most recently PLUS those most improved or consistent or surprising. I only need one hot scene to qualify a girl (Melissa Lauren), because I can tell she's ALREADY a monster.
Longer-term stars like Aurora, et al., I'm pretty much done watching. Now the real measure is who will still be on my list in a few months. There also are a lot of actresses I think are amazing and great performers but I've kind of seen them do a lot already. But I could easily do a Top 50 that wou;d be rock-solid.
See that totally makes sense. That's a totally different list for me. Right now, few girls would beat Jennifer Luv because I've seen her do some great stuff recently. Teagan nearly landing at number one after just a few months is pretty huge for a list that definately rewards 12 months worth of work.
If I had the time, a monthly chart of current hot babes based on that month would be fun.

It's so dependent on what you watch and how frequently you see new stuff. My tastes have been very tilted thru the prism of Joey Silvera and Jules Jordan, as well as Mike John, Chico Wang, Mason, Jake Malone, Guy Capo (gotta catch up with "Payback"), and a few others (a little Brandon, a little Holmes & Ferrara). I'd include Rocco in this list but he mostly uses Euro Girls who you don't see in US productions, and I can never keep track of who's who in those movies because they change names so many times.
