What is the importance of romance to get a woman aroused???Remember reading an interview with Midori and basically what she said was:"Don't need that, the candles, the wine, the music...Bah! Just want to fuck like you quys

Here is a hint from a professional like myself:

Be soft..be very caring..touch her softly..look at her..kiss her..while kissing her cute cheeks, sniff them softly..then..reach for the dangerous weak part, the neck. Once you reached the neck..and you go under her chin..and lick down her chest. Gameover. Say hi to that wet juicy liquidy pussy...now do yourself a favor, reach down your pants and release that staff...hold it up..sink it in the wet middle..and depart those lips. Oh, baby..with your staff, she shall see wonders.

Romance is very important. Women need to feel like you really WANT to be with HER specifically. We don't necessarily believe what you tell us, so your actions are what we listen to. If you're showing us attention with little things that show your care for us, it goes a long way. Romance is about being observant and paying attention to your woman's likes and dislikes, then catering to her likes whatever they may be. You do that and I guarantee that your needs will be MORE than satisfied.

AMEN AMEN Tina!!!

I'm a married man. I knew nothing about romance..but my wife always found me so sweet..which I am and always will be.

Men, let me tell you something..if you won't have several romantic moments, you are not experiencing downright HOT..really hot wet sweaty jungle monkey love sex! Trust me! The best sex I ever had were the ones in which I made my wife's skin crawl with the help of my lips kissing every single pore on her face, neck and entire body! (no oral sex involved by the way) If you could just pay attention..and just spend time with her and just share your heart with her and not just your pulsating dick dying to get out of the pants already, I guarantee you, you can achieve a more hot sexual moment. And, it won't be unforgetable.

Welcome to ADVDT Leslie

I could not agree more with what Sonic and Tina have shared, romance is so vital to womyn.

There are times when we just wanna fu*k too, but the times when we both slow down, and I feel just totaly adored and desired, touch both my heart and my pussy.

I have found that is what most womyn crave most about being intimate. That feeling of acceptance, of being desired, it's a huge part of sexual enjoyment.

Candles & such window dressing not really important to me, nor is what you say or do 'while trying to get me into bed', because many guys have these moves & lines down pat. It's fake. For me, it's far more important as part of the overall
package that you seem genuinely interested in me as a person & I think Tina stated it well. So, there's no magic 'technique'
or quick answer, if that's what you were looking for. You have to FEEL it.
I dated a guy for a time who wasn't especially good looking, nor was he exceptional in the sack, yet this guy had sooooo many women after him, that our nights at his place were constantly interrupted by women calling, knocking on his door, etc., it was kind of amusing. What did he have? Aside from a very real love for women, he had the ability to make you feel like you were the most special, funny, interesting, hot, etc. woman he had ever known. He would cook dinner for me & would not let me help ( although I think he rather enjoyed watching me eat artichokes ). When I had the flu, he insisted I stay with him so he could take care of me ( although I would have gotten more rest at home, what with getting up to answer the door or phone every 5 minutes!)

i know everyone's talking about romance between two people. but romance is a much greater entity - an escape from harsh reality, an adventure in beauty, a feeling/moment that is difficult to put into words, a hike through a redwood forest, sitting in the springs of a palm oasis, standing on top of a mountain surrounded by clouds, exploring Anasazi ruins, crawling around an ice cave. the same experiences can be had with two people alone in a room with nothing but their minds and bodies.

i know i sound cheesy - but romantic thoughts are how i deal with stress and the reality of living in a place that i hate.

i don't think it's hard for a man to be romantic. all he has to do is make me forget where i am and what i have to do tomorrow.

Oh no you don't sound cheesy Steph! Why you think I act so dumb, weird and crazy? I have to turn to something that sucks me out of this place..so I turn to comedy..the greatest medicine in my opinion for my cure, yep, me too, escaping reality. I put myself in another dimension and ignore the real world's problems. All those murders, crimes, drugs, politics. Stuff that does not mean anything to me. Give me a different world please, my world, a world that only I know how it looks like and feels and makes me happy that I only I live in.

At night, when I take the train, the train lane is up high over the street. I can see New York City. My eyes just cannot believe how beautiful man (and woman) created such a dream made out of lights and metal. But hardly not too many put heart on the most beautiful things that really should be appreciated. Many don't see that..the fad is the bad. It's so funny.
Steph..it's so hard to be a woman. I'm a man..but I can rationalize.

In the beginning of my love life..I acted unlike the person that I am today, without any passion or romance and my wife has to bring it to me that she is not having it! She then makes it clear to me..in such a great way..and the message is so clear to me..she shows no emotion when we're having sex, and it feels like I'm having sex with something that is not real, something that does not have emotions, to me, that is cold, but I SO deserve it..and I clearly get the picture, now I know how she feels. Good for me. I'm not the only one who should feel special.

But I learned. It took me a while, but I learned to be caring..I mean, I was always caring but that's a different caring, thats a general caring that has nothing to do with my partner.

This real caring for my partner is the one I had trouble with and adapted, and learned, and realize how so important it is to feel and to love, and to feel as 'one', is the one that I am so happy that is in me now. Now I can feel so differently, unlike the quick sex experiences that offer no...lasting impression.

I hope I'm making sense.

Many sessions I have had sex with my wife without the kissing, the passion, the romance, just get to it. I could honestly tell you that this is not a real woman's road..the wham bang thank you mam'. It's...flat. It's a plain world on non excitement. I mean, sure I get excited (cause I'm a male I guess) and obviously she doesn't, but it does not last for weeks, I mean the moment. Unlike when we do it the loving way..we talk about it for days..and the memory of that moment remains fresh in our minds..and we could even strike a coversation about it that is so worthwhile whenever there is nothing to talk about when we're traveling or at bed. To me..that is such a great and everlasting impression..all because I took the time to care about her and make her feel that she is so important to me and my future..and appreciate who she is..and how important she is to this world...something that should not take a rocket scientist many years to figure out though probably some rocket scientists are not passionate or loving or caring. You know..I thank goodness I'm a male, not that being a woman is bad, but because they go through so much stuff that man will never go through. Pregnancy, mensturation, etc. That alone should open the doors for us and let us take the time to thank her for the person she is..it's hard! They make it seem easy at times, but I'm sure it's hard! I really feel so sorry for those males who see woman as something common..something you can have your way with. That is truly sad, the way they actually feel like if they are 100% man. Which they don't fall in the male category at all. They fall somewhere else that is plain pathetic.

Before when I was not so romantic, I thought I was having it good. Silly me. It was so hard for me to take the time to do the romance part because I just focused too much on the sex part. But when I did focus on her, I noticed that she acted so different. A behavior that just makes me so..beast like. I mean, theres a moment in which she is so "gived in" because my heart did that. That's the feeling of me getting there..close to being 'one'. And when we're one..it's unlike anything I've felt when we do it the quick non romantic way. What's funny, every moment..every romantic session..it's different. Like a different love story. The feelings are always good and fresh, but just a different chapter to a never ending powerful love story between two worlds that wants to merge into one everlasting star. A star that releases nothing but warmth and a glow of happiness that nothing can over shatter that being. It was meant to be..that feeling when doing it the romantic sexual passionate way....you just know, and you feel, it was destiny.

I know I'm sounding like the perfect guy or trying to be Mr. He Is So Cool, but this is the only way that I am and express myself. (I have been in this post for 45 minutes!! Thinking of what to write because my heart just wants me to write and I got to get a message across somehow to many people out there because this is an adorable thread that many and I can learn from..that's whats great about ADVDT..certain threads..remember Smokedragon's thread? Certain threads are momentus and historical.)

I think also the way that I am is because I was brought up as a child by my mother only. I had no father figure.

Cool. Woman rule!

I think romance is important to bond between two lovers. But, there are times for a quickie.

I think I agree most with DB. I don't need candles or flowers or such.
It's feeling that he thinks I'm special.

Romance and sex can have very little to do with each other, but together, they make the other one terrific.

Romance is indispensable for most of girls (particularly sensitive ones) but not everygirl will like that. Romance will make your life and love happier if you are given it moderately.
Are you that kind of girl? Tina and Tricia

"Romance" is an abstract term, usually narrowed down to candles and jewelry to exploit both men and women financially/emotionally etc. I think men and women enjoy "romance" in the ways Steph outlined.
It's different for everyone. Me? My "Rambo in Your Pocket" talking keychain I got for Christmas was very romantic, and yes, important.

I can do without candles and jewelry. Neither of those strike me as romantic. Just kinda useless and showy - like someone couldn't think of anything special or personal. I guess I actually think they are un-romantic, even.
I guess romance for me isn't in the things that get me directly aroused, but more in the things that keep me always receptive.
The little text messages during the workday that let me know he's thinking about me - even if it's just some random thing he wants to tell me about his day. He wants to share it with *me* and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. When he goes out of his way to pick up something he knows I like to eat - that he doesn't like at all and isn't getting because he wants some, too. When I get up late on a Saturday morning, and there is a hot cup of tea already waiting for me in the microwave. When I have to stay late at school or work, and I come home and the laundry is done and fresh sheets are on the bed.
Those are sort of day-to-day romantic things that let me know I'm an important part of his life, and he wants to make me happy.
Then there are the special gestures, like surprising me by picking me up and carrying me over the threshold the night we went over to pick up the keys to our house. THAT was super romantic, and I'll never forget it.

I think most of what's been written here is very sound.
I guess I'd add that if romance is something you have to work at, it isn't romance at all. Romance is borne of inspiration, not manipulation.
A romantic gesture can't be sprung for its intended effect. It has to be sprung for the warmth it creates in both parties.
So, no point in faking it. That's an unsustainable path.
