Guilty until proven innocent :( Personally, I can't see Ron being a rapist. I certainly hope he isn't, anyway. It should be an interesting case to follow. I won't comment further until more details unfold,
I didn't want to believe this, because I always thought Ron Jeremy was a good guy. However, after doing some research, amd reading what people say on Twitter, people have actually have met him, I feel he may just be guilty. Reputable girls like Abigail Mac are saimg "about time", and many are sharing their personal experiences with how Ron would get too comfortable, and invade them. A rite of passage thing, I suppose. It's a shame and a huge disappointment. We shall see the truth after more evidence surfaces.
I'm curious what point you're trying to make. Regardless of whether Ginger Lynn worked with Ron Jeremy later, it doesn't negate the allegation.
There are victims of domestic abuse who return to their partners and continue the relationship - do you dismiss the abuse because the victim went back to their abuser?
I met him once and got my photo taken with him. Right when the photo was taken, he moved in for a kiss. The photo is amusing in a cringey way-me flinching away while his face is mashed up against my cheek. The experience was thankfully nothing like what these women endured.
It's not a proven fact that Ron Jeremy raped Ginger Lynn. The fact that she would later film a sex scene with him a number of years later hurts her credibility.

To you maybe because apparently ypu're ignorant or willfully oblivious to the RL behaviour of victims of assault and abuse. Actual adults with RL experience of the cycles of abuse are not surprised.
Regardless, there are so many, many other stories of inappropriate behaviour and assaults it is reaching Cosby levels where once would have to be full blown paranoid to believe all the women are making up the exact same story.
Not a fan of Ron Jeremy as a porn star or a person. In porn I find him a huge distraction in porn scenes and as person/celeb I just find him annoying. I just read the Rolling Stone article and was cringing throughout the article from multiple levels. I kept wondering if Ron truly thinks what he was doing wasn't wrong. By the time I got to the end I've decided Ron probably didn't think any of his actions were wrong and rape and sexual assault didn't happen because he's been put on this pedestal where so many people enable and encourage his bad behavior. I don't agree with the inappropriate things he's done to women but I can unfortunately understand why he doesn't/wouldn't see his behavior as being wrong when so many people just have/had the mentality of "That's Ron being Ron" and just dismiss the women.
I find the convention groping particularly tricky to deal with. I kinda get that if you hire Ron to go to a con you want "Ron be Ron" and that's what some fans want too. I totally think he's wrong to just grab fans in a sexual or inappropriate way but when it comes to fellow performers for me thinks get kinda blurry. I would think most of the porngirls would know what to expect and just go along with it for the sake of playing it up for the fans (if there's an audience). Plus, I would think they are better at cutting this type of behavior off quickly because they've dealt with it before. Not saying groping someone who doesn't want to be groped is okay but a porn convention probably one of those places some people don't mind being groped...I think?
Another thing I've always wanted to ask that ties in to the paragraph above and I've always wanted to ask...To anyone that has spent years goig to porn conventions, have they changed over the years? I used to go to AVN in the early 2000s and it seems like it was it much more wild compared to the pics I see people post of cons these days. Back when I went to AVN (before it was open to the public) the girls would encourage groping, grinding, and fondling and seemed many seemed very annoyed that they couldn't flash their breasts. Of course this wasn't true of every girl but other than the VIVID girls I remember most of the girls wanted to be grabbed to the point of taking your hand and putting them on her breasts, butts, or wherever. Have things changed over the years or is it still wild and I'm just not seeing it represented in photos? My memories of a convention may be totally outdated when compared to what goes on today.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I am innocent of all charges. I can't wait to prove my innocence in court! Thank you to everyone for all the support.</p>— Ron Jeremy (@RealRonJeremy) <a href="[Tweet is no longer available]?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 23, 2020</a></blockquote>
As surprising as these allegations are, let's remember that Ron Jeremy is an ICON in the Industry ( many of us probably watched our first porn flicks featuring "The Hedgehog". I know I did),. That being said it's hard to not compare him to a stud horse who is past his prime and should be put out to pasture.
I'm quite sure that in his mind he called himself "initiating" new starlets as a part of his regular practice to see if they have what it takes to be a true Porn Queen. On the other hand, and most troubling, is his apperant behavior with the Civilian public where it is not too far-fectched to hear him coming on to someone at a bar with a pickup line like, " Hi, I Ron Jeremy. I can make you famous tonight."
You have to consider the impact of him being barred from various conventions for apparently "just being Ron Jeremy". This did't happen by accident. There is now a new generation of sex performer attending these forums who is not going to tolerate his schtick no matter how well it plays with the audience. To many younger stars it comes off like a " Creepy Uncle Ron" copping a feel at a Family Reunion.
Speaking of a new generation, the #MeToo Movement has given women of ALL backgrounds a certain amount of leverage against guys like Jeremy who think they can do what they want to women, whenever they want. Unfortunately, it may be time for him to finally become accountable for his actions.

I get what Howie was trying to say but I have to say there's nothing 'surprising' about these allegations either, they have been public since the mid-80s.
No, nothing surprising at all. Anyone who is surprised must have been burying their head in the sand. And it's not sad or unfortunate that Jeremy has been finally been charged. I keep seeing sentiments like that. "Poor Ron!" etc. Likewise, assaulting and harassing sex workers isn't somehow more acceptable than assaulting and harassing civilians. What a disgusting attitude.
Times have changed a lot. I can remember watching tv in the 90s up to the mid 00s and he was glorified for this behavior on mtv shows, sexcetera, porn docu's etc.
I'm not sure there was ever a time when women were running around saying I wish Ron Jeremy would non-consensually grope me and assault me, whether she was in the industry or not. PS, you can insert any name in for Ron Jeremy that you would like and the statement remains true.
I'm not surprised at all. It was just a matter of time before he was called on his behavior that has been his standard M-O for years.
It's just unfortunate that these allegations weren't taken seriously until he started preying on civilian women OUTSIDE of the Adult Film Industry. That, to me, reeks of the Double Standard that film actresses face where the General Public has a rather blase attitude toward them and sex thinking that these women "get what they expect" because of their profession.

^^ I remember the Ron Jeremy 'documentary' Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy and there was no mention of the Ginger Lyn accusation and they didn't show him acting this way, maybe signing some woman's boobs or something but that was it.
^ It was some behind the scenes documentary on a film that Ron & Ginger were on and he pointed out that she had 'falsely' (his words) accused him of sexual assault during her first year in porn but it wasn't true and the fact that she was now filming a new sex scene with him was 'proof' (his words) that she had lied before.
"Inside porn star Ron Jeremy's filthy, cockroach-infested LA apartment, where woman claims accused serial rapist tried to grope her and was enraged when she gave him the slip"
Pretty crazy. I'm usually in the minority trying to gain some perspective and not immediately jump to conclusions during accusations. But this case spans many many years and there's so many of them, a frightening amount. Is RJ really gonna say every single case is a lie or misunderstanding? Very curious to see how this plays out.
^ I haven't watched it but if you believe her, why would you be put off by an aggressive delivery? Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean by aggression.
^I watched it and aggressive is not a word I could use to describe any part of that video. The most I might say is that she was mildly angry but in some ways I think it was more toward herself for letting it happen and never saying anything. In her defense. She would never have been believed if she had said anything.
^ Why? To suit your sensibilities? When somebody talks about a traumatic event such as being sexually abused, I'd say being "emotional" about it is a natural response.
^^I can't help but feel that you didn't see the same video that I did or you have some kind of agenda because she is basically straightforward on where she was in her life at the time it happened and what happened over the subsequent years following the assault.
^ I don't have an agenda at all. I'm just saying she came across as too aggressive in the video that's all. I'm not trying to be judgemental but that's how it came across.
I contend that we must not have seen the same video but for argument sake let's say that we did and I agree that she was angry. Don't you think she has a reason to be angry talking about being sexually assaulted and not being able to do anything about it.
