I went to prison for three years over some non contact sex sh!t. Pictures man. In my type of case it came down to a battle of the computer experts, if I had gone to trial. In Ron Jeremy's case, it relies heavy on the credibility of the witnesses. Weinstein did not take the stand which is almost always recommended by counsel. If a DA is allowed a chance to cross examine a defendant it could go south real quick. Better in most cases to stand with the 5th amendment. Sex crimes in the United States are some of the most heavily prosecuted and overly sensationalized. If alligations run back decades it could way heavy on the back of a defendant. Kellen Winslow II was a high profile sex case in CA. Winslow's case went back decades, it went back to his college football days. Thomas Mesereau was defense counsel for Micheal Jackson and represented Bill Cosby for a spell. Thomas Mesereau's fee is 500 thousand. Thomas Mesereau met with R.Kelly as well. Criminal justice is a cruel entity. With sex crimes tried in the court of public opinion, it can be hard to get a fair trial. I fought for three and half years and was forced to plea. Sadly in WI, my home state, the criminal justice system is corrupt and the cardinal rule is: Don't hire a lawyer from WI. In the Midwest it's all about Minneapolis.
