I received 1-4 last week. I haven't had a chance to really view them all. Except for the language, the behind the scenes, and the pissing they are very similar to Andrew Blake's and Ninn's stuff, although less staged and with less production. Glimpse is the right way to describe them as there are not many complete scenes. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and most of the cast is attractive. My main reason for purchasing was to get more of Anna Bielska (Biella) the star of Tinto Brass' Giulia, and Met Art model. I am somewhat disappointed in that regard because although there are some good lengthy solo and g/g scenes, her b/g and bb/g scenes are incomplete. In an email from Roy that I received he said he was going to include some additional footage of her. I believe that there are more Met Art models throughout and in his new film the Lost Door one of the actresses could rival Luba for body and beauty. I wouldn't pay $110 if you don't have to most DVD players will play PAL. All-in-all I am satisfied with my purchase and the value I received for my money. Just wanted to clarify that I did pay $100 for each of the DVDs. I don't think that there is any place you can buy them for less. I have seen them on Ebay.fr and they go for more than that sometimes. Again worth the money for me because of their uniquiness and overall erotisism[Link] |

The Fourth Body is the book with the DVD sampler.Lovely book, very nice DVD. I wouldn't say there is less "production", there's less of the frenetic editing that Ninn is fond of, for me it's kind of relaxing, slightly playful apporach to porn without being boring. I like what I've seen of Stuart's. It's perfect background porn which is what most porn becomes... I think his work is erotic and the imagery is entertaining, the snippets and glimpses approach works fine for me. The watersports are of both kinds solo and with/on others both male and female.
The sampler is just that, the actual DVDs are much better. I only used Blake and Ninn as a reference point. Although I like Blake's early stuff and on occasion some of Ninn's, Stuarts is better. As is often noted about US porn compared to European the actors/models in Roy's stuff are natural and less plastic. In fact I would not be suprised to find that some of the women in his films are actual runway models. In no way was I saying that I did not get my money's worth. I seldom buy DVDs prefer to rent. In this case I chose to pay for and own this as it has more value than just you usual run-of-the-mill stuff that is being produced today. As for production values, my understanding is that most if not all of the footage is video of photo shoots. Kind of what Suze Randall sometimes shoots. After further review...The more I view the Glimpse DVDs the more I appreciate them. I missed the whole point of the titles. They are really a "glimpse" into the incredibly beautiful and erotic world of photography and art that Roy Stuart creates in and not meant to be like the mass of what else is out there. True erotica not just porn. There is nothing else like it that I have seen. I would recommend that everyone get at least one to see what the series is like. I plan on getting them all.[Link] |

Just wanted to mention that there's a Glimpse DVD available at a more reasonable price, distributed by Preziosa of Italy on the Rabbit label (seems to be broadly available on Italian online DVD stores). I'm presuming this equates to the first movie in the Glimpes series, and is not a compilation.Picture quality is generally very good although the odd moment of poor or non-existent sound (unfortunately on the tattoo studio scene Loraine mentioned on another thread) and slightly suspect editing did have me wondering. If any of the readers ( gsg??) who've seen the version sold by Roy's studio could give a brief summary of scenes, that would be most appreciated. [Link] |
