Do performers get royalties from their movie sales, or if the scene is re-used in a compilation? Cuz I don't think they do...

^ As far as I know, that's a definite no. I think it was Stoya (if memory serves...) on The Morning After Podcast who was saying she gets royalties from her fleshlight, and she discussed how performers do not get royalties for scenes.
I think they should though.

I think in rare instances if the movie is based entirely around one cover girl, with her in every scene, she may be able to negotiate for a small percentage on top of her upfront pay. But that may be coupled with contract clauses about her promoting the movie after it is made, and perhaps a no-compete clause for a limited time. I have heard that the interactive movies that ZT/3rd Degree makes include no-compete clauses against the girls starring in them making interactive movies for other companies for a couple of years. But royalties are rare. It certainly doesn't happen for the usual gonzo movie, or even features, not even for the performer playing the main character.
And compilations can be churned out in such large numbers in part because they don't have to pay the performers any more for them.
