I have a couple of rubber sex toys that seem to have spots and streaks in places that seem to have melted and turned hard and plasticky. Is this anything to be concerned about? Are these toys still useable? How and why does this happen?

They weren't really rubber, they were plastic with another chemical added to keep the plastic soft. That chemical is now breaking down. They should also have a strong smell now, if I'm correct. The chemical is called something hard to spell, like pthalates. I must not be spelling it right, because I couldn't find it in a search. But Lindi will tell you more. Don't use them anymore.

I would be concerned about the temperature inside my pussy if I started to melt my sex toys.

Blame it on friction.

Thanks everyone! That clears things up. There really isn't any smell, though. At least nothing unusual.
LOL! It was fine the last time it was used. It had been sitting in a box for a couple of months and when I pulled it out, it had broken down.
