If the rumor is true, it doesn't mean she got it on set.

That happens to be not true...

I canceled my shoot on Wednesday because I was not aware of it until the night before, and my test had just expired and needed a new one.

Even so, that is something that comes along with the business. It happens, and its easily cured.

Here you go... a copy of my test is easily retrieved from the internet, if you happen to know my real name.

Gossip site tend to be rather amusing...

Why am I not surprised that it turned out to be a whole lot of nothing? Typical gossip - a wee bit of truth and a whole lot of fiction.

"Gonorrhea of the ass"?

Does that even exist? I didn't think the ass "got" anything, other than rashes and ruptures and 'roids.

Well, I thought I remembered National Lampoon (on radio or LP) or Saturday Night Live doing a funny bit about "California Hot Tub Rectal Gonorrhea" (I distinctly remember Chevy Chase, who worked for both outfits, reading that phrase). The only link I could find wasn't as I remembered it though and not very funny (it doesn't feature Chase), it may be an excerpt:

http://www.collegehumor.com/sounds/hottub.wav

I'm not creating this as a link since it would play if you clicked on it, posters will have to cut and paste if they really want to hear it.

A mucus membrane is a mucus membrane. If you can catch it in your pussy (if you have one) you can catch it in your butt, in your mouth, and, I would imagine, up your nose - if you tried hard enough.

I'm with Ari on this one, though. It comes with the territory, it's a risk you take, and that one is easily cured. Gossip sites are a hoot!

"Pornstars have STDs"

You don't say! Here's some other headlines:

"Bush Has Important Job."
"Pot Smokers Often Live In Cluttered Appartments."
"Daily Scott Peterson and Kobe Updates Aren't Really News."
"The Penis: Friend Or Foe?----Some Say The Penis Causes Trouble."

What I'm saying is there's a certain amount of "duh" in play here. Surely, there's enough gonorrhea for everyone, and I don't get why anyone would be singled out here, or why it would concern us whether a particular starlet has this or that STD. As if such news would come as a shock. It's more shocking when pornstars have a clean bill of health! (Congrats!?!) Good luck to all ye out there walking the minefield every day.

[And don't talk about nose-fucking too loudly around here or someone will snatch up the idea and run with it. They'll make stars out of women from tribes who wear nose rings that expand the nasal passages wide enough to...]

Indeed. It's common enough outside the industry and readily detected & treated. For a performer in the industry it's hard to see how it can be avoided from time to time. After all, how many "degrees of separation" are there really from the most insolated Vivid ice-queen to the lowliest crack-whore turning tricks on the side for drugs?

There are plenty of other serious STDs to worry about such as Hepatitis, etc.

I don't care how common gonorrhea may be. If a girl has it, the pussy is no longer fresh and she becomes a part of my past.

Um, I don't quite know how to break the news, but none of these girls are exactly virgins.

In Real Life if you get it on with a girl who has a lot of experience (multiple partners) it's reasonable to assume she's had an STD at some point, and the only question is whether she still does.

I wouldn't expect porn to be any different in this regard.

Insisting that your favorite porn girl truly be fresh & pure is going to leave you with a very short shopping list at the rental store. It's best to go with the fantasy.

I've heard of "diarhhea of the mouth" (also known as "ADT Disease), but -- wow! Ick!!! Double ick!!!

Ariana, do you know of any ass-victims? Are pencillin enemas a porn-girl's third best friend? (After Scott Fayner and his dog, of course)

Unfortunately, STD's are a way of life not only in the porn industry but for anyone who leads a very sexually active lifestyle. As condoms aren't absolutely foolproof, the only way not to pick up any bugs is not to have any sexual contact in the first place...but what fun is that?

My, aren't we being judgmental ? If that's really the way you feel, then don't read the following thread here from AVN (Adult Video News, the trade magazine for the adult industry). It will certainly dash your expectations.

Do you refuse to watch porn scenes that feature men who have had STD's? I like Rocco Siffredi, but I don't hold it against the man that he's had herpes for over a decade, and that he's probably passed it on to any number of actresses, considering his long career. He estimates that he has done scenes with 4000 different women over an 18 year period, so you do the math.

It is a shame so many cannot take better care of themselves.
I don't mind a person acting out "dirty" deeds, but I don't want her to actually be "dirty".
Yes, I hold it against Rocco. I had read about him a few months ago and no longer have interest in his sex scenes.
