| mabal Member 122 Posts 5/04 | A short while ago, I managed to get hold of a DVD version of the Sarah Young film Decameron X Part 1 (on the Red Line label) from a shop in Italy (they no longer stock it). Just before Christmas I found a site with a DVD version of Decameron X Part 2 for sale (on the AZ Erotic Films label). I just had to have it for my Sarah Young collection. Unfortunately, this is a small shop based in Greece, and the site is of course also all in Greek (as you would expect for a site catering just for the local area). I tried using an online translator to attempt to understand the site, but this did not work – it came up with some very strange translations. Thinking that I would have to miss the opportunity to add to my collection, I thought that I would at least try one more thing (after all, what did I have to loose?), so I simply e-mailed the shop – in English, I wasn’t going to attempt translating it to Greek after the results that I’d already gotten – saying that I was interested in purchasing the DVD, would they post to the UK, and if they could help, would they contact me. To my surprise, I received a reply that day (also in English). They said that they had never thought about sending to the UK, but did not see why not. After several more e-mails, all the details of postage, payments etc. had been worked out and I sent them the amount they required (I decided to send payment in cash by registered mail). A few days later I had a further e-mail from the shop, informing me that they had received my payment, and had dispatched the DVD. A week later (with the 4 day Christmas holiday in-between – yes we get that here in England) I received the DVD. The picture quality of the DVD – titled X Decameron II – is excellent (I wasn’t sure what it was going to be like as I’d never heard of the label). It is in PAL format, the language is of course Italian, but it also has Greek and English subtitles. The shop where I got it from is called Erotica and you’ll find the film in the DVD Retro section. You’ll find their e-mail details [ invalid url http://www.erotica.gr/active.aspx?mode=XPageView&lang=el&node={777aeb4a-37d7-4e7f-92c0-ce982a66b5c4} ]. If you are interested in Decameron X 1, the only place that I know of that has it at the moment (on the Red Line label and titled X Decameron Part 1) is another Greek site – DVD-Sex. You could always ask Erotica if they could get it for you (after all, they also stock the AZ labelled X Decameron III – Sarah Young does not appear in this film though), or of course you could try what I did with Erotica, and e-mail DVD-Sex direct. As I’ve already said – What have you got to loose? Edited by - mabal on Dec 30 2004 [Link] |
