Hi,
is the hype on Sasha Grey over? I remember about a year ago, when every1 on this forum talked about her and her performances and that she'd be the next big thing in porn. Then she delivered some fucking great performances. She gave alot of effort and was admired for that. I thought she'd make it really big, like Jenna Haze or Aurora Snow.
Now it is seems to be quite calm around her.
Are there any new scenes you would mention that are smoking hot? I really like that girl.
Has she done any POV scene?

I didn't consider it a hype, Sasha is the real deal and she will be as long as he keep on making movies. I guess there's not a lot of talk because there aren't a lot of new movies with Sasha.

Sasha is one of the smartest young performers in the biz. She will be a star for as long as she wants to be. And, part of being smart is knowing when to rest your body, and how to keep the "porn star life" in balance with Real Life. I'm betting we haven't heard the last from Sasha, and that she will continue to grow as a performer.

I guess the hype toned down with the rise of Bree Olsen, and also because she stopped doing anal temporarily (medical reasons). Once she's back at her 100% and in full flow, pushing boundaries of what's acceptable and nasty in porn like she once intended....you'll probably see her being talked about everywhere again.
Good thing is, she isn't too much into drugs (yet), so don't have to worry about her losing focus.

You're right. Bree Olsen came quite soon after Sasha to be the next teenage sensation.
But what do you mean with she stopped doing anal due to medical reasons? Is she alright?

I think Sasha's got a great appeal which can be spread over a few genre types. I've seen her do rough stuff such as Gangbangs but I've also seen her do a very good scene with Bree Olson which was real close to being the type of lesbian porn I love watching even with the limited toy use those two connected and delivered a knockout scene. I think most of the scenes I've watched Sasha in would be the harder edged material and she's shown to be quite capable of handling whatever comes her way plus dishing it out usually with some great verbal quips. Is her hype going down, maybe a bit here as she's not been posting as much but in the industry I can bet she's still on quite a few lists of directors who're looking for great talent to make a movie with.

I wouldn't say the hype is over, it just seems Sasha slowed down her output quite a bit, whereas Bree, even with a new contract, still seems to have new content coming out every week. She's still one of my current faves.

Let's all remember. The performer doesn't have control over when her titles get released. Plus there's a slow down in productions--and directors will always pick a "fresher" face, because they're cheaper and hardcore porn fans have a very short attention/appreciation span for performers.
BTW, you don't have to be a doctor to know that a constant diet of anal sex/gonzo style will lead to "medical reasons" for petite girls to stop performing. At the current pace, we're going to go thru our Anal Queens very, very quickly.

Sasha Grey, WOW! I shot her and Jenna Haze last week. I stood in awe behind the camera as I watched these two.
I also have a scene with Sasha and Sandra Romain that will stop traffic! Sandra accidentally ripped off her fingernails getting to Sasha, (I was sortta scared...)
BTW, (speaking of Bree), the scene with Sasha in Boundaries was Bree's FIRST g/g scene. Bree's LAST g/g scene, (before her contract began with A & E), was shot for me as well, (opposite Jenna Haze).

To answer the question...it was never "hype" as Sasha has not only met expectations, but gone beyond them. I think it's good if she is slowing down a bit because she can get a "second wind" so to speak and come back strong. (That is if she intends to stick around in the world of porn...which as a fan I hope she does, but her health and well-being are exponentially more important...can I get a "duh"?)

I most certainly am not. The hardest "drug" I may occasionally use is Advil for my chronic back and neck pain; even then I usually ride through the pain. In-fact, I am sickened at the way our culture depends on quick relief substances for the body and/or mind.
2.I think Bono got it straight on. I used to think that if someone didn't like the vernacular I used in my scenes, that they shouldn't hire me. It's all about dynamics, and I accepted that-I believe it made me a better performer.
3. I have stated this before, and I will again: we performers don't have a say in the direction of a scene (unless that is you don't feel comfortable doing a particular sexual act). Start blaming me when it says "directed by sasha grey"
4. To close this- I look forward to working with you next week Mike :)

Yeah, it seems the "hype" might be over.
