You don't need to be embarrassed and you don't need to lose much weight, but you are a little bit older and nature is a bitch, especially to women. I recommend a fitness program that combines cardio with strength training. Crossfit is getting very popular and there's something I just heard of called Stronglifts that I'm looking into. I'm doing a couple different workout routines right now that have made a huge difference for me. The first one is this: two or three days a week, I do a Step Aerobics class for an hour followed by a group weight training class and then, if I'm feeling especially energetic I'll do the spinning class as well. It actually took me a couple of months to work my way up to being able to do 3 solid hours like that. The only downside to this workout is that the weights in the weight training class are a little too light for a guy. But, I also try to mix in some regular weight training with heavier weights. The other thing I do, when my schedule permits, is I go to this other gym where they have two types of group exercise classes. One is something they call cardio strength training and the other is a "boot camp" class. Both classes have you alternate treadmill or some other form of cardio with an exercise circuit. In the strength training one, you move from one weight station to the next. In the boot camp one, they have you do a variety of exercises mostly based on crossfit principles. The boot camp workout really, really helped me out. I know that type of workout program is somewhat popular right so if you are interested it shouldn't be too hard to find one in your area. For me personally, I find the structure of exercise classes really helpful. Working out on my own, it's too easy to not do what I need to do.

Obviously, when I look at the photos, I'm seeing some things. Others may not notice those "things" because they are, in fact, fairly minor.
