I tried pressing Print Screen, then opening Word (or any other paint/text program) and pasting the picture into it, but I get a very weird result. Those of you who have done this know what I'm talking about. My friend was somehow able to get a screen capture of one of his .mpg movies in WMP, but it took him a while to figure it out and he forgot how to do it. Any help is appreciated. By the way, I'm using WMP 9 and I have an NVIDIA GeForce 3 graphics card.  [Link] |

If you have PowerDVD or WinDVD, both of these programs have pretty good screen capture features built in. Of course, you could always use a general purpose screen capture program too such as Broderbund's Screen Shot Deluxe. If you click inside WMP to make it the active window pressing Alt & Print Scrn together will give a cap of the active WMP window only. Use WMP Full Screen mode before capture for a borderless image. Do you mean .WMV files? I have only successfully captured MPEG file images playing on WMP. I have not been able to capture .WMV file images. Again only played and captured MPEG files using PowerDVD as the original poster was talking about this file format.[Link] |
