I think I made a big mistake based on lack of information and cascading failures - all of which I take responsibility for, but I'm wondering if there is a solution.

. In November 2021 I signed up for a membership pat Hookup Hotshot for 30 days. I used my usual porn-purchase email address and porn credit card.

. Approximately three weeks into my monthly membership at Hookup Hotshot they offered a 50% discount on annual memberships. I tried to join but since an active membership was associated with my email address, I couldn't.

. I created a "throwaway" Gmail account for the sole purpose of signing up for an annual Hookup Hotshot membership. I used my usual porn credit card.

. I keep a Word document to track all my memberships, but I think the overlapping monthly and annual memberships caused me to track the wrong join date. (Though I'm also suspicious that by using the same credit card that created a confusion within the billing software.)

. My plan was to cancel my annual membership a week prior to it renewing and wait for another 50% sale.

. Because of the date screw up (and I'm not entirely certain this is my fault) the annual renewal at full price came through in November.

. The annual renewal was not from a biller I recognized. While it billed through Epoch, with which I am very familiar, this was different in that it was specifically out of Guernsey. This was suspicious. I had never seen this biller before that I could recall. Also, the amount was significantly more than I would usually spend for a porn membership.

. Keep in mind that since I used a "throwaway" Gmail account that even if the biller sent an email, I would not have seen it.

. Because I didn't recognize the charge (and coincidentally I had been buying multiple memberships at that time so there were several legitimate membership charges on my card) it appeared to me that my card had been hacked. I challenged the charge, and it was reversed. My card was cancelled and a new one issued.

. For obvious reasons, my credit card is likely blocked from purchases from this biller. I tried joining Hookup Hotshot recently and couldn't do so.

. I tried using PayPal by putting sufficient funds on my account so it wasn't linked to my bank, but that still doesn't work.

. I bought a prepaid credit card with sufficient funds to cover an annual membership but that doesn't work either.

. I think the obvious reason is that because there was a chargeback from my IP address, that my IP address is now blocked from future purchases.

Any idea how I can resolve this issue? I'm hoping that it's only Epoch Guernsey because if it is the Epoch US as well then I am truly screwed because many sites I subscribe to our billed through them.

Would a VPN help this situation? My technical abilities are limited so if a VPN is the solution, are there easy ones to set up and use? Are VPN services expensive?

I can join Hookup Hotshot using a different IP address. If I did this, do you think I could access that membership through the blocked IP address? What I mean is, is my IP address blocked from joining or would it be blocked from any access at all?

Would it just be a waste of my time to contact Epoch Guernsey and see if they have a solution?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
