I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this but is the search function for the forums not working for anyone else? The page loads but when I put my search string in and click the button, the page just freezes and I can't access any other ADT forum pages unless I stop the search.

Is anyone else having this trouble?

P.S. No smart-ass comments about me searching to see if this problem's been here before

I have had problems with the search function in the past on those occassions where I have restricted the search to one particular forum and set the 'search by date' setting back to a year or more. Then, sometimes, it will spend a long time searching (during which time, like Brooke_fan, I am also unable to load any other ADT pages) before finally delivering an error message.

The restricting by forum should actually increase the speed of the search results because it drastically reduces the scope of the search. The longest running searches are multi-word "match any words" types of queries. The search mechanism has to essentially search on each individual term and then join the subsets.
