What disappoint you when you see one of your favorite porn stars in person versus seeing them in a video? For me it is they are slimmer and not as voluptuous as they appear in video. I guess it is true, television put a few pounds on a person.

I can't say I have ever been dissapointed to see a porn star in person. I have enjoyed the visit. They seem even more pleasant in person. That is why I'd like to meet Kristina Rose, Penelope Piper Clyara Beau and a few others. They seem like such fun people.

I've seen female porn stars look like different people after working just a few years in the industry. Some you would likely have a hard time identifying in public without all the makeup on. The prolific male stars would be easy to identify but not so with the women.
^It's easier if you're in a place where people EXPECT to see porn stars. One of the reasons I haven't moved out of the midwest is that I can go out in public and risk almost no chance of being recognized for my adult work. It's like being a superhero in a way :) Take off the garish makeup, the fake eye lashes, and the slutty clothes and dress up a girl in something "normal" and no one knows what she does in the bedroom.
The only time I ever met porn stars in person was either at a convention, or an apperance of some kind. So they were made up and looked great in person. They were also very nice, so I was not dissappointed at all. I do think that the male porn stars I met in person looked shorter in person. But that was not a dissappointment.

In the 80s and 90s many porn stars performed live in theatres, but their acts were incredibly tame. I remember sitting about 10 feet from Mimi Myagi, and she was even prettier than in her vids. She did a tap dance and giggled a lot. Oh yeah, and signed autographs.
Kinda rude to say which pornstar disappointed in person so I'll just mention the one that impressed me the most. I saw Nikki Dial in 1992 when she was about 19. She was just STUNNING. Gorgeous with a perfect little body and a very sweet and bubbly personality.
I was disappointed that I couldn't spend more time talking to her. Well, I suppose I could have if I didn't mind being rude and holding up the line. Now, if you were to ask what surprised me, then the answer would be that they are all so tiny! Well, almost all. Vanessa Blue isn't, but when you're an Amazon goddess you ain't supposed to be.
I will carry to my grave the visage of Racquel Darrian from 5' away, absolutely stunned that a human being could possess such a tiny and perfect ass...

^ I'll disagree. While there are some exceptions to every rule, this is one of those times when the illusion of the girl is completely ruined when you spend more than a few minutes with them.

Adult performers are just people, nothing less, nothing more. No point in elevating them to some high platform or think of them in some elite manner. Some will impress, others will not. I have no connection to the adult industry but always found dealing with the public in some manner to be on the difficult side. You have a mixed bag when associating with the public and can encounter a lot of oddities and occasionally abusive people.

Katie Morgan's only 'negative' is that the 5'3" to 5'4" listings are a fib. On the positive side, photos and movies don't do her justice. Face-wise, what's she's really got going on can't be captured by a camera (at least in 2007 when I saw her). I couldn't stop looking at her. Mary Carey, on the other hand, is not sexy in person. The females in the club liked her better and I think it's mutual. Not that she's a favorite anyway.
I wouldn't say "disapointed" but I would say interesting. I'm almost always surprised at everyone's height. A lot of the girls (and guys) are shorter in person than I thought. For some reason a lot of girls whose breasts look huge on film don't look as big in real life (still big but not as big as on film). Some girls don't look as good in person as they do on film. Some girls look better in person. For the most part I think the majority of them look about the same in person as they do on film. I'm surprised that the vast majority of them that I've met are friendly, happy and upbeat as they are. I would think that after hours of kinda being on dislpay at a convention and having so many fans trying to interact with them in various ways it would wear them down and sour their mood but with the exception of one quasi-porngirl (Kathy Willets) I've never had a bad interaction with a pornstar.
I have never met any of them. To me, I'm satisfied with video. As long as they can create my fantasy on camera, that's all that really matters. I can't imagine seeing someone like Jenna Haze in person and being disappointed in any way.
Well I live in the Sherman Oaks area of California and I have meet many of my favorite stars almost daily. I will not say who was a let down but I will say who is really sweet. Phoenix Marie very cool person, Julia Ann loved meeting her Belladonna is just amazing really just the best!!. Also Flower Tucci!!! Alexis Texas ,Marie Luv! Misty Stone! Jessica Bangkok Annie Cruz Kelly devine and Savannah Gold are very nice with great personality's I have lots of pics with them as well.

I met Serenity at the Mitchell Bros when she was still dancing. She had a good stage presence, I thought she was very attractive, and friendly. Short though.
@oldguy. The girls are very pretty, and are often amenable to activities other than dancing, but it's expensive. I haven't been there for a couple of years but the cover was $45, and everything else, except for the dietcoke, was much more than that. The girls are fairly aggressive about private dances, so it's not a sit back and relax kind of place. My own preference is for smaller, more relaxed clubs, so I've only gone to Mitchell Bros for special occasions (parties, guests etc) or because they had a feature dancer I wanted to see. Since I live in the bayarea I've never bothered looking up local club evaluations, but I'm sure there are several places that have more current info about Mitchell Bros than I do.

I've known a few stars but I remember seeing Veronica Brazil after she retired with what I assume was her kid and bf or husband. It could be my imagination but she checked me out..perhaps because I was looking at her as well. I was pretty young then though...just outta college haha. When the star in question is lukewarm at best in terms of attitude when you meet her and acts either distracted, aloof, and / or condescending. Usually, this doesn't happen, but I'd be lying if I said that it didn't occur from time to time.
I met Midori at a strip club. She was very friendly, I was their with my wife (damn) we were selling clothes. But I did get to talk with her her, she was nice but very confident. Her dance was amazing.

i agree...met Tiana at an AEE a few years ago and she truly was hotter in person than any movie I'd seen her in...and she was dressed business casually which was a bit of a turn on lol
I met a Penthouse Pet at an adult expo a few years ago and she signed a photo of herself for me and I didn't believe the photo was actually her because she was waaaay prettier in person

I went to AEE about five or six times. All of the girls are smaller, much smaller than on screen. Gianna is an example I have cited a few times on this board. She is fuckin tiny in person and on the screen she usually looks like an Amazon. I think their boobs always looked smaller than on screen (for the most part) there are a few exceptions. Most of the girls were prettier and nicer in person. I met a few stars that made me like them less too though, just their vibe they gave off. Also up close its impossible not to see cottage cheese ass and imperfections that hide much better in the videos. Bottom line they are not perfect, they are regular people, they look human and regular in person.

I've come across several in person at various times and the ones that seem to be the nicest are the ones who aren't in character at the time. I had Tera Patrick sign a glossy at AEE a few years ago and she is by far the most drop dead stunningly beautiful women out there and pictures and filmed material don't do her any justice at all.

Interesting comment, I see measurements of a lot of girls and they do seem to be much larger on screen than they actually are based on simply the numbers. A lot of girls who are listed as just 5 feet tall seem much larger on screen. Sunny Lane is just one of many girls who fit this category, she is listed as 5 feet 0 inches but I would never know it on film. As for those who made you like them less in person and the vibes they gave off, I can bet you they likely did not want to be there. I've done a lot of traveling in my life and I can't recall ever coming into contact with someone during my travels who was a tourist and was rude, cold or impolite. They obviously wanted to be there and did not resent seeing others. Imagine attending functions, going places you really detest being, and think of your state of mind while there, you likely would not be very enthusiastic toward anyone. We all do things at times we hate doing.

Well, one way to look at it is this. They might look larger than life on screen but that's because the guys aren't that big either. Take a look at at Tommy Gunn, he's only 5'8", so if the girl is only 5'3" he's not that much taller, thus the girl looks taller.
I have to wonder if those AVN/AEE conventions are the same as they used to be. I used to years ago and not only were the vast majority of the girls super nice but many of them would get fairly wild with you. It never seemed like an act and they really seemed to be enjoying themselves. I see some of pics some of the guys post from cons and the girls seem a lot tamer and conservative than they used to be.

I have no idea about that, but I do know if you really do not want to attend a function, you should always be respectful, but it does not mean you have to be overly friendly or outgoing. My take is a lot of people do not care to be there which possibly means they are being strongly urged to attend, not by their own choice. If you think about it more it makes sense. I'm not that friendly when I meet people places I can't stand going either.
Living in SoCal, you get to see porn girls in person once in awhile. Sometimes "in the wild" or off-duty, so to speak; sometimes not. I never approach or speak to them, though. Many, many years ago I saw Shauna Grant at a premiere of one of her films at the Pussycat Theatre on Santa Monica Blvd. (WOW: how many different ways does that date ME?) It was a few months before her sad and untimely death. She was angry, drugged up, way late, and she was a sad thing to see. Around that same time, I saw Victoria Paris at the Beverly Center, walking with some friends. About 10 years later I saw Nikki Charm in the produce section of the supermarket. Cute and perky, as you would imagine. I saw Tara Patrick, twice. Once in a bagel shop in Oxnard of all places. At first I wasn't sure it was her, just that it was a stunningly beautiful, pre-boob job, woman. I then saw her ankle tattoo and that confirmed it. Years later I sat next to her and d-bag Evan Seinfeld for an hour in the Van Nuys courthouse cafeteria, while they were discussing some trademark lawsuit she was involved in with Vivid(?). Also in the Van Nuys courthouse I saw Sindee Jennings. Short, cute, very polite to the woman at the counter. Very unassuming. Again: cute. Well, that's all I can remember for now....
