i could be mistaken but i don't believe there was a "services" tab in task manager on my old PC. my question: are the processes that say "running" next to them under the services tab affecting the speed/functioning of my PC? i know the processes running under the "processes" tab do affect it, but under the services tab doesn't show any info on the memory, CPU, etc being used.
PS - i googled info on this before asking it but couldn't find any information

Services are lower-level operating system functions. Do NOT mess with them. Yes, they take up some memory and CPU cycles, but if you don't know what you are doing you'll just hose your computer and have to restart it, anyway.
