I am wondering if anyone has any info on a new label that has appeared recently that seems to come courtesy of the warped mind of a one John Thompson - he of German Goo Girls or GGG fame. Only three titles have surfaced so far but amongest others they feature Annette who appears in a number of 666 and GGG titles and seems to have earned the accolade of Mr Thompson’s number one slut since the demise of the world famous Betty. The films appear to be shot in similar studios to the GGG films yet appear to have a darker more sinister tone. Anyone had the pleasure of seeing one of these or know of any info such as what these titles feature? Are they the work of Mr Thompson and how do they differ from his usual fare? I am sure in this vast reservoir of porno knowledge someone can help.

I've just seen vol. 1 featuring Annette and exotic-looking Christina (the covergirl of Wer ficken will, muß schlucken!) and vol. 3 featuring girls that I don't know by name.
Vol. 3 contains trailers of vols. 1 and 2. Judging by the trailer, the covergirl (Alina) of vol. 2 (she's also on the cover of Bis zum letzten Tropfen by John Thompson Productions) seems to be absent from that DVD. But then maybe she is on the DVD but I just didn't recognize her from the trailer.
The Sex Box series combines GGG/666 style cumshots and pissing with extreme insertions like a baseball bat, and generally a more agressive demeanor, mostly of the guys (who wear strange robes and masks) towards the girls, but also between the girls. E.g. Annette repeatedly slaps Christina in the face.
There's a kind of stalking/abduction angle but in a very stylized form because it is all shot indoors and the girls wear kinky outfits from the start of the scene. So it does not convey the impression of (fake) rape, although in vol. 3 the covergirl is tied to a post and there's a kind of show of 'treatening' her with a pair of scissors and with a hammer. It doesn't real look menacing because it just doesn't look realistic, as I said, more like stylized. The girls seem to be into the action as well.
The cumshot/pissing action is very messy and intense. Both volumes end with the girls relaxing and smiling into the camera and offering some comments, as if to make it plain that it's just play, but that's pretty obvious from the start.
I wasn't really impressed with the lighting and camerawork, and I personally don't like the over-the-top 'slut' outfits. I much prefer a natural, girl-next-door look with normal clothes and not to much make-up, but that's a problem I have with much of JT's work.
Still, for those who like bit more agressive twist to the standard GGG/666 fare, this may be interesting.
Thanks eduardo911 your info was very helpful. I really enjoy the GGG films and love the 666 line but recently I think they have suffered from quantity over quality. The sex scenes have often been boring and simply filler in between the bukkake. Hopefully with this new line John Thompson will rediscover some enthusiasm and make the type of quality productions that were par for the course in the early GGG days. The new intensity and hard edge as well as the costumes and settings all appeal to me so I am going to give this line a go. Hopefully I will be rewarded, ill keep you posted.
Recently received the SexBox DVD and have to say that I was extremely disappointed. The concept is good and what is on the disc is good it is just that there is only two scenes and the scenes are virtually identical in that the setting and the participants are the same. What infuriated me the most however is that examination of the box cover suggests there is at least 4 scenes , two with the same girls which is the ones on the disc and then another two scenes, one with a new girl on her own and another where she is paired with Annette the cover girl. Yet neither of these scenes appear on the disc. In fact of the pictures on the packaging more than 50% are from scenes that are not on the film. I find this sort of thing an absolute disgrace and while the quality of John Thompson films has declined dramatically over time I never expected a cheap trick that is usually associated with bottom of the barrel companies. It is no wonder that Euro porn is dieing a slow death when one of its leading proponents treats their customers in such a shabby way. I am now even more reluctant to purchase from the JT stable than ever which is a real shame as it is one company that when they get it right the material is superb. Its jus that the dud ratio is continually increasing and while I may be a pervert I am no longer prepared to be ripped off for my troubles. I suppose that is one of the problems with buying porn that is geared to a more niche market, once they lure us in they know will keep coming back regardless, but I have had enough of getting less and paying more, a problem I might add that you rarely get with American material.
Shame you were disappointed, to tell you the truth I hadn't really paid attention to the scene depictions on the box. I agree that companies should deliver what is on the box.
I must also say that, while I've never attempted to communicate with GGG/John Thompson Prods directly, I've never gotten the impression that they pay much attention to what viewers/buyers think of their product.

Now, that comment makes me wonder! Last time I checked the boxcovers, all material that is made by John Thompson - no matter if you are talking GGG, JT, 666 or the nex Sex Box line of products - is published by German company VPS . So, basically and actually, no John Thompson product is released by GGG directly...... VPS is an old company that is around since more than 20 years. They were around long years before they started to publish porn-material and amongst their first porn-releases you will find the Private titles (which they still release in Germany). _________
Since I am already reviving an old thread, I may add a few comments about the new Sex Box series:
I watched numbers 1 to 6 and yet have to watch number 7.
Since what eduardo911 mentioned about style and quality seems just about right to me, I am not going into these aspects.
Here is what I think about the Sex Box films, so far: Numbers 1 and 2 feature some girls that have already been featured in many GGG and/or 666 films. I wasn´t really pleased with number 1, number 2 is quite ok, but the real deal starts with number 3! Just take a look at the cover (which you can see at EroDVD) and you will know what this is all about: Messy wet sex, sure not for the faint hearted. Girls are sure above average. So far number 3 is my personal favorite, followed by numbers 6 and 4, while number 5 is not recommandable.
I say leading proponent in the context of the fact that the company is one of the most popular European companies whose material consistently sells well. They are also continually expanding with new ranges and increased numbers of new titles. I refer not to the budgets of the films which are low but the size of the fan base and revenue generated. GGG is bare bones in terms of sets and other niceties but this is often what gives the material its edge. Most European porn companies are now reduced to releasing old classics and new material indistinguishable from US product with the exception being that the girls are often ugly and the product is overpriced.
Incidentally i cant believe that the talent in GGG is not paid, the girls surely are, and the hairy arse blokes who deposit their spunk and piss can hardly be called talent.
From the little I have seen, niceties as a half-way decent camera-man and some lighting other than borrowing halogen lights from the next best construction site would be to much to ask.From the little I have seen, the performers in GGG-productions are not beauty pageant material either. In fact persons not so nice as little Zartyr might call them outright ugly.GGG isn't paying their male talent, and AFAIK there was a time they even charged the male talent to appear in these movies. AFAIK professional performers, male and female, are not too fond of working for such a company.
As to the fanbase: Golam & Globus pictures also have a fanbase.
Sorry for not being exact. Here is the way this evolved: in December/January a German GGG fan gave me a Swedish(!) link to what seemed a new series by John Thompson. However no hint on this series could be found on the official shop site until February/March. So my conclusion in January was that John Thompson was looking for a different distribution channel for this series. And since I wanted to avoid the technical term "distribution channel" I wrote the above. The main idea was that people don't start searching for the "Sexbox" line in the official pages...No. 7? The official shop only is up to no. 6 . Why do they have an official shop when it's not up to date!
