Any Seymore Butts fan knows that Seymore has suddenly dropped off the face of the earth. His message board that he used to participate in, now serves as a format in which Seymore's fans can vent about their frustration. Alot of negative things were said recently about Seymore's dissapearing act and the fact that he did not update his website. suspiciously, the board miracously has been disabled.
I understand that Seymore has gone through alot but it is pathetic to just turn your back on your fans. He never let on that he was going to quit. Without his fans he would still be running some gym while watching Buttman videos.
I think everyone should lay off Seymore and give him a break. Perhaps he is very shaken about the recent prosecution efforts against him and/or is suffering from personal problems. Maybe the guy just found God or something.
Not everyone is willing to risk their freedom in order to be involved in the porn business. It's one thing to talk about it in the abstract and quite another to face a gung-ho DA (with unlimited resources) across the table threatening to lock you up.
Seymore doesn't owe porn fans anything in the future. If he wants to walk away from the industry and do something else, more power to him.

What was that vid he made (with Shane), Seymore Butts Pool Party? Some madman had been threatening to do something nasty. Seymore said this at the start of the flick. He and Shane had to move house. Maybe he's gone in hiding. Could be something similar. Regards, Rump.

Do you really believe someone was stalking him? If that really happened would Seymore make the guy famous by putting it in one of his movies? I don't think so.
As far as laying off Seymore, I just don't think he did it in the proper way. You don't tell your fans that everything is hunkydory and that they can expect great things in the future, and just disappear. If he posted a message on his board saying that he was leaving or even that he is taking a break, that would be totally fine. You don't just ignore the fan base you created and then take down your message board because you don't like what is being posted by those same fans.

Rumple, this was partially a misunderstanding on my part. For some reason I thought you were acusing me of making light of Seymore's prank in the wake of other terrorist events. It is clear to me now that you were directing your comments toward Seymore and Shane. In there defense, "Pool party" was filmed before 9/11, the uss cole, and the u.s. embassy bombings. The world was a different place then.

Calm down, dude. That "joke" was done almost ten years ago, and it wasn´t exactly about stalking. It was more about some "bad things" that caused the breakout between him and Shane. The stalker was mentioned, but en passant .

Did you really believe that all of that stuff just coincidentally happened to Seymore? Do you think that he just happened to go to a plant store and Angela Summers and Lynn LeMay where the people working there and just happened to be fucking with a strap-on in the "Adventures Of Seymore Butts"?
Some of the stuff was spontaneous, but the vast majority was planned in advance. The most obvious way to tell it something was spontaneous (that occurred with a non-professional porn star) is whether the scene was just a blowjob or used condoms. This was usually an indication that no HIV test was taken by this person.

Sadly, it looks like Seymore might be disappearing soon. After waiting for over 2 months for his Female Ejaculation DVD I was told that Seymore isn't filling his backorders and that none of the stores apparently have it in stock anymore.
Seymore's gonzo style was one of the best. Maybe the strains of the the charges against him got to him more than he let on. Or maybe he just needs some time to work out personal issues.
I do think it would be difficult for someone like that - with so many years invested in the industry to simply walk away for good.

Seymore's message board is back up but it looks like someone other than Seymore put it up. You could tell someone else is running Seymore's website. The message board now looks really bad and the top of the page has old announcements about Alisha. I don't know if Seymore is going to come back to the business but I hope that whoever is going to run his company makes releasing all his titles on DVD his main priority!!!
