Hello Guys and the AdultDVDTalk Forum!

First of all I would like to post by apperciation regarding this open minded platform which I keep reading for quite a while now!

Well, at this point I would like to introduce myself here:
My name is Christian Brings and I'm responsible at the german studio SG Video for their customer care and public relations. Please be so kind and excuse my english.

I noticed here at this place that some of you recently reported bad experiences with our material. I would like to inform you - and I hope the forum's moderator agrees to our philosophy - about a few facts regarding SG Video's productions:

1. There are no authorised download offers of our movies accross the net. All download opportunities you find is illegal and piracy.

2. We do not produce any DVD in the american NTSC norm.

We started a campaign against piracy now.

Piracy is a serious subject of crime and we are not willing to tolerate it any longer.

If any of you guys here ever bought a copied version on DVD of our movies and was disappointed by the quality, please contact me and let me know through which shop it was bought.

For now I would like to thank you for your attention and look forward to your reply.

You guys put out some great quality movies Christian and it's good to see you guys fighting piracy.

I do wonder why the movies on your site are that expensive. Like new movies are like $60, that's really too much in my opinion.

Hello Ramsey,

please let me explain to you why SG Video productions seem to be slightly more expensive than others.

As mentioned by most of the users here our production are quoted as quite high quality.
Quality ever has been one of SG Video's main topic and that means quality from the first to the last step through the production phase of a new video:

- most of the girls acting are beautiful and have a special character
- they expect adequate payment for their work as well as the acting guys - sorry, we don't need any additional actors at the moment ;-)
- unique locations around the world need to be found and organised
- local hairdresser and visagists prepare the girls for their scenes
- a camera men and an assistant is working for a couple of days on taking all scenes
- a photographer is around to take the shots for the artwork
- the film material is cut into the final movie by our professional cutter
- the DVD menue for the master needs to be done by a media studio
- the artwork needs to be done by an advertising agency
- the cover prints are made by a professional printing company
- the cover boxes are made by a wrapping specialist
- etc.

All these people are involved in producing a high quality erotic movie for a quite small community - and they all are qualified and specialists in their subject.
Of yourse we could do all this by ourselfes, but our main subject is having great ideas for great movies - and not folding boxes or printing four colour sheets.

Have you ever heard of that magic triangle?
(Well, this is probably a very german thing ...)

There are three topics: high quality - low price - quick delivery
Every customer wants all three at once!

But it doesn't work! You only can combine two of them!
And SG Video combines high quality with quick delivery - our customers expect new impressions every month!
This means a low price is not possible.

By the way, this triangle works on every thing you can buy for money!

Well, I hope this little excurse in economy didn't bore you too much, but this is exactly the reason why DVD of SG Video cost a bit more than the others - it still is an exclusive product!

Thank you for your attention,

Christian, SG Video Customer Care

Hi Christian!!

Thanks for joining our group! its always very interesting to hear from the studios!
I have been buying sg vhs/dvds for some years now i am quite happy to pay the price you charge for your products simply beacuase that you are by far the best producer of watersports dvds out there! before i discovered sg video i had tried manny other companies peeing films. most of which i have long since just chucked in the bin simply because of the low quality and lack of actuall peeing scenes in them!

The first tape i bought from you was street and panty pisser 12 which was and still is one of the best films i have ever seen! I love the great mix of scenes in that film from solo peeing, panty peeing and also female to male peeing! also the different locations and beutifull cast make this film a personal fav of mine - I would love to see the actress who is in the first scene of spp 12 again in a other film :)

The recenent editions of the street and panty series have become more of a solo female peeing series with no watersports or panty peeing. (however the cast are as beutifull as ever!!) So i have started to buy (as well as your spp films) videos from the uromania series and also hightide. this is because i love to see women peeing on men, men drinking womens pee and sex mixed in.

I would love to see sg video make a watersports film in which you featured women peeing onto men and lots of drinking and some sex mixed in!

Despite not being interested in scat, you would never get me as a customer since my policy goes:
DVD > 40 Euro: Sure "No Buy."
DVD about 10 Euro: "Sure buy" if I'm a little bit attracted.

Heck, for 60€ I nearly get two complete seasons of "Babylon 5", i.e. 12 DVDs, e.g.

BTW, as long as AlexD and stuff was available in the 40+€ scale it was very seldom bought by my friends, I myself only watched my friends DVDs, because I will never spend 40+€ on any DVD, even if Stanley Kubrick would send a new movie from heaven or hell.
Since I have discovered a video store which sells it for 19.90€ I have actually bought some, and I know of others, who have bought more AlexD's in the last six months, than in the last years.

You do the math.

These pharmacy prices were also considered to have played a major role in the downfall of the big german porn-studios, BTW (I know you are catering more to a niche).

edited for what could be mistaken as an attack

I think low-price 'dumping' of American porn in Europe had more to do with it than European price levels themselves.

There's a much longer thread on this in the archives, look there to read the whole discussion.

And, a welcome to SG Video! I look forward to reading your contributions to the forum. ('Urin Hexen' is a big favorite of mine.)

Hello Zartyr,

well, now you got me!
I think I'm not allowed to mention anything regarding shops, prices etc. at this place - which is fair.
Please check this forum for any prices of our products, many users have a clear idea of the market.
I can promise you will find original DVD of SG Video legally bought for a price that suits you.
And of course SG Video is far more than only scat.

Hi Scott,
thanks for your support!

Hello Grouper,

her last job for us was attending the SG Video Scat- & Watersports Party in Budapest september 2004.
Since then we didn't book her as we are working on other titles at the moment.

our two stars Yvonne and Silvia are totally into scat ...
Silvia is the dark haired one, she is from Brazil originally, Yvonne is the blonde one.

Hi Christian

There is one problem I always have when writing my reviews of SG video DVDs. Usually there are no names given for performers.

The review would read much better if I could give names, rather than writing "blonde girl", "girl 4" and so on. In our culture it is also more polite to use a person's name instead of such descriptions.

This would also help people who want to buy more DVDs of a girl they like to watch.

Could you please ask the studio if they could start to include names of performers on the disk. This could be a photo gallery with names, or name credits after each scene.

Of course, some of your stars are well known, like Tima and Fanny, but there are other girls who appear in many SG movies but I have not been able to discover their stage names.

(Naturally it is stage names I am looking for. I understand that for privacy you would not use performers real names on the disk.)

You will see from the Star Crossed forum on this site that many actresses have dedicated fans who buy every new movie that they make. If SG can help us to know their performers by name they may also benefit from this with more sales.

cheers

Christian,
There are two things to keep in mind regarding ADT members. First, although ADT is an American forum, we have lots of members from all over the world. PAL is the norm for many of our members.

Second, many of the US members, myself included, own DVD players that can convert PAL DVD's to an NTSC output. Many of these players, also mine included, have region coding disabled.

Because of these two things, you really can't assume that people who own DVD's from SG Video have purchased pirated copies just because you don't sell NTSC discs.

Good point Bill.

For everyone's information, the discs I have bought from SG were free of region codes, so will play in any region, even if your player is region restricted. I have played them on a region 4 (Australia) restricted player with no problem.

Regarding NTSC and PAL. Australia uses the PAL standard, but my DVD player has selectable output, so I can play all the NTSC discs I have bought from the USA on my PAL TV. The quality of the converted video signal is very good. This is the reverse of the situation you discussed, but I would think that most DVD players sold today should be able to convert both ways.

(I had to make a selection in the player's setup menu before this would work. My player had three output options, "NTSC", "PAL" and "auto". The default setting was "auto". I changed it to PAL.

A U.S. person who had this player would need to select "NTSC" instead of "auto" to make the player convert PAL discs to NTSC at the output. I mention this in detail because there may be other ADT members who want to check their own players to see if they can play European discs.)

Mr Christian
the Street and panty pisser series has been rationalized into
1. girl comes walking/driving
2. girl rubs her body, shows her tits/ass teasingly
3. girl faces camera standing or squatting and open legs
5. girl pulls panties to the side
6. girl pees ..
7. girl pulls panties back and covers pussy
8. girl walks/drives away

the girls are great looking, the production quality is great but it is getting monotonous.. please go back to the original script with variations (girl facing camera, facing away from camera, lying etc) and f/m, m/f, f/f watersports with sex as in the first 20 or so movies .. i am sure you would make many fans happy if you did.. cheers

Hello Licker,

since today we don't have this feature - apart from e.g. Fanny, Silvia or Yvonne - as many of the recent girls are amateur actresses and never thought about becoming a "porn star".
But thank you for bringing up this subject. I will forward this request to our teams at the set and at the cut work station.
Let's see what they think about it.
I will keep you updated.

Hello Bill,

please do not get me wrong! We do NOT assume that every guy in the U.S. who owns a SG Video DVD bought it illegally.
We know about the multinorm DVD player, too - and it's good for the customers across the world to get them.

The point of publishing "no legal NTSC DVD" is important to us, especially to protect our U.S. customers from sad experiences with SG Video movies: e.g. at sex stores in New York City or at websites located in the U.S. one is able to buy a DVD of our SPP series at 5.00 US$ in a cheap inlay box with a blank disc inside (or no box at all).
No need to talk about the quality this movie will appear on the screen ... and that it's not originally manufactured by SG Video.

As you are an american forum we hope that especially you are interested to get serious information about what studios in europe produce, what it looks like originally and what customers have to be aware of not to waisting their money on a presumably "cheap offer" which turns out to be complete rubbish.

And we don't want customers to link our companie's name with this bad quality!

If you don't want to discuss the subject of piracy and illegal download here, please let me know!

Hi guys!

We recently did a bit of research on the net regarding the SG Video Anti Piracy campaign.

We can confirm that the american website lovelot.com ONLY offers ripped off copies of our products to customers. And the prices there are more than expensive for this kind of illegal stuff. So, please be aware that you will spend a lot money on a lot of rubbish if you buy there!

..and probably 3rd generation VHS to DVD transfers..at about $20 each or so. Not worth it at all. What I can't believe is this guy can get away with selling Max Hardcore titles for $60!! I sure the hell hope at least those are originals for that price.

BTW they also run a site based in the UK (I think). I hope you at least nicely asked them to take down your videos or else you'd take further actions. Most people I assume WOULD do that unless they were stupid. I highly doubt they're making thousands off your titles anyway, or even hundreds. Not that that gives them the right to sell your movies.

Hello tmd5!

The chap who runs the lovelot.com site is quite an arrogant assh..., his "name" is Robert Zink. The site is registered to something that pretends to be an address in Lima, Peru.
We contacted him many times in the past and forced him to remove the copies of our titles he offers to the customers.

Parallel to the official "law way" against his business we started warning our customers not to buy from this site. Both ways take long ... but they are not hopeless ...

The other site is scatmovies.com that sells pirated versions of our products.
They pretend to be located in Denmark, but they ship from the USA, California.
Here also we MUST WARN our customers not to purchase anything from them!

They run a download page as well, scatcinemax.com, where they removed our movies a couple of months ago. If anyone of you locates our titles back on their page - or any other on the net -, a quick note is much appreciated!

Which UK site do you mean?
We have one on our research agenda at the moment, a company called HWV Media, they have a UK site and some others.

If anyone of you here ever purchased from them - or another website or high street shop - and thought the material was not original, please contact me!

Hi Guys!

News from the Anti Piracy front!

Today we received pirated copies purchased from scatmovies.com a kind customer from the UK was willing to provide us with.

The entire team was shocked by the poor quality these DVDs came in.
We really can't understand why people are willing to pay their hardly earned money for this material. It's not worth the value of the disc it's burned on.

In the near future we will publish some sequences of this material on our website as a warning to customers what they can expect if they buy from "companies" like scatmovies.com or lovelot.com.

We'll keep you updated!

Hello Fockwolfe!

Thank you for your honest explaination.

I hope you do the same with other pirated things in daily life, only because they are cheaper:
- spare parts for your car made somewhere in eastern Europe - especially for the break system ... don't worry - you can trust those!
- top ten music CDs from the flee market - great stuff - hopefully burned on a windows system to get a nice little virus included for free!
- stylish designer sunglasses e.g. by "Georgio Armani" or "Hugo Boss" for 10.00 $ quit - protect your eyes against the dangerous UVA rays with their cheap colored plastic glass perfectly!
- I could add endless to this list ...

A kind customer from the USA is sending over some stuff purchased from lovelot.com
I will publish here what the quality is like later!
I bet a box of champagne (real french one) that it's complete rubbish!

Hello Ramsey!

As far as we checked their site regarding our productions, they sometimes rename the series or cut a few movies to a new one.
Which doesn't make any difference to the fact that they still are pirated. Not even bootlegged as some members here assume.

A bootleg publication is made illegal from material that hasn't been published by the owner.
It could be an illegal live record e.g. of a concert or radio interview.

Within the porn industry this is hardly find ... as we don't have any live shows (apart from clubs) or TV broadcasted material.
So, all material sold by those companies are pirated copies of a VHS tape or a DVD from our original publication - as there is none of our material just disappearing from our studio ...
The fact that they are so poor in quality is that those companies always get PAL material as a "master".
The US market requires NTSC norm - which is poor quality anyway in comparison to PAL.
(The meaning of NTSC in Europe is "NeverTheSameColor" - which is true)

We confirm that the movies these companies offer and couldn't be found anywhere else are all renamed and recut from original material on the market!

Hello Fockwolfe!

I do agree with you!
Two days delivery, no PAL problems, poor quality ...
seems to be a perfect deal for you.

... BUT ...

The cost of the pirates to produce your copy is 0.50 $ for the disc.
Don't you agree that 5.00 $ would enough for such a product?

At shops in Europe you get original DVDs for 25.00 $ each.

Why paying the price of a real "Porsche" when you only get a replica?

Hello to all SG Video Fans Down Under!

This is an official warning to protect our customers from buying pirated copies from an australian shop called KAOS!

This shop has confirmed selling pirated copies of DVDs to their customers.

Sure you could, but SG is in Germany and these thieves are in Australia, that is going to be expensive. Not to mention that many courts in many countries don't think that they should help porn companies.

I can understand that but I think it's pretty fucked up people can steal from you with no problem and make a profit from it and you can't do nothing about it. It's up to us pornfans to just say no to pirated movies and stick with original DVD's. We shouldn't support thieves.

Hello Ramsey!

Thank you for posting these clear words!
You are absolutely right: the only chance for customers enjoying new top quality movies and studios continuing their business is to avoid buying pirated copies or downloading from eMules.

And this is important to all users here: Please report us if you have doubts about SG Video DVDs you purchased from shops around the world.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Actually newsgroups are one of the biggest problems right now when it comes to spreading copyright stuff including SG stuff. I mean they can close and track down people behind P2P programs and people who sell pirated stuff but they can't do that with newsgroups because there's no owner and people who post and download from newsgroups can stay anonymous.

Yes, they're made with a standalone DVD recorder. Someone just connects a VCR or DVD player up to it and presses record. He then takes that disc and can make hundreds of copies of it. I can't believe some of the place that actually sell third generation VHS to DVD copies for $20-$25. Gheesh, i'm not supporting piracy, but the least they could do for that price is make them of higher quality.

Anyone who says they are good quality is lying to themselves. Of course there are some people out there who could care less about the video quality in porn. I thought the same thing until I got some of those VHS to DVD transfers accidently from a site on accident.

I recently went to one site online. They sell european videos in the original box but everything else on the site is pirated. You have no idea what you are getting until you actually get it in the mail. I paid around $300 for all garbage that on a video quality scale was about a 4/10. Yes, really. I was almost going to demand my money back and I should have. I won't name any names here, but it's frustrating. All piracy is stealing and wrong, but I think the worst pirates are the ones that sell extremely low quality titles for $25.

We cooperate with two others studios "peedevil.com" and "koukouvayia-films.com" and report each other any link we see on the net.

Usually the owner of newsgroup server delete the files from their servers if you tell them the ID and the link. But you can imagine how much effort it is to search for the links, download their stuff, check the content and inform the abuse department.
In our case it is a full time job as SG Video material is the most pirated on the web! (Which we should take as a compliment in a cynical way ...).

The thing behind newsgroups is that the guys who post and download there would never ever spend an euro on legal material from a proper shop. These guys have an obsession about collecting and posting illegal files and we assume that even if they would have the money to buy original dvds they always would go for the "free" material.
The only guys who really make cash on pirated files are the newsgroup owners ... usually you have to pay an one time fee or monthly fee to get access to their servers ... dead clever ... and believe me - they don't pay any tax on their business!

... and it's kind of funny to read that those guys complaint about downloaded clips double times because of unclear names ... that the highlights of a movie are missing just the moment they are in high tention ... that files are incomplete and not working on their systems ...

It seems that we fight a bit like "Don Quichote" against the windmills ...

We always appreciate your feedback, links or any other information regarding this subject.

Regards,

Christian, SG Video Customer Care

Hello tmd5!

It would be much appreciated if you could publish the shop address here where your bad experience was made - just to keep other users away from them.

There were some pirate shops mentioned here many times before. We think a kind of "black list" is useful for everyone who appreciates good quality products.
It's up to every single customer to decide where to buy in the end ... but at least a warning has been published!

Nobody can be owner of a newsgroup, especially not in in the alt.* hierarchy, where most of the binary groups are located.
The closest call would be that usenet-users are owners of the groups.
You can only own a newsgroup-server, on which you can behave like master, king and emperor.
The content in usenet is provided by its users only.
If a newsserver is accessible for free (such servers exist even on purpose, although these AFAIK don't carry alt.binaries.*) there is no need to pay taxes, and if they charge fees they have to pay taxes.

In fact it is often the other way around that websites promote fora as their own, which are nothing else than usenet-groups mirrored in www and giving no hint that people are actually posting in newsgroups - and in doing so rob the members of the usenet community, because users give their expertise and advice for free and do not want their medium exploited by businesses.
Not to speak from the adverising that is dumped into (text only) groups.

Besides nntp may be the least efficient way to transport large files, even pictures on the net.

That newsgroups are perverted to means of file-sharing and some newsservers are especially set up for matching the needs for file-sharing via nntp is a whole different thing.

I wish you luck, because all these warez and pr0n downloading attracts a whole bunch of low brainers who post in html, can't configure their systems and so on and september will never end.

Hello Zartyr!

Thank you for your explaination!

Let me give you an example of making cash with a newsgroup server or file sharing server from illegal up- and download:

At rapidshare.de (german and english) many .avi files with clips from our videos are hosted. You have to pay 10 EUR to be able to download 10GB or 30 EUR for 50GB.
Users at nice-pp.com offer all links to the server.

At p2pworld.to (german) 4 EUR access fee is requested to see any link.

At easynews.com (english) a monthly fee of 10 $ is requiered to get access to the links.

All these payments go directly to the site owner.

I don't have any clue about the technic behind all this ... we have a webmaster caring for our systems ... and I might not use the technical correct phrases ... but I think we all here know what is ment.

From the examples you gave I think only easynews is a newsserver. The other seem to be dedicated to peer-to-peer exchange applications, which has nothing to do with usenet.
Usenet is also another medium than the web.

In usenet you post an article, which upon posting to usenet must get an identifier (I think that are the "links" you are talking about), the message-id which must not be used by any user during the next two years - onto a newsserver, quite like on a web-board.
The message also contains information in which group or groups this article belongs.
This server is then connected with one or more servers. All These servers check against each other which articles they carry, and if an article is not on a server the server pulls the article from a server which carries it.
So the various articles are spread throughout many servers throughout the world.
As opposed to this board where there is one server which all users use to read and post to, in usenet you use the next available server. Most ISPs, universities and so on also have newsservers, e.g.

If you ask an administrator of a newsserver to remove such an article, he can do it, because he is master, tyrant, dictator, whatever on his server.
But he cannot make sure that the article has not been already spread out to other servers, where he can do nothing.
This is also one of the reasons why usenet isn't the smartest way to transfer large files.
Using http and ftp you have one copy of an original file from which the download takes place, peer-to-peer servers only "show the way" to the original file AFAIK, but on usenet every server has to carry (a duplicate) of the original file.
So if a newsserver carries groups with binaries, it must have gigantic hard disks, so to speak.
And from what I know even these servers are mostly good for downloading pictures.
To free diskspace most servers hold articles only for a certain period of time, especially if they have to carry the loads of binary groups.
Sometimes users^W losers ask in newsgroups what they do wrong because they can't download whole films respectively all parts of a movie, and after getting scolded of piracy, they get "praised" for their intelligence admitting in public to be a criminal and then they get scolded for their lack of intelligence, because they do not have any glimpse of the technical background.
I think, if you do not have a really fast connection, i.e. something better than the usual cable provider offers, it must be extremely difficult to download a movie via usenet.
It seems these servers not only rip off the content providers, but also their customers (if the customer wants to download movies).

BTW, there are means to remove such articles from more servers than a single one ("cancels"), but there is no need to honor such a request.
But you should be very cautious if you should start cancelling articles you did not post yourself.
(This is done in usenet to get rid of commercial ads, e.g.) I don't know if such cancels are done for copyright violations or even (legally) possible. (My guess is that newsservers which would carry out such cancels, don't carry binary groups anyway.).
But instead of informing various news-admins, this would be a more elegant approach than informing each newsmaster personally.

If you want more information you should probably ask in the *.admin.* groups.
If you ask in de.* (the international german speaking hierarchy of usenet) they will probably send you to the admin-groups of alt.* anyway, but the regulars there are sometimes gurus who can give you good advice.
Another advice: before posting to - especially - a de.admin.* group inform yourself on the matter as good as you can, read all the Faqs and documents available and follow the code of conduct in usenet.

A few starting points on the matter:
in German:
Fremdcancel FAQ
another cancel FAQ

Please note that the section about binary cancel is for the de.* hierarchy, which has no groups dedicated for binaries.
Alo note that de.alt.* (which contains de.alt.dateien.*) is not a "subsidiary of de.* or rather de.!alt

alt.config FAQs

Try searching faqs.org
Same thing about cancels in the Big8, alt.*
Cancel Messages: Frequently Asked Questions

All faqs for de.*
This is too much?
read this first

If you dare to post in de.admin.*:
My advice: Don't use M$ OE and you have already eliminated 90% of potential errors/misbehavings.

BTW2, I am not sure about easynews.
But the newsservers of ISPs are often not well cared for (they don't carry out these "cancel requests", e.g., and so you download lots of spam, as opposed to good servers, where you don't even see the spam), have low "holding time" of articles, and so on.
So it is not atypical for users^W addicts to subscribe to such a "third party"-newsserver, even if they use only "text only" groups.

Hello Zartyr!

Thank you again for posting all these useful links!
I will follow them!

also, I informed our webmaster in detail about your explaination ... as I'm not confident with that technical subject ...

Just a quick note:

The forum for pee lovers nice-pp.com has been shut down by the owner of the website due to copyright infringements :-)
