Shane & Yvonne tell lots of stories about their days of "tramping around" (their phrase) as well as some interesting "inside" stories about things that happened that weekend. One (two part) story that I found to be pretty funny had to do with the cameraman. Shane explained during a scene where everybody on the RV was screwing around, except her, that the reason that she didn't join in was that it was the camera man's first shoot. She had the other camera and wanted to make sure that the trip wasn't a total waste because there was no good footage. After the trip there is one final scene with Shane, Yvonne & Peter North (Shane didn't know that Yvonne had arranged for Peter North to show up). Since Shane was still concerned about the camera man, and she was definitely going to be in this scene, she hired a second camera man. She actually hired Seymore Butts, her ex-fiance. I hope she does all of the commentaries with a second person. I think that the interaction with someone else made the commentary more interesting, maybe that's also why I like the Kevin Smith commentaries. That and the fact that neither of them take themselves too seriously and like to point out the stupid things that they do. [Link] |

I look forward to hearing someone's reaction to the commentary on SW2. We did both on the same day with a break for dinner between. Yvonne ordered a good bit of saki and when we got ready to start the second movie, she and Shane thought topless commentary would be fun. While Vince Voyeur is anally pounding Shane in the kitchen, the rest of the household (including the ex-boyfriend) returned from skiing.
