Belief should be able to undergo scrutiny. That is where the annoying part comes in. arthur has never made a real attempt to defend his side with facts or arguements. Ever since Roy, jr. resigned (or was forced out by some inane age-requirement made after the fact), there have been no Disney's in the Disney organization. Some thought Roy may return after Eisner's ignominious ouster, but thats a no-go since that lame-ass Board of Director's hired Eisner's hand-picked successor in Bob Iger . Seems the Disney battles began with Walt vs. Roy anyway. Some think Roy was actually the brain behind the company's creation, and Walt just used his superior business and promotion skills to effectively squeeze his brother out. Walt came up with the idea of using his own name as opposed to just Disney, since he (Walt) was so much more closely associated with the product - then he turned around and charged the company every time his name was used! Disney and his family. In the early 1980s, the family was thinking of selling Retlaw back to Walt Disney Productions, the idea being the family could get the cash and the company could own the name, seemed like a good deal. Everybody was on board except one member of the family: Roy E. Disney. He was outvoted, though, and the sale went through. Imagine if it hadn't: Walt Disney Productions would have had the poison pill of all time: "You can buy us, but you have to go to the family to buy the name 'Walt Disney.'" --t And for what it's worth, Walt didn't squeeze his brother Roy out, and Roy dedicated himself to "the Florida project" after Walt's death.
