Well, I have to admit that I have been shaving the base of my dick and balls for years. I have found that the wife will spend much more time kissing my balls if she isn't using my ball hairs as dental floss. It also offers a neater appearance and (to me) looks much better than looking like my dick is poking its head out of a bush. I normally shave about twice a week, since I hate the stubble. The itch factor hasn't been bad for me, but if it starts bothering you, use a vitamin E lotion. Also, use a good sharp razor (I like my Mach 3) and shaving gel to avoid the razor burn. Hope this helps.

As a long time shaver, and to recap from above, I can only say the Pros far outweigh the Cons:
Cons - ugly chafing and crotch wear in package area (includes increased irritability after working out). Maybe it's just the lack of "afro-cushioning", but after working out and working up a good sweat, my nether regions are more sensitive (almost to the point of being diaper rash). - public pubes. Hasn't happened yet, but my fear is of having to shower in front of others, and having to explain the "scorched earth" approach to grooming. - stubbies and razor nicks. Be a man. - risk of slipping during shaving, and suffering possible castration. Not even a consideration, having a razor around a man's package will always engender his full and undivided attention. Has anyone tried using the laser hair removal technique that seems to be pretty commonly advertised (in the LA area at least)?
