^ End of December is when it expires but it could be renewed for another year. I actually think it is beneficial to her career in the long run to be under contract with DP for a couple of years, but anything above three years will be detrimental to her career in my opinion.

Well Eva's an extremely smart cookie. She doesn't need to do that anal scene. She's a contract girl for the 2nd year now, she gets her paycheck anyway. As I said, she'll probably get an offer for a new contract after this year. She sells. The DP stuff is so damn boring they'd even be able to kill something as awesome as an Eva Lovia anal scene.
Exactly. In my opinion, DP produces nothing but boring, vanilla porn that is not worth the money it takes to produce it. Every scene is the same damn thing over and over, no new experiences, no taking it up a notch, no surprises for the girl, the audience, anyone. I don't know how anyone can enjoy it or how the company actually stays in business. Maybe that's a little harsh but those are my feelings on digital playground.
I'd argue that her career's basically peaked already if she doesn't leave after this year. The only people that benefit from a contract in this era is the talent from a financial prospective. I don't think many people signed up for DP because of Eva's being there. Aria's popularity basically stalled after she won the contract last year, and even when Megan Rain said she was going to be in the contest, a lot of the twitter replies were asking her not to do it. While it's great to have the financial security, if you look at the biggest stars right now (Riley, Anikka, Adriana, etc) none of them are on a contract. It's surprising to me that companies still use the archaic contract model in 2016.
Yeah, the problem from the talent's perspective is that DP doesnt dominate the industry the way Vivid did in the 90s. Although I think DP is a good company in general. Therefore the talent's star power could erode if she stays too long under contract . Kaylani Lei had that contract with Wicked for a long time. I didnt even realize she was still in the industry because she was with Wicked for so long. I seriously thought she had retired long ago.
In the modern Adult Industry, DP is like a comfortable throwback to the days when performers had cushy contracts and were in big budget movies and were treated more like stars rather than going from one random gonzo scene to another. I can see the appeal from that angle, but you are giving up a lot by being locked down.
I agree digital playground is vanilla porn also I got a membership like a year ago and it sucks u pay for membership and they still make u pay extra to download scenea

Yup and I can't see that business model being viable much longer. I wouldn't be surprised if you see the DP brand swallowed up and sort of disappearing, going to some niche area like Vivid tried doing, or maybe becoming another site like Brazzers or Naughty America. Eva is great, but she's not worth a membership fee and a download fee on top of that. No starlet is anymore. There are too many choices as far as viewing.
My dream business model for porn would be for Vivid Contract stars of the 90s to do 25% of thier scenes with Gonzo porn companies like Anabolic and Red Light District Video. I like both glamour porn and raw gonzo porn. The problem is that in the 90s glamour porn dominated too much. The problem today is that gonzo porn dominates too much. That's why I dont mind Eva having a contract with DP as long as it doesnt last too long.
