They charged me $ 10.75 for handling and shipping without DVD-boxes and cover (but you can get them at additional costs).

There's $ 24.95 stated for the cheapest shipping method in the Comparison Cart. Maybe that should be corrected because it could make them interesting for others, too.

I'm pretty sure that Drew can only use the information that he's provided by the stores, and sometimes these order shipping rate calculators can be, um, "interesting" to give exact shipping rates from for a site like ADT.

Either way, the onus is really on the stores to provide the correct/most updated information to ADT, in the interests of their own business.

Of course, posts like yours help "fill in the gaps" for the stuff that isn't obvious elsewhere.

The shipping information in the system for Action-DVD was put in place at least 2 years ago in our database and has not been updated since. We do not actively monitor the shipping costs at the various retailers so a change in shipping prices or methods will not get picked up on our end until we are notified, either by a thread in the forum like this or through notifcation by the retailer.

I am not sure what the particular answer is in this instance because (I think) Action-DVD uses destination-based shipping charges. Our system is not sophisticated enough to be able to calculate shipping charges based on specific addresses. We can handle country-based costs for international orders but not zip code-based for U.S. orders.

I also don´t monitor the international shopping forum so if there is something like this that needs my attention please do drop me an email directly. I´d be happy to correct it.

The rates in the price search are the default slow method rates. In order to accurately reflect the rates for each country I would have to key in each individually in the database which is very cumbersome. The rates for other destinations are typically higher. Most are $18.50 for first 8 items plus $0.29 per each additional item but not reflected in the price search.
