One of my fave sites for porn shopping is/was www.action-dvd.com but for the last few months I can not access it. Has the company finished or is there something wrong with my computer. Anyone know?, thanks.

Maximus,

Read your posting, went over and accessed action-dvd website/store with no problem. It came up immediately.

Better look at your computer, your connection, or possibly the service provider.

Action DVD changed ISPs around the time you started having problems. There's something wrong with the DNS resolution on your computer. I bet your system is trying to access their site at the old IP address. I had the same problem for a couple of days when they made the switch.

At the bottom of this page click on the link that says 'more stores'.

In the list that pops up, action-dvd is a listed/link. If what Drew Black says is true, this newer link should take you directly to the store.

nope!, still won't work. Even if I type "www.action-dvd.com" in my URL it won't load up.
Thanks for trying, if you have any more ideas please let me know

Curiouser and curiouser!

Both the link, and typing 'www.action-dvd.com' worked on my machine and connection.

Hmmmmm????

I've have not been having problems with Action-DVD lately, although, not long ago, I was having huge latency issues (3-5 min to load a page).

But lately, I have been having a problem with ADT's price search links to Action-DVD. When I click them, they just go off into the ether and never load. On the other hand, if I load Action-DVD directly and search for the DVD, it works perfectly.

Any firewall or new firewall installed that is perhaps blocking. Also check internet settings. If you are going through a company like AOL that has children settings prohibiting access to adult material, sometimes they reset on their own.

I just placed an order from Action earlier today with no problems. I use both AOL & Compuserve & always use the ADT link. Don't think I ever had to clear them under my internet privacy settings (I keep mine at medium).--menace

--maximus--

I was having problems for months trying to get on two specific sites (for business purposes). I talked with everyone from network guys to the top level of tech support at my ISP and still had no luck. I kept calling my ISP and my persistence paid off, a guy there had me ping their system which makes my computer send a signal to theirs and then sends it back to mine. After he had me read out the numbers to him over the phone he told me that my signal was taking way too long to reach him and then get back to me. He told me he was 90% sure that the problem was my network card. I was at the end of my rope and was willing to try anything. so I spent $20 and bought a new network card, and low and behold that was the problem, I now get on the sites I could not before. You might want to look into it, as that could also be the cause of your problems as it was mine, you never know.

Sure Steph - Although it does not matter what title I choose, any title does the same thing.

I am doing this as I type this message:

1) I type "she squirts" into the Price Search box at the top left of the page.

2) The results page is returned to me.

3) I select the top match, "She Squirts" and click on it.

4) The price comparison page is returned to me. Action-DVD is the second store listed.

5) I click on the Action-DVD logo.

6) Nothing is ever returned to me... it just keeps looking without finding.

This only happens with Action-DVD, all other stores respond with a page quickly (I'm on a T1). The URL it is trying to fetch is:

https://www.adultdvdtalk.com/click.asp?dst=52650063&id=ps

If you need more info, let me know.

That link is a redirector to the page you're seeking. It's a way for us to track all exit traffic.

Are you able to ping the server 'action-dvd.com' and 'www.action-dvd.com'? What IPs are being returned?

Drew, I can surf Action's web site with no problems. Here are the ping results:

action-dvd.com [66.132.2.11]
www.action-dvd.com [66.132.2.11]
