I've never ordered a toy, but I've read some reviews here on ADT and took a look at the mentioned stores which brought up some questions. I hope you can help me.
1. The reviewer of the fleshlight says it's the "Fleshlight 2". I couldn't find the name "Fleshlight 2" anywhere on any store. So is it really a newer version ? I'm interested in it because the first Fleshligt review sounded quite average to me, while the second one was quite obviously a thumbs up.
2. The ToyChest-Website says this device needs 2 Batteries. Since no other website says batteries are needed for that, maybe it's just a mistake, or does the ToyChest eventually have a newer version which really uses Batteries ?
3. I've heard some people say that the openings of this device aren't important because in the inside it's certainly all the same. On the ToyChest website, when clicking on the mouth-version, they say that the texture and muscular structure of a mouth has been rebuilt exactly. So there seems to be quite some big difference, doesn't it ?
4. Anybody know if the ToyChest possibly ships internationally ? Taking a look at the order form it seems they only ship to the US which is bad since they've got great prices :-( What's the best store or possibility to order for international shipment ?
5. I've come across three big Trademarks. These are 'Cyberskin', 'Futurotic' and 'Realistic'. All of them state to be more realistic than anything else. On the other hand I think items like the Fleshlight don't even use one of those materials and state to be the real thing as well. Anybody knows the difference between all these materials ? Which one does really feel real. Is there a material which is more real than the others or are they generally all the same ?
6. Concerning lubes I've heard that some of them can destroy the material. On the other hand sometimes you should even use some powder to keep the device in order. Unfortunately on the Store-Websites they don't always exactly say which lube is appropriate for that device. Although I read the Lube-Review from - I guess - Dumblonde, I'd really appreciate a little more clarification on that subject.

Spesedy - thanks for your inquiries, I'll try to answer the ones I can. All these different materials, like Cyberskin, etc. vs. all the different lubes, is VERY confusing, and I'm working on a compilation list of their properties as we speak, though it's not easy finding information on some. This much I know: The Fleshlight 2 apparently is the "new & improved" model of the original, and is made purely of silicone (no latex), so oil-based lubes such as baby oil can be used safely with this new one, as well as water based. No batteries are involved, that must have been a mistake. Here's a link to their website fleshlight where they do sell them directly, although for $59.00 The only lube that CANNOT be used is any containing silicone, oddly enough, because the two silicones will bind together and cause a meltdown of sorts. Eros, ID Millennium, & Wet Platinum are all silicone lubes. Talcum powder of any kind is fine for any toy, Cyberskin is silicone, so the above applies here too, Futurotic seems to be similar, just a different name, and probably is silicone as well, although I haven't confirmed this. Anything made of silicone tends to be more expensive. Realistic seems to be more of a descriptive name coined by Doc Johnsons, and I have asked that company for clarification, will post as soon as I hear. 1. Fleshlight 2 is just an improved version of the original. As Miss Blonde pointed out. I got mine from the toychest. It is not listed as Felshlight 2, just has the name fleshlight.
2. No batteries needed. Unless you purchase an egg to use with it.
3. The openings are not of the utmost importance. IF you feel strange putting your cock in an ass shaped opening then purchase something else. Although if you "tease" your cock with the opening of the device then the shape of the lips vs the vaginal opening might play a small role.
4. You can email and ask them.
5. I have a few cyberskin devices and one fleshlight. Which feels more realistic? The fleshlight does. I have used a cyberskin device and the fleshlight at the same time. It is noticable. The fleshlight holds heat better than the cyberskin devices. The fleshlight to me feels more like a warm mouth. Especially when its warm and you are using skin lotion. The cyberskin it feels like you are rubbing between soft flesh like butt checks or large breasts. But it does not hold heat very well. So it does not give that "human warmth" feeling.
6. You can use any lube with these two things. Just make sure you wash it then after it air dries apply some talc power. I use a scented baby power on mine. It helps keep its soft skin like feeling.

Who'd know that this device is made of silicone ? :) I wish you good luck for finding all the information you need for compiling your Lube-list, and I'm looking forward to it.

@all Now one weird thing happened to me, making me even more uncertain about that fleshlight-thing : Since I found it at Adam&Eve (although it's more expensive than at the ToyChest), and they're also willing to ship internationally, I wrote their customer-support an email concerning shipment and product-info. I'm still concerned about the naming convention 'Fleshlight' and 'Fleshlight 2' which appeared in the reviews although I haven't found a store yet which explicitly claims to sell the 2nd version, not even www.fleshlight.com. So I asked A&E if they knew about different versions, and which one they were offering. The answer was 'At the moment we don't offer the Fleshlight 2'.
Now that really irritates me. They got the same pictures on their site as any other site but claim they don't sell the newer version. Now either they are misinformed about that product and are selling the second version without knowing about the first, or they're really selling the first version as maybe many other stores do. Two other irritating points for me are :
a) the colour of the case which from store to store seems to vary between black, white and silver and also makes the impression of different versions being sold.
b) different product data like length of the sleeve which varies from 8" to 11" and other names for the material (some simply say it's silicone, some say it's rubber [although they might MEAN silicone] and some call it that gross name like 'Super duper real feel' or something like that which can also be found on the manufacturer's homepage.
So, since most of the stores don't seem to know what exactly they are selling, I'm asking again for your help to clarify that chaos a bit for me.

There is also a sticker on the top lid of the Fleshlight. But after washing it fades away and falls off. As you can see from the site they show/Have the Fleshlight 2.

I do not want to reveal to much about myself. But as a chemist I can tell you the fleshlight is using a higher grade of silicone than the cyberskin. The cyberskin seems to be a mixture of silicone and another synthetic polymer (plastic).

But THEN there were other problems ! (grrrrrr)
Some days ago I had e-mail contact to Bill from the A&E customer service. He said they couldn't ship videos and magazines and stuff like that to Germany because of customs. On the other hand toys were no problem (I have to admit I was a bit astonished since it has never been a problem for any other stores I ordered from). But when placing the order their orderform forced me to choose one free video which I didn't want because I knew they wouldn't ship my order if it contained a video. So after placing my order I wrote another mail to their customer support asking them to remove that video from my order to make sure the order would get through custom.
What I just got was a reply saying that they couldn't send videos to Germany, that they were sorry for that and that my credit-card hadn't been billed.
Well... Somehow that wasn't quite the answer I had expected. Maybe they didn't read my e-mail properly ? :-o So I just wrote another e-mail back asking for clarification what that e-mail meant. :)
Pffffffffffffffft... I guess I'm never gonna get such a device :}
Spesedy - I know what you're going thru, it seems with everything being computer-generated, it's harder for a special request to be noticed. Hopefully, an actual human will read your email & respond. If not, let us know - You WILL get your toy, one way or another! lol

Wow. I never thought it could be that difficult to get some product information on the net. You want to give A&E my email-address ? :-o They got my email address, but they still haven't answered my last mail. Maybe they need some time themselves to figure out what their reply meant ;) I'm also still waiting for a reply on the mail I sent them asking for clarification about the version-number- and material-confusion. I asked them to ask the manufacturer if they were not sure what exactly they are offering. This has been some days ago, but either they haven't found out the answer yet, or they thought my mail was annoying. Don't know. I'm still waiting patiently. The most annoying fact for me is that I don't know if they are processing my order or if they really canceled it.

Spesedy - I called Adam & Eve about the problem you were having, and they said when you get to the screen where you choose your free video, to click '1'. Apparently, this will choose an alternate freebie, like lube or something, rather than a video, and your order should go through. Don't worry about double-ordering, your complete order was canceled before. The gal I talked to, Taylor, was very helpful, and she said to be sure to call back if any more problems. I don't know if you can call from Europe, but they do have a toll free number 1-800-293-4654. If not, let me know & I'll call her back. Good luck! DB
Dumblonde - Thanks very much for the great help. I actually ordered again at A&E after reading your reply, although the confusion is perfect now. There is no '1' to click on where I'm asked to choose a free video. On the other hand I found out how to get around this. One of the offered items is NO video but a toy. It's called Virtual Virgin. I just always thought it was a video since it was listed under the column 'choose your free video'. Hmmmmmmmm... Although quite irritating, that usually would be great news. But then I took a look at the last order I had placed (I had saved the receipt page on my HD). I actually chose that Virtual Virgin at my last order without knowing it's a toy. So everything should have been ok, and nobody should have had a reason to cancel my order. I also never got a cancelation receipt, just the message that it was impossible to ship videos to Germany, that they're sorry about that situation and that my credit card wasn't billed.
So I'm not that sure about an eventual double-order. I also would have liked to get a reply in my mail from them instead of a nice person, who was kind enough to call them, telling me what to do. I'm also not sure about if it's possible to call them from here. The call might even cost quite some money although it's a toll-free number in the US. I don't know about that, but I don't want to make you any more work, so I guess I'll write another mail to their customer support (sigh).

I just got an email from Tony from A&E customer-support. He was very friendly. But his mail was pushing my confusion to the top when he told me that my 2 orders have already been shipped, and that I should write something like 'return to sender' on the one package I didn't want and send it back. Of course I can do that (and I'm going to if there's no other possibility), but I simply can't imagine that 2 orders should have been shipped.
I only got one shipping confirmation referring to my order from 12/20. That was my original order. My second order was just placed today (12/23) and nearly immediately canceled via email. I haven't placed any other orders at A&E yet. I simply can't imagine that the second order has already been processed and shipped in less than a day. And since I didn't get any shipping confirmation I'm really not sure what to think about it. I guess it's another mistake or misunderstanding (sigh). I already wrote another mail to their customer-support asking for a re-check of my shipped orders.
Oh, btw: I'm not writing this to throw discredit upon A&E or anybody else. After all my mails I'm convinced they've got some cool, friendly and helpful staff there. I just wanted to share this adventure which shows what a few misunderstandings and mistakes can do, and I actually start to get kind of amused.
If it wasn't for Dumblondes moral and real support, I think I had already jumped out of my window :]

Update: I just received another email from Tony at A&E. Somehow I've got the feeling that mailorder-companies put the most needed answers on function keys :) In my last mail I asked for a re-check of my account, and I wanted to know which orders were sent out, what they contained, when they were ordered and when they were shipped and why I only got 1 Shipping confirmation. The answer seemed to have been cut&pasted from the former reply and said that 2 orders were shipped but that I could write 'Return to sender' on one package and send it back. Wow... That answer wasn't as extensive as I had expected, but I guess I can send them another mail asking for a more detailed mail and will certainly get the same reply :) So it looks I can't do anything but wait. Of course... If you - DB - really don't have a problem with calling them I'd really appreciate it. :) Maybe you could find out how they managed to process and ship 1 of my two orders in less than a day and why I never got a shipping confirmation for that second order. I still can't imagine them having shipped the two orders since I canceled the second order only a very short time after placing it. The answer I got the same day told me it was already shipped. Then A&E have to be the fastest online store in this galaxy. They also told me I'd get a refund once they'd receive the one package back. So they obviously already billed my creditcard, and without even having gotten a shipping confirmation for the second order it's quite a bad feeling. I wonder what to do if I only receive one package but they billed my cc twice waiting for me to send back one package I never got. Puuuuuuuuuuh... Now THAT'S it ! :- As Dumblonde said I was indeed seeing the comedy behind all this. Today I got a mail from A&E which made me quite angry though. Wow... Didn't even think that was possible.
Short summary of the situation :
After writing a mail to A&E customer support asking for toy shipping to Germany they replied that toys were no problem, although they couldn't send videos and magazines to Germany. I placed a toy-order on 12/20 and after sending a mail to customer-support asking for an order status I got a mail telling me they were sorry but they couldn't send videos, magazines or catalogs to Germany and that my credit card hadn't been billed. Dumblonde also called their hotline and some lady called Taylor told her my order was canceled and I should re-order. So I ordered again on 12/23. Shortly after I had placed that order I received a shipping confirmation referring to my order from 12/20. I immediately wrote a mail to the customer-support explaining the situation and asking them to cancel my second order (only a few hours after having placed it). The same day (still the 23rd) I got a reply that my two orders had already been shipped. I knew this couldn't be and asked for a detailed re-check of my orders and which orders were shipped when, when I had placed them and what they contained, and I told them that I don't think that second order had already been shipped since it was only some hours after having placed it. To my surprise I didn't get a detailed reply but only a copy&paste-version from the former reply telling me that my two orders had already been shipped.
That we already knew. Now comes the news.
I just got another mail with a shipping notification stating my second order was shipped yesterday.
I was SOOOOOOO annoyed after having read that mail that I sent them another mail back making clear that I was annoyed and disappointed about the whole procedure and about the fact that my credit card was going to be billed twice and I was going to have the trouble to send the order back hoping it arrives safely so I was able to get a refund some time. And all that after immediately canceling my order and asking for a re-check several times always getting the reply my order had already been shipped and couldn't be canceled.
Now I'm really angry. I guess I have to count slowly to 100.
spesedy - 98-99-100! Oh man, the nightmare continues, huh? Sounds like they don't actually read their emails, as is true with so many companies. For years a mail order Co., I think A & E is probably not yet up to speed with online part of things, although supposedly they have an internet 'team'. If the method of shipping requires your signature upon receipt, when the second one arrives, you need only to refuse acceptance, ie: return to sender. If it just arrives in your mail, there should be some self-addressed shipping labels included. In the paperwork there's a place to write - Reason For Return: well, depending on your mood at the time, I don't think there's enough space here, heh heh. If it makes you feel any better, I actually sent back a USED toy that I wasn't happy with, and did receive a full refund - although A & E is the only place I know that has this policy, I beg you, Spesedy, please don't do what I know you're thinking! Well, let's hope that the worst is over - I'm sure the packages are insured each way, and I'm confident that you will be credited, they are very good that way. Without knowing your actual name, there's not much to be gained by calling them, at any rate it sounds like they've already flown the coop. So, what's next? A couple of stern looking German customs agents come knocking on your door (shudder), each holding one of your toys? Could make a good television movie...Spesedy is handcuffed, taken to "headquarters" and interrogated for hours by an officer resembling Heinrich Himmler with dental tools. Will await your update!

You're right. It happens quite often to me. Somehow I got the feeling some customer-supports (not necessarily of DVD-Mailorder companies but in general) can't handle more than one question at once. E.g. When I ask 4 questions, one of the following will happen :
a) the first question gets answered b) the last question gets answered c) they send a standard answer for a question I didn't ask d) no question gets answered, but they tell me how much they appreciate me being their customer
I guess they have to work on their multitasking capabilities a bit.
*g* That's possible. Maybe as reason for return I'll write something like 'Please take a look at that little book I wrote and sent back with this order'.
Receiving packages here depends : Sometimes the postman will try to fit the largest package into a little postbox by folding it. Other times he'll write a little note telling me to pick up the package at the post office. Again other times he's just lazy and rings up a neighbour to receive the package. And last but not least he may just lay it on the ground in front of the door. To me it's a mystery that not every second order vanishes somehow.

You read my thread in the Shopping forum when I was wondering why an originally sealed fivestar-dvd-box was empty ? They said that was extremely rare. And... well... It was my first order at fivestar. So much about my bad luck. At least their service was very good with somebody mailing me asking if I'd like to receive a free DVD for my trouble. That's an exceptional and generous handling which will certainly make me come back.
Oh... And you remember the thread where I wrote that I had received an async Elegant-Angel-DVD from ADN ? They told me that all the other copies they had on stock were totally ok, so this had to be quite unique. Maybe a left-over from an earlier print.
Then I sent it back and they told me they had never received it. There was my bad luck again. Somehow everything clarified at a later time and they promised me to send a replacement. It wasn't in stock though. Well... I had to wait for another month before it came in again. Just today I received my replacement. After opening the package I noticed that they had accidentally sent an earlier movie from the same series which I already had. I just wrote them a mail. We'll see how it works out.
Oh... and btw: Today I bought an electric toothbrush :-) The box was originally sealed from the manufacturer and when I was at home and opened it I noticed that the manual was showing a part I couldn't find in the box. What a great idea from your wife. Brushing teeth is important. Seems like there was some extensive use of a dictionary . Many of it is right, but I had to translate some of the words back into English to find out what they should mean in that context. I guess with 'ueberlappen' you meant my lap which means 'Schoß' in German. Ueberlappen is a verb which means 'overlap'.
All in all I think you've got some talent to learn that language. Maybe the next scene will be all-German
