Another preference is that I dont like lots of detail. I prefer long/full/wide shots. Some detail is OK but I prefer scenes that mostly have wide full body shots. I'd apreciate if you could provide some suggestions for videos with short scenes and/or mostly wide shots. Suggestions for specific scenes in specific videos (instead of full videos) would also be welcome. TIA  [Link] |

I agree with you about the long/full/wide shots. This is something I like to see too. Because it's more meaningful and hot, when you see whole human beings interacting with each other, rather than just some parts of them.
But close up shots are needed once in a while too. I'd like to know for example if the guy is banging the lady's pussy or ass, and this isn't always clear from long shots. The penetration shot is also interesting to see. And if the lady's body shows some sexual excitement, such as an erect nipple or an opened up pussy that stays open on its own, then I'd like to see this too in a close up shot.
Many scenes also appear too long for me. But this only because they show too much foreplay that seems to go on and on, long past the time when the banging should've started. I like 30-minute scenes, but I'd like to see less foreplay and more fuck in them. [Link] |

Many of the best gonzo directors focus more on full body shots Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel, Mason, William H, Jake Malone most of the time. Eddie Powell, both in his features and gonzo for New Sensations also shoots this way, his features tend to have shorter scenes, his gonzo longer.

For those of us who really love wide and full body shots, these directors fail to satisfy this preference. Mason's answer to full body shots is to shoot 95% from the ground up during most of her tease segments, stooping to follow the precedent set by the director hacks who crept into prominence during the porn boom of the last decade. The wierd angles in which even a grandma's ass looks good, get the FF and are a waste of an extended tease segment. All of these directors shoot the pops from the top down, and focus only the pornstar's head and the detail of the semen. The woman could be cum splattered, or wet from overflow, all the down to her thighs, and the erotic, dramatic, nature of the pop is not captured.

what would suit me is like a 5 minute edit, run through the positions, focus on female excitement, then gimme the pop innit
any suggestions? - I'd happily part with good money for 2 dozen short scenes over 2 hours

For short 5 - 10 minute edited scenes, X-Art.com from 2010 to 2011 is the place to go. Personally I found them overly edited and find the 15 minute scenes from 2012 better at providing a sense of continuity.
In terms of long wide shots, it is a very mixed bag. Some scenes have lots of close-ups peppered throughout, while others stay with the wide shot. I definitely prefer the latter. The 2012 formula seems to be lots of close-ups in the first half of the scene, with long wide shots in the second half when the heat rises. As a compromise, this works for me too.
Eddie Powell's GLAM-CORE has longer scenes, but is excellent for fans of long wide shots. I disagree with BlackSix in that his other gonzo films are a mash-up of every camera angle imaginable. Artistic, passionate and high production values, but ultimately unfappable for me.
Another good DVD release for long wide shots is Viv Thomas's THE ART OF SEX. The director, who I only know as Lewis, split to start his own internet site, DaneJones.com (aka Orgasms.xxx), following the same formula. My favourite site right now.[Link] |

I only like wide shots if the director isn't too lazy/cheap/whatever to use several cameras and spend some time editing the flick so I'm not sitting here watching a static shot from 20 feet away all the way through the scene. There are things in porn that need to be shot up close.
