Penthouse used to be kind of a middle ground between Playboy and Hustler, but now it has no identity. Like Rosco said, men looking for info on what kind of stereo to buy, etc. are more likely to buy Maxim or Details; men looking for hardcore photography are going to shift to Hustler, Club or any of the dozen other hardcore mags; and men who still want true dirty pictures in their men's magazine will probably stick with Playboy which at least knows what it is. Without Bob Guccione, Penthouse is just another magazine. IMHO, anyway. [Link] |
