That said Shyla could be in trouble if a few performers start to show a greater willingness to be porn performers first and not cam models or escorts or one and done performers. [Link] |

I feel like it's a catch 22 for Shyla much more than a coasting on her part: as pat said, I also think her looks are usually a decisive factor on the role she will get. At least for now, it's impossible to imagine her on more mature roles, even if she wants to try something like that - and I think she does - the "darker" scene with Aiden Ashley looks like a real shot of something different, at least for me. Then, if she only keeps getting the same roles, people will complain that she is not trying something different. For me, the "Poor Little Shyla" role is what she does best: an innocent, perturbed girl or something like that. But I don't want to every company book her to play roles like that. Looking on the bright side, I think Vampires feedback will help Shyla, Girlsway and the other models to evolve. As for her not having to worry about getting jobs, I think even if we had more performers doing only G/G she would still be a safe bet. She has a name, awards and a huge fan base. Also, it looks like she is not working that much this last year or so, so I think from now on maybe we'll see less of her anyway. [Link] |

I'm about to do my summary on the series in the forum (tl;dr I liked it more than Pat but there are a lot of ways to improve for next time) and I'm going to be the fourth comment that isn't unanimously praising it on the site. One of which was a cheap shot at Georgia which was in poor taste and the other two were downvoted heavily for being critical of Shyla's acting (a trend that happens any time someone's critical of her on the site). The question becomes if she can adapt to those roles and so far most people think she can't. My point is that I don't think she is coasting and I'm really optimistic of seeing Shyla evolving but I respect your opinion. I agree with you that in GW forum any critizes on Shyla is not that well received but I also feel that putting aside the downvotes, most discussions are pretty healthy over there as well like the one we're having here: a good talk with critizes and compliments without disrespecting the model. She's definitely on my all time top 5 actresses but I think sometimes people can't understand you can criticize and be a fan at the same time.
