Hi guys

Just thought I'd share the fact that I'm very annoyed that I received a mailshot/leaflet/catalogue from simplythebestdvd.com this morning. Ordered a couple of Max Hardcore euro editions from them a few weeks ago - very impressed with their service, but junk mail really pisses me off! There weren't any "little boxes" to tick when I placed my order, so really they haven't got my permission to send me junk mail. I hope it won't be a regular occurrence and I have logged a complaint with them. Admittedly it was in a brown envelope and was posted from within the UK but that ain't the point! Never had the problem from any other suppliers. Anyone else experienced it?

I have received this, indeed I get one or two catalogues from them (one blatantly advertising DVD-R copies) each month. Mailshots, in an ethical sense, should really be issued on an "opt-in" basis, but who really sticks to this? It bugs me as well that they ask you to write to them to cancel something you didn't ask for in the first place. I presume a polite email will suffice!

Got a positive response back to my e-mail. Apparently I won't be getting any more catalogues and leaflets. Gabriel Nine you might want to try too - the e-mail address is complaints@simplythebestdvd.com

I'd hate their spam to generate increased sales but I had forgotten about this site.

I had been tempted to order about two years ago but managed to talk myself out of it and stick with the tried and tested.

They have a pretty impressive line up of titles that I wouldn't be happy ordering from outside the UK and aren't even that happy ordering even if shipped from within the UK... does anyone have any possitive things to say about them?
