How common is it for porn websites where the owners are taking very long to update, longer and lesser than what they actually advertise on their website to get people to join? Two of my memberships have this problem. They're polite and apologetic about it, but it seems like they only really start working hard to solve it when people complain about it. I feel like in this day and age with the massive piracy, every company should be glad to have members and always try to please them. But they make their problems(not enough time to edit, being busy with other ventures etc.) the paying customer's problem. Not gonna mention names though.
Should there be a law where in cases like this the owners should give you a discount of some sorts and atleast change their advertisement?

^Can you name the two sites in question because I'm not aware of any current active sites that advertise one thing and delivery something different.

I'm thinking one of 'em is BangBros; there have been a lot of complaints on the BangBros feedback thread about inconsistent updates.

They're smaller amateur-based sites. Despite my grievances I really like their content and don't want to send them negative publicity.

^That's one way of looking at it but the other is that by naming them then you may very well get more people visiting their site which in turn may mean more paying members which will culminate in them offering more updates. Just a thought. In case you choose not to name them then can you tell me what their current update schedule is like.
I can be one heck of a hard ass when it comes to the B.S some sites offer potential customers. If you are curious just how bad I can be than read what I wrote about Georgia Jones site. I think I was fair but she didn't think so.

^Well for example this one advertises 2 to 4 updates a week, and for the last several months it has only been once a week and sometimes no new scene. Then members complain and they try to make up for it with 2 updates the next week, but that still gives a lower average than what they claim to produce.
Also sometimes it's not a hardcore scene but a tame solo, and then they defend it by saying 'we never said that we only post hardcore content'.
If I'm paying a 100 bucks a year I'd expect more, and imagine the unfortunate customers who pay 30 dolars for 1 month for this BS.

In their defense though they don't make much money from their websites as amateur porn sites in this day and age, so they can't afford a full-time editor who could fix all of these problems. Instead they do it themselves which takes time and causes delays. I get it.

^I think they would be better served to say one update per week and surprise their fans with the odd two from time to time and this way everybody would be happy. Especially when you consider that 100$ a year is less than 10$ per month which means that you are probably paying less than a large coffee at Starbucks per video. I would also like to point out that 100$ per year means that it is probably the least expensive solo model site on the net. Most are usually twice to three times that price. I got burned too many times in past to join 99% of solo model sites. I can tell within a few minutes of surfing a solo model site whether it's worth joining at any price or whether it's to be avoided at any cost.

The BangBros affiliates sites take a long time. The sites like:
BluePillMen
FuckySucky
XXXPawn
ArabsExposed
BlackLoads
etc.
All go weeks and sometimes months without updates. It's kind of dumb when you're paying on a monthly basis to many of these sites. Even once a month would be good, but no dice. Extremely inconsistent.
I mean they have BlackPatrol, which is regularly updating weekly, but who knows how long that will go on for.

Well I wanted something long term because I like their content so much, so there's 30 bucks a month, 66 for 6 months and 100 for a year.
I get that the one month option is the most expensive though because you get immediate access to a huge library of content.

The only thing that is guaranteed with a porn site membership is access to the site. Just because a site advertises something, like x-number of scenes per week, does not mean they're guaranteeing it. And in regards to long-term memberships, I never purchase a membership longer than three months.

^Sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with you. When a site says something and does something different than it's stops being just a glitch in communication and becomes false advertising which in my world is also called lying. I know that it's getting harder to know what a lie is because the mainstream media has spent the last few years avoiding using the words lie, lying and liar when discussing most subjects/people (especially when talking about politics). These days a lie is no longer called that but instead called an untruth. One of the reasons why I avoid most solo model sites is because they lie. I'm not saying the performer is lying because often they have little if anything to do with their own so called site. It's actually irrelevant who's lying because the paying customer is the one getting shafted. I will add that it doesn't matter the amount the person is being shafted for because although most people would tell you that they didn't care how bad a site was because they only paid a 1$ for the membership. To them I would say if that is true than take a 1$ bill and throw it in the garbage right now. How many people would do that and not think it`s a dumb idea and take back their dollar bill?
I'll finish by saying that any porn site that hopes to survive must make sure to always tell the truth to their current paying customers and potential customers because they won't stay in business for long if they lie to them.

That's called a dead site and a great example of lying to customers. In fact the vast majority of the sites included with the membership are also dead.

Pat362 has already torn up this logic but I'll just say that you haven't experienced a website that shafted you nor would you make these statements if it did. Internet porn is a saturated market and there are many websites that DO deliver on their promises and that is part of why they are successful and the ones that aren't, currently have these problems. To make a profit in this piracy age means you have to deliver.

To both of your points...sure, it's just plain lying on their part, however, if you expect them to give you a refund because you complain to them about it, you're shit out of luck. As far as I can tell, there are only two instances in which a porn membership site will give you a refund:
a) If for some reason, such as technical difficulties, you're unable to access the site despite having full, paid access to it.
b) Fraudulent purchase (so long as you can prove it).

^I never asked for a refund, but some level of compensation would be in order. And if this BS makes them lose members they will lose more money than they would by making things right.

^A wise webmaster would offer you a reduction in the price of your future membership. Of course that may not be all that appealing if you have a one year membership with many months still available before renewal.
