I particularly thought the Kimberly/Steven scene had some great acting and dialogue which made the scene very effective. Graham, did you write the dialogue here? It was well written and I commend the direction here too as well as the acting.

This movie isn't some thrown-together assembly-line gonzo movie. Looks like a bunch of thought, time and effort went into it and I hope to see more of this quality in the future. If that means less overall product in the future sacrificed for these higer quality movies I'm all for it.

I wrote the Kimberly scene, but it was a little last minute. I'd like to put more effort into writing scene set ups, or even a movie in the future because it's something I enjoy. It's just hard because there really isn't that much demand for that. It's a lot easier to market something with a simple, straightforward niche concept, a catchy title, and a memorable box cover.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie.

Graham, I'd love to see Elegant revisit the style of the classic Sodomania scenarios, somehow, and also it would be fun to see Patrick in a revival of some of those pervy scenes he used to do with young porn girls (like in the new Daddy Thing DVD).

One on one passion with some kink and some crazy is what porn really needs right now. Too much is set to automatic pilot.

Personally, I enjoy the effort that goes into setting up a scene. Part of the reason I like "classic" porn is because of the creativity or total lack thereof that helped define what the actors would do.

Gonzo and AllSex DVD's are fine and some and great, but honestly, if there is no dialogue or semblance of a plot, its just the same thing time after time after time after time. As much as I enjoy watching a particular actress, after a while, it feels like a bad relationship and you find yourself saying things you'd never ever say (i.e., "Lanny Barby getting DP again?!? You know what, I'll bet that Ronco knife infomercial is on now.")

It's just that little bit of artistic creativity which becomes the sugar that helps the medicine go down.

This video arrived just the other day.

As with most porn videos I like, I'm watching this scene-by-scene, one per pop. I saw the Tiffany/Manuel scene last night and it was fantastic!

Katsumi (yum!) and Mark Ashley are up next. Mark is very good at dominating girls in an erotic way, so I have high expectations.

At the same time, the scenes work because they stick to the basic elements: one-on-one passion. It's like having a really strong bass/drum section in a piece of music. Once you lay that foundation, you can get away with pretty much anything else.

My ONLY criticism, is that I wish a little more effort had been made to connect the scenes ... a slight framing narrative of any sort would have given the overall effect a little more impact.

The Venus scene is constantly growing on me. I could almost hear a sigh from my cock with the gas mask start, just because I was fully expecting the movie to get just a little too far out there and to not fit into the movie quite as well. Instead the more I think about the movie the more I'm thinking that it might be the second best scene in the movie and to be just a whisker behind Tiffany and Manuel's scene for being able to go far out there like it did and still maintain all the heat.

The other scene that I'm really, really impressed with was Adrianna's scene. Changing things as much as it does and still having it fit in the movie so well is not an easy thing to make work.

I also thought Katsumi and Venus were pretty special. Katsumi is smart, funny, sophisticated... so perfect. She was really vulnerable, and submissive in that scene. At one point I asked her to talk back to Mark a little and she said that she couldn't because she was getting so turned on. Some of those moments towards the end of that scene I felt were as powerful and as real as those shared between Manuel and Tiffany.

Venus was just incredibly cool. It's never easy shooting outside... running around naked in the dying light, in the cold, on a rocky path, in giant dominatrix boots + a gas mask. But, she really enjoyed doing something more creative, never complained, and threw herself into the sexual aggression that had built up between her and Sasha. She was a really lovely person.

A narrative thread would have helped. I think it would have made the whole thing a lot more cohesive. I also wanted to use more diverse locations. They are out there, it's just a question of taking the time to find them. In the next movie I shoot I'd like to take both of those elements up a notch.

Anyways, hopefully there will be some better movies on the way soon.
