It's no secret that some get overheated here when the topic of race comes into play. My man Justin Slayer is the current "Runaway Slave" of pron over at Evil Empire. I thought that Slayer was the 1st to be Unleashed , but after seeing Mr. Pete and Gina Lynn & Belladonna, I thought I would take a little tour of plantation life and this is what I found.

Apparently Adult Stars has been unleashed for years. Alexis, Andrew Blake, Ariana, Jenna, Tabitha, Nacho. Hell, even Housewives & Dicks are even in the slavery game.

Where does it end!

I have a hard time making the connection between the verb to unleash and slavery.

Well, a slave is someone on a leash, I guess, right? A person being controlled by an outside force against their will. And a leash does that.

So, to free a slave would be to unleash him/her, I suppose.

But, this "leashing" isn't strictly a slavery term, so to apply that meaning to every movie title containing the word unleashed is ridiculous. I'm not saying that's what Pocketcomb_Pimp is doing, just that doing so would be silly.

What I think unleashed refers to most of the time is the release of the libido, freeing the sex drive from the constraints we put on ourselves to get along in a civilized society.

However, sometimes, as in the case of Ariana's unleashed movie, slavery is specifically spotlighted. The tag line on the box-cover for that movie is something along the lines of, "Tonight, her master will give her a slave to play with." Well, here we have a direct mention of slavery, and the title suggests that Ariana is being "unleashed" by her master and allowed to control both herself and her newly "leashed" play toy.

But, this is sexual slavery in these movies. And sexual slavery is different as portrayed in porn than, say, racial or ethnic slavery as it exists in reality, past and present.

As to Pocket_comb's post, I suspect it was a joke.

Full ACK.

Aside from movies the motive of black/white slavery is quite common in pornographic comics and literature (also in "fanfic" type stories, most often written by women).

The white wife of the land-owner with the black stable-boy;
the white mistress and the black slave who switch positions due to a revolution or something;
in the "damsel in distress" genre it seems to be a law that one mishap of the white lady has to be to become the slave of some dark-skinned tribe-chief or similar.

BTW, I never understood the label IR.
I mean it is a guy doing woman, what is so special about this, if the guy has a darker skin colour?

To me it's about breaking chains. If you ever see Lavar Burton on the "Roots" DVD he's breaking the chains to do things his way. That's all I was saying. I had no idea that so many other stars felt like they were breaking free of stereotypes and contracts by "Unleashing" themselves.

It's all good though, and thanks for the link to "DICKtionary.com" Always one person out there committed to pissing on a party.

I’m sorry. I didn’t realise that self victimisation was considered funny in the US.

In the future, I’ll be more considered when somebody makes strained connections.

How about this, if you ain't got nothing nice to say.... I hope you know the rest. It;s obvious to most that posted that the connection was not strained.

I do invite you post your "DICKtionary.com" deffinitions in other members threads. Sonner or later someone will say the things to you that I have too much tact to share.

OK, guys. The risk of an obscure joke is that somebody might not see the humor in it. So, how about this. We agree that this is a silly play on the word "unleashed" and stop the bickering.

Hardware,

I think all of us were in agreement with your statement with the exception of the 1st offender. It would be one thing if I was dippin in, but seeing as it's my thread, the ultimate word on the implied meaning should fall on me.

I do appreciate you stopping through though, cause it was nothing more than an attempt at light hearted banter on the growing rise in unleashed titles.

And that seems as good a note to end on as any.
