Thanks! Slayed certainly has a very unique, distinct look/presentation, and I do appreciate that. There's only one other producer -- Straplez -- that has a look just as distinctive (though different from Slayed). I also really like the fact that they have very high quality still photography, when most other producers are just doing screenshots.
As an example, you can see in this Annaleigh and Sasha scene, they have the two of them in one set of outfits in the video (top) and a different set of lingerie for the photoshoot (bottom). This is pretty much unheard of.
Yes, yes, yes! After the frustrating 21-day release schedule, we finally have the perfect pair. I truly hope they return for at least two-preferably four-every month. And now, ladies and gentlemen, the legendary Charlotte Stokely and the Italian goddess, Valentina Nappi!
Came here just to say that. They can't even be bothered to lower the price. That much for a single scene a month that's blurred until the week of release? Hell no.
^^ Yes. I strongly suspect that girl-girl is not viable as part of a websites 'Group' that is otherwise entirely heterosexual. This fact strongly marks out Vixen Media Group from, for example, MetArt Network. VMG present girl-girl as an adjunct to a smorgasbord of hetero pornography. This hetero-predominance has become only more evident as VMG expanded further - with Milfy in June 2023 and Wifey in March 2025. There seems a certain rationale, and perhaps inevitability too, for VMG to pull the plug on Slayed as the non-hetero site. It is, however, most unfortunate for those of us, like myself, who are exclusively interested in girl-girl.
I was going to disagree with you, but upon further reflection, you may have a point. Sure, mainstream lesbian porn has always been mixed together with straight porn. Yet there is such a thing as "going too far" -- perhaps VMG's native audience is just too hetero focused. You brought up the example of MetArt. I'll use Adult Time. Girlsway was there from the very beginning, and they also have a growing library of trans content. A couple of years ago I did a count, and nearly half of their content is non-straight. The point is that their lesbian content is apparently doing pretty well with their audience, because their audience -- like MetArt's audience, but unlike VMG's audience -- is much more receptive to that content.
We have seen both GirlGirl (Jules Jordan) & LesbianX (XEmpire) fade into oblivion. They were both attempts at upscale g/g content much like Slayed. It's no surprise what is going down now. As for Girlsway, if I remember correctly they cut back on the number of scenes they were churning out weekly even before the Adulttime takeover. Granted, they were putting out a ton of content in those days. Who else puts out a considerable amount of g/g content currently? Well, there is the vanilla porn operation WowGirls. Haven't been following them closely, but they still appear to be surviving.
Many thanks for your interesting comments on this. I think your observations about the differences in 'audience' between the various company groups are spot on. My guess is that VMG have proprietary information that indicates both that Slayed is underused by 'Vixen Plus+' subscribers (all 9 VMG sites) and that single-site subscribers to Slayed are relatively few in comparison to single-site subscribers to their 8 other (hetero) sites.
This is so incredibly frustrating. First Twistys, and now this!?
It's getting really, really tough for a G/G fan these days. Especially if you are most "old school" with a focus on the views. Like Blacked did for IR before it, I had hoped that Slayed would kick off a renewed interest in G/G, but alas, it was not meant to be.
I'm just wondering if it would have made more sense to go the other route and raise prices to keep it at 4 scenes a week.
Question for everyone on here? - How much would you pay if you knew that they were going to release 8 scenes a month? I'm asking because I am curious if they had focused more on concentrating on hardcore G/G fans with slightly deeper pockets would have helped.
It's not clear to me GirlGirl was necessarily "higher scale" than Girlsway. Lesbian X, in the old days, probably was more costly to produce, but that's probably because their anal focus. As for Girlsway, I don't know when Adult Time took it over, but their production reduction coincided with the pandemic. They still produced 189 scenes last year (compared to their high point, which was 320 scenes in 2018). Considering a very large proportion of their scenes (far larger than any other g/g producer) are threesomes, their cost is probably very high.
In fact, the point of production cost (which may or may not be the point you were trying to make with "upscale") is worth pondering. In my study on Girlsway videos from 2014-2023, over that decade, about 20% of their scenes are threesomes (or more). To put this in perspective, Slayed so far has released 162 scenes, of which just 4 have more than 2 women. This is just 2%. Personally I prefer one on one scenes, so I actually like this, but from a cost perspective, it's not clear to me that all the glossiness of Slayed is necessarily more costly than Girlsway, as threesome scenes by definite has to cost at least 50% more (in terms of paying performers) to produce.
I would have been happy to pay a massively increased subscription, if that was what was required to maintain the original 7-day release schedule (i.e. 52 scenes a year). I would probably define 'massive' as a 250%-350% increase. One caveat: I think to move to a 'deeper pockets subscriber' business model would require ring-fencing Slayed, by which I mean moving it to a stand alone site off of Vixen Plus+ (9 site subscription). This would, of course, undermine the 'totality of content in one place' Vixen Plus+ subscription. So I circle back to my previous statements that the 'hetero-heaviness' of VMG is the fundamental problem. Slayed is the outlier, yet cannot be adequately cut loose for it to thrive.
Adulttime came into being in 2018. I don't remember when Girlsway 1st reduced their output of weekly released scenes. I do remember it as a subject of discussion on their forum. My definition of an an upscale operation involves the quality of the sets, camera work & hiring the biggest porn stars.
The idea of a quality g/g site at a higher price has been brought up before. I am/have been skeptical of the concept. Still, what has been done has not worked. So, I'd be happy to see someone give it a try. Just not holding my breath on that becoming a reality.
If Slayed indeed shuts down, as indicated by their lack of new content, interaction in their comment sections, and Twitter posts, I at least hope Vixen will continue to make new G/G content every so often on their hetero sites like they did prior to Slayed but with more consistent releases. Kendra did scenes with Ana and Riley for Vixen and Blacked, and Tushy had Lana with Adriana and Eva with Kayden.
I agree completely. As I have mentioned before (to which blackdragontea replied), the subscription model itself (i.e. access to an ever-growing archive coupled with a limited forthcoming release schedule) seems redundant. I doubt the subscription model would exist except for the fact it has been bequeathed from an earlier, 1990s internet. Why it still exists today is unfathomable to me. Surely access to an archive should be seperated from individually purchasable new scenes, which are not themselves added to the archive until sufficient time has passed?
When Slayed was launched it had a clearly articulated conceptual vision, which could be used to crowdfund productions. If crowdfunding did not work, nothing would be lost. But to my knowledge it has not even been tried. The subscription model is lazy business thinking.
Well, I was hoping that they would at least take the censor off of their upcoming video previews a week in advance with them only releasing new content once a month, but it seems they're sticking with the 3 days prior as always. Very disappointed.
Nice! Thanks for the info. I got this screen cap from the trailer.
The finger-tongue combo again! This thing is really becoming standard in lesbian porn isn't it? If true, I'd say this would be one of the biggest development in mainstream lesbian porn since kissing became widely adopted. G-spot + clitoral stimulation = almost unfakable sexual pleasure.
I think the next update (September 30) may feature Anna Claire Clouds - and before she got the large forearm tattoo discussed in the GirlsWay: Official Thread.
With the three-week release schedule, it's difficult to sustain interest in the site. I found the two-week release schedule only borderline tolerable.
It's very unfortunate that Slayed has gone to a one scene every 3 weeks release schedule, because, wow, when they are good, they can really blow the competition out of the water. Apologies about the large number of screen caps, but this is really a sensational, almost perfect scene, between Matty Mila Perez and Scarlet Skies, released on 8/19/25.
I'm vaguely familiar with the American redhead Scarlet Skies, but I haven't watched any of her scenes in detail. As for Matty, I was entirely unaware of her existence. According to IAFD she's Belarusian and has done many scenes in Europe, including many g/g scenes. This seems to be her first one on one g/g scene with an American woman.
All I can say is - wow. Scarlet, with her glossy red hair and alabaster skin, looks mindblowingly gorgeous. RhinoLS says Matty looks like Shyla Jennings, though she also vaguely reminds me of Alina Lopez, but it's her sexual talent that shocks me. Anyway, the opening tease is done really well, with the girls putting dresses on each other (instead of taking them off), which is surprisingly sexy. Note the big smiles - given what is to come later, this seems to hint at genuine chemistry between them.
The kissing is not deep, but still very energetic. Both women have pretty small breasts, but both do an amazing job suckling on each other. Also, note Scarlet's ridiculously sexy stiff nipples.
Matty's oral is flawless, and Slayed's patented closeup captures wonderful shots of her deeply licking Scarlet.
After briefly licking Matty from below, Scarlet puts on an absolute masterclass of rimming. Seriously, this is as good as any analingus I've ever seen. It's that good. Wow.
Matty returns the favor by fucking Scarlet hard with her expert fingers - also note the outstanding eye contact in this scene. Time and again they look deeply into each others' eyes, which is very sexy. Matty gives off a lot top energy, with her take charge attitude, deep kissing, tongue sucking, and more energetic oral.
Then she matches Scarlet's performance by kissing, sucking, and licking Scarlet's asshole. As the kids say these days, this is just pure cinema. In the one lone false note of the scene - and I blame this on the director, who no doubt is the author of this - they do some bad face to face tribbing. They also do some feet stuff, which I'm neutral toward, but at least both are fully committed.
Scarlet comes back with some first class oral of her own, again including wonderful closeups.
More excellent finger fucking by Matty, more excellent eye contact. There's also a great 69, with great oral by both women.
More finger fucking, more lovely eye contact. This is truly amazing stuff.
The scene ends with something that is a personal pet cause of mine - I think most tribbing in g/g is badly done, and the women would be better off in most cases just rubbing themselves on the other's thighs -- it's as if Matty read my mind! She looks fantastic rubbing her pussy against Scarlet's thigh. This is all the more shocking given that they had already done the "tribbing" earlier, so there's no need to do something like this again to fulfill some quota. Therefore this is likely done spontaneously by Matty just because she wants to. She also finger fucks Scarlet some more at the same time.
So far the members rate this one as the second highest ranked scene of all time on Slayed. Over time the rating will probably come down, but it's definitely one of the best.
Damn, man, what a perfect review! This might be the only review where you've added this many pictures. It's hard to fill your space when it comes to reviews because, man, you're really good - like the god of reviews. I hope you come back while I'm away because I want to enjoy reading your reviews here.
Thanks for the too-high praise! I think I went a bit overboard with the screencaps, I probably should have edited it down a bit. Still, it doesn't change the fact that scene itself is pure gold.
It's hard to disagree with either of your recent sentiments. The decline of Slayed is surprising given that Mike Miller remains at the helm of Vixen Media Group (VMG): it was Miller who was identified by director Laurent Sky in his 2021 AVN interview as "the creator of the site". Miller was one of the founders of VMG and the executive producer of Slayed. The continual diminution of Slayed is one of the most disappointing things to have occurred in girl-girl over the past 2 years.
They simply dont care about Slayed. Every site has a 7 day release schedule, slayed has a 21 release. They seem to be avoiding any commente asking about the release schedule as well. Its only a matter of time til Slayed isn't releasing any more content.
I doubt that Vixen doesn't want to out out frequent Slayed content or don't care about the site. I think the issue is that relatively nobody likes GG enough to buy it. Can't keep paying to make videos if the videos aren't making revenue.
But to a certain extent it is self-fulfilling because the number of single-site subscriptions to Slayed must decline each time the release schedule is slowed.
Slayed went from hyper-stylized content and high production values with the top girls or the big names in the lesbian genre to 'sex-in-the-same-old-room' schick with performers who are not renowned for girl-girl - as evidenced by the next release with Nala Brooks & Melanie Marie.
I have no idea if anyone from Vixen/Slayed actually reads reviews and comments anywhere anymore. They don't seem to interact in the comments on their own site anymore which is very disappointing. Lack of interaction and low output of content just makes me want to give up, but I'll post this last list of pairings (or just performers in general) that I'd love to see in 2026 just in case someone out there is watching.
No particular order:
-Ryan Ryans & Vicki Chase -Alex Coal & Serene Siren -Freya Parker & Victoria Voxxx -Hazel Moore & Lilly Bell -Kylie Rocket & Vanna Bardot -Rissa May & Melody Marks -Sarah Arabic & Violet Myers -Kenna James & Alina Lopez -Isa Bella & MyCookieJar
True! Group scenes - threesomes, foursomes, moresomes - are not my thing. And I also dislike those Slayed scenes with the skin-toned Travertine Tiling as the backdrop.
In contrast, the teaser for the upcoming scene for Feb 24 looks interesting:
