I don't know about anyone else, but 2003 seems like a very slow year for porn. I would have thought other wise, since so many directors have started their own company or series this year, but it hasn't really happened.

Maybe all the changes at Anabolic/RLD have slowed down momentum, but other studios also seem stuck in a rut.

Maybe it's because the few series that really peak my interest are only produced infrequently.

Maybe it's because no one specific star has really made 2003 her year; like Belladonna in 2002.

Well there's always the last half of the year, and I haven't seen RLD's No Cum Dodging Allowed or Anabolic's Double Stuffed or what ever new series Brandon is secretly cooking up, so maybe 2003 will be a killer year after all.

Yeah, it seems like PXP and RLD alone can account for 2 great titles every week! And Joey Silvera, especially, seems to producing new DVDs almost as fast. So, for me, there's more than I can keep up with,

I agree that Ana/Dia are off to a slow start. I also believe that Private is dragging their heels.

But Evil and DVSX have been cranking em out this year!

In the last 4 days alone I watched Service Animals 14, Internal Combustion and one of the best eye candy movies I ever saw, Lost Angels: Michelle Michaels. It doesn't get any better.

This is the true Golden Age!

Considering how much of my paycheck just went to XRentDVD, et al, all I can say is thank God it's a slow year. If it was any busier I'd be broke! LOL

Although I haven't seen anything from PXP and Zero Tolerance, I've heard excellent things about both of them. RLD came out of the gate swinging, and I haven't seen them really let up, and Evil Angel is one of the most consistent studios out there in the good way! I've also seen great things from Wicked (such as their great Hercules double disc set), Hustler has been nicely improving their overall DVDs to the point that I'm normally listing them in my personal top 5 studios, and Adam & Eve looks to be putting some effort into being one of the top couples studios after lacking a bit last year. Nah, I think this is turning into a great year for porn fans!

I don't know, maybe. I will admit to being extremely picky about what porn I watch.

When I said slow I didn't mean bad, as much as I meant predictable.

I just thought last year had a lot more buzz and excitement. Between Brandon, Jules, RLD, and Belladonna, it was always a new surprise around the corner.

I just don't think anything has come out this year to really shake things up, though the new blood at RLD will certainly affect this and so will Plat X, so maybe changes are percolating like a cup of coffee.

I dont know about the industry as a whole, but it is a slow porn year for me. I am just not as interested as I used to be. I havent seen a new girl in awhile that has made me wanna go out and buy a movie featuring her. Nor have I seen a video that I absolutely have to buy. The only DVD im looking forward to is the new Shanes World. I just dont have the money to buy like I used to, so it is a very slow year for me.
I also want to point out that the industry has really picked up in the mainstream market. I was watching a show yesterday on TechTV about the porn industry and technology. I see pornstars all the time on Comedy Central, like on Insomniac and The Man Show. It is really getting popular, and I think we are not far off from having a lot more pornstars turning into full-fledged celebrities.
