| Haze Deactivated User 769 Posts 7/04 | I rented this movie called "Get Yo Orgy On 2" by West Coast Productions. Its a few years old but has a decent cast. I'm watching it and maybe midway through I distinctly see a little kid walk though a doorway peep in curiously and then leave. Its weird cause it wasn't even edited out. What was the deal did someone not have time to find a sitter? Also isn't this illegal? [Link] |
| realtip Deactivated User 2301 Posts 6/04 | There was an episode of Law & Order: SVU in which the same thing happened. Cops had gone onto a porno set to question a porn star about a crime, and they found the underage child of one of the performers there on set. Since they say art imitates life, maybe this kind of thing happens more often than we realize. |

My parents say I walked in on them and said "I know what you're doing, you're humping!" Apparently it ruined the mood. Sex should not 'scar' or be tabboo. Violence should be. |

It's not about being open-minded, it's about the scientific fact that children who are exposed to this can (often will) have real problems with sex and intimacy later on in life. I'd do some research on it, cause being confronted with it when you're very young can lead to all sorts of disorders when it comes to being comfortable with sex later on. |

Sexual mores and taboos are determined by social and communal standards. Actually what you are describing are customs set in place during the Victorian age where upper class sex was deeply constrained. It has been said of the time that upper class Victorians were not allowed to have sex and lower class Victorians were not allowed to steal. You are correct that you should do some research on the matter as you are clearly clueless about the subject. |
| Tinybee Member 40 Posts 2/09 | I live in Holland which I can assure you is more or less the country that is least affected by Victorian purists in this modern age. I was exposed/introduced to the concept of sex at the age of 4, and I think most of my urges (frustrations at some point) that some would consider extreme stem from the fact that I didn't have the understanding to see sex for what it is. You have to remember children learn and absorb things far faster than they can process the thought behind it. A child can not understand the feelings involved with sex as fast as it can absorb the images of it. You simply need a certain maturity in order to understand feelings that your body does not even have yet. Morals are taught by society, they're not instinctive. Yet a child that walks in on 2 people having sex or fighting will be shocked, but a child that walks in on people doing drugs (another example of the effect of morals) will not be shocked at all. What does this tell you? I truly believe that sex can have a very bad effect on children if they're exposed to it early, and even more so if their parents arent capable enough to explain it to them (mine were fortunately). For the record, I consider 'children' as people below 10-ish. Above that, I believe they have the mental capacity for sex to not be shocking anymore. If you still feel sex has no effect on children, then go ahead and sit on the coach with your children or some random neighbourhood kid and watch porn with them. I appreciate that you are taking a hard stand against prudes that have no reason for their claims other than baseless morals, but I know you don't really believe that children should be exposed to sex any more than they should be exposed to violence, no matter how much we all appreciate sex. Kids have enough to worry and learn about without the added sex factor. [mod edit: don't quote the post above your own, just use the "up arrow"] Edited by - killbillvol69 on 2/16/2009 4:31:31 PM |

It is interesting that you should use fighting and sex as examples of childhood psychological trauma. Constant exposure to violence (fear) can certainly have troubling consequences in the emotional development of a child, there is however no empirical evidence that consensual sex between couples in the pretense of a child has any positive or negative impact on a child in and of itself. It is society that places the taboos and creates to guilt as a means of control. |
| Tinybee Member 40 Posts 2/09 | Thing is that cases like this will likely always be confined to anecdotal evidence. I don't think scientists will actually do valid tests which would require regularly exposing small children to pornography or other sexual influences. Case that comes to mind is the experiments centuries ago that proved babies will literally die without affection in the form of touch. Very interesting and important to know, but in these days, we would never actually do the same experiments again. Sadly humans are completely unique in many mental regards, so even animal testing would give insufficient results. So all we can do is research molesters, rapists, people with sexual/emotional disorders or any other kind of mental illness related to sex and see what the causes could have been. Be it complete indoctrination of society shutting them off from sex or, the opposite, overexposure to sex at an age at which they were too young to process it properly. Anyway, the topic is perhaps a bit too off-topic for a forum where we discuss our favorite cumshots and pussyshapes. |

Ok, the more you write the stupider it gets. So, if I believe that children will not be effected by walking in on parents 'humping' or see some porn on tv (or even the INTERNET!) then I must watch porn with my kids? What type of fvcked logic is that? I think you do have some problems. After all (as Larry Flynt famously stated) "it's only sex", it's not like they saw someone's head blown-off on tv - now that could cause some damage.... |
| Tinybee Member 40 Posts 2/09 | Stop taking things out of context and making cheap arguements over it. That post was in reply to Clam Digger who actually made valid and useful points, which is why I quoted him and not the topic starter or anyone else when I made that comment. If you're going to bother to post, at least have the decency to read and comprehense an entire write-up instead of just a single line that can easily be misinterpreted. |

Stop constructing poorly architected arguments and then whining when you are called on them. You made a simple statement, how did I take it out of context? It's in black and white. What am I not getting? If you want to have a private discussion then do it via email, but to say that you cannot be critiqued because the post was not directed at me, is well, you know..... | Tinybee Member 40 Posts 2/09 | No. I said that if you feel porn or anything sex related has no effect whatsoever on children, then you should have no problem at all with sitting on the couch with any random kid. Now, your response alone tells us all that you don't think this is a particularly good thing to do. So why are you even argueing against me? Did I say that I think a random glimpse of encounter with sex will scar a child for life? No. I said overexposure to sex will have a far deeper consequence than you might realise. I suggest you read what I wrote again. Particularly my words "If you still feel" and your words "so if I think" followed by YOUR words, NOT MINE. and see that you make a comment that fits in the context 'black/white', when it really isnt. Oh and you can stop with your ridiculous cliche quotes that have no ground to stand on. Especially cause your only goal is not to discuss, educate or inform, but to pick a random line to devaluate any opinion that is not your own. "Dig" more please. |
| typvgs Member 46 Posts 9/05 | You know, my wife is a vegetarian, and we don't feed out son meat, either. He thinks of animals as really cute and would be totally traumatized to know they're killed and slaughtered for food. Yet, if we're at a retaurant, I do eat meat, and I just say it's 'daddy's food'. He's fine with it and doesn't bother asking more. Some kids grow up on farms and by his age of 2 have probably seen lots of animals killed. Those kids are just fine, too. They're not necessarily traumitized. It's all about the parents, what they're like, what they do, and what the kid can understand. I don't think watching people have sex at age 2 is necessarily tramatic. In a lot of past cultures, and maybe some tribal ones today, parents do have sex in front of their kids. It works, because it's seen as normal. Personally, we tend to avoid the violence on TV, because it scares him. But, he's probably watched R-rated (18 cert), sensual sex scenes. To him, it's like mummy and daddy kissing in bed. He wouldn't really take any particular interest in the scene. With kids, if you make a big deal out of something, then they remember. Otherwise, they only pay attention to what they're interested in. It's possible that the kid in the porn will recall some exciting day when they went to a studio. For all we know, the bit of sex scene he saw looked boring to him and holds little significance. If it was a rough scene with mommy, that's another story. Otherwise, he'll only remember or even care about it if the adults around him make a big deal out of it. |

| john lyons Senior Member Co-founder of Vinegar Syndrome 1188 Posts 1/08 | In none of those cases were the kids engaging in sex or on screen during a sex scene, but I find it amazing how are double standards allow kids to be in brutally violent films (and sometimes play large parts in the brutality) but we all faint if we see a minor in a film with sex and nudity. |

Also Through the Looking Glass. I realize I mis-spoke as what I wrote infers that I can think of 30 or so films where minors have large acting roles. That I cannot. Even as bold as many filmmakers were in the 70s, they still usually shied away from things like that, due to the legal problems. A few more films which openly feature minors: Tongue - a group of teenage schoolgirls (real teens and pre-teens) make fun of Al Poe's character. Babyface - one of the brothel's clients has a young son. Wanda Whips Wall street - a client's wife is cradling a real baby in a hospital scene. Numerous Euro films of the era feature kids in small, non sexual roles. |
