Without my passing judgement or expressing any opinion on the topic, I would completely understand if Jewel De'Nyle made no further comment or said anything else in a discussion like this again. In her position, I know I wouldn't. Not saying that it isn't viable or appropriate as a discussion topic in general, her Mom did participate willingly in a press release, but I know I'd steer clear of it were I in Jewel's shoes.
I get that as a professional who's never been embarrassed by her career, and who has gone a long way towards bringing a positive light on her industry, Jewel has always been a pretty standup person. And she probably won't, or can't, duck all the media related questions that are sure to come her way surrounding this. But some family dynamics and situations just need to remain private. Especially in a free-for-all setting like this.
I can't see anything good, or informative, coming from Jewel participating in an open forum on this particular topic.
I love De'Bella, and her husband... and Jewel. They have been like family to me every time I've been in LA, and as long as they are happy, I think it's cool, I wish her the best of luck. It looks like it already has happened. In the AVN column, it has that Jewel's mom did a scene with Herschel Savage. Herschel has also worked with Jewel before.

As for her age & Peter North's. Mom said she's fifty this year. That make's Pete one year younger than her according to Pete's Wikipedia entry. The only reason I say Jewel deserves a pass here at ADT is because she's such a great, contributing member and seems uncomfortable with the topic, as well she should be. As soon as her mom made the decision to do porn people were going to give their opinion whether good or bad. Jewel and her mom had to know once she made this decision to do this, people were going to be asking Jewel all kinds of questions about it. But to sit here and say leave Jewel out of this is insane, a former pornstar's mother is now doing porn, even if you wanted to you could not leave Jewel out of this, its not a cousin it is her mother.
Point is, you can ask Jewel all the questions you want here, and she has a right to refuse to respond. No, and conversely you wouldn't want to take part in a conversation about your daughter choosing to do porn whether you agreed with it or not, would you? However we do that here everyday about someones daughter. Just because someones mom isn't a valued member here doesn't make the talk any better. Bottom line, if we can talk about someones daughter we should be able to talk about someones mom. Regardless of valued member or not. I don't think I've said anything snide or unfair to jewel or her mom. I understand some might, but to not be allowed to even discuss is my issue.
As for the possibility of brutal and nasty comments, that is indeed not fair to Jewel. However, that's what mods and forum rules are made for and those comments can be removed.

What has been said about people baiting Jewel or making snide remarks will be ..frowned upon. Jewel appears to have pretty much said her piece and I'm sure she'll pipe in again if she has anything else to say, so there's not a lot of point in bombarding her with questions. So let's not do it, mmkay?
Otherwise, if the discussion stays above board, then on with the discussion and enough with the "we should be able to talk about it" and get on with talking about it with each other.
This is about De'Bella, not Jewel. Just like when Jewel decided to work in the biz it was about her, not De'Bella. Working in the business is not a reflection of whether a woman is a good mother or about riding on coat tails. It's about personal freedom and the choice to exercise it in any manner one so chooses. I personally commend Jewel for supporting her mom during this journey and at the same time allowing her to maintain her own identity and individuality. It takes a strong woman at any age to step up and work in this business. Best of luck to both.
Some of you people act like she is going to get a job at the local 7 Eleven or something, it would be one thing if it was a brother or sister but it is her mother.
