Seems like everyone has very strong opinions. In the end the only ones that really matter are the ones from the women who have made the choice to either get implants or stay natural. Opinions from men are not completely irrelevant, but they certainly come from a "outsiders" perspective.
All of the threads here speak of girls "in the industry", but at some point will be out of it and leading more regular lives. I understand the pressure they must feel, what with our society pushing big boobs into the faces of boys and girls at such a young age. Many women feel less of a woman with small breasts.
Melissa stated that she feels much more confident with her new D cups, allowing her to dress in a manner that she was unable to before. As a man, this kind of puzzles me.
Confidence is a very attractive attribute in any person. In fact, women usually list confidence in the top three of attributes they look for in a man, and men, if not threatened, like a confident woman. My question is this. If that confidence comes from an unnatural or artificial source, is it less attractive? As for my opinion, let me share my first experience with breast implants.
I had a girlfriend named Corrine when I was 21. She was 20 and absolutely gorgeous. Blond hair, green eyes. A lean, athletic body that was built by years of gymnastics. And she had the perfect pair of B cups! Fit her 5'4" 105 lb. frame perfectly.
Anyway, we were together for a little more than 2 years. We split, and eventually she took a job on the east coast. About 3 years later she moved back to California. Soon, after, she called me up and we made plans to get together for dinner and drinks.
I walked into the restaurant, and to my total surprise, I found her sitting at the bar with two new friends... full C cups. It was not hard to notice as she had them popping out of her unbuttoned blouse. Over dinner, again to my total surprise, she told me how she always felt self conscious about having smaller breasts, She said she was completely happy with the results of her surgery.
So after a few cocktails and a bottle of wine, we ended up back at my place, and eventually back in bed. She was very eager to show me her new toys, and obviously, I was eager to see. They did look good. She had a great surgeon. They were just a little too big. Her skin was stretched a little tight and they just seemed to overwhelm her still very lean and mean body.
We started dating again, seeing each other a couple times a week. It just wasn't the same. For me, her new found "confidence" was a distraction. She did dress differently, and she always seemed to go out of her way to show off her new big boobs with exaggerated body language.
And she talked about them like they were an added appendage.
In the end, we stopped dating. I just couldn't get into her. To me, her new confidence was insincere. I don't want to say fake, but instead of turning me on, it turned me off.
Since then I have had a few more experiences with women who had implants, and to different degrees, they all seemed to exhibit this strange attitude about their new breasts. For me, this was a complete turn off. It was not so much the aesthetics, but how they viewed their own breasts.
So as we sit here on Adult DVD Talk and debate this issue I think we have to separate how we like our adult actresses to look as they perform on screen for our sexual pleasure and how we like the women in our lives to look and act before our actual eyes.
I have been jaded by the personal experiences in my life, so when I watch porn I tend not to be drawn to the performers with implants, even if they are fantastic looking.
But again guys, the decision that performers make are not just for the business, they have real lives to live and they are the ones that have to be happy with themselves.
