my wife and i have been having problems with things getting dull in the bedroom lately and we talked about it extensively and I told her that I would like her to try putting a finger in my ass when she is giving me a blowjob. she was opposed to it at first but she could see how much pleasure it gave me and how much quicker it made me cum and she started to prefer it herself. she gathered up enough courage to give me a rim job a couple of weeks ago and said she liked that. We went to our local sex shop today and picked up some anal toys for her, andcuffs, a whip, all sorts of things, but as we were walking out the door something else caught her eye.................... a vibrating strap on. we left, had dinner and discussed it and she told me that ever since we watched the movie Young People Fucking and she has been inserting a finger she has wanted to do that to me. I told her that I was willing to try anything and we ended up going back to get it. I do like a digit up there but am not sure of the whole strap on thing. I bought a doc johnson pleasure wand a while back and that feels good, but i am curious about having a dildo being thrusted into my ass. she really wants to do it and I am curious so I am willing to try but I was wondering if there was anyone who can give us some pointers before we try it out Saturday night. It is a Venus Bumble Bee which stimulates her clit while she is doing me. the dildo is 5" long 1 1/2" wide and about 5 1/2" in girth. we usually use ID Glide waterbased lube and we plan on using a condom on it if for nothing else easier cleanup.
anyone out there ever do this? how long does it take to get used to it?
thank you in advance and please dont reply just to tell me Im gay.

I suggest purchasing Nina Hartley's Guide To Strap-On Sex, and watching that with your wife prior to using the strap-on. She has an instructional portion in which she uses a strap-on on a man (Christian, in fact). I haven't watched this one myself, but if it's like all of Nina's other guides, it'll be comprehensive and informative. A good thing about the model you bought is that it vibrates, which should help relax the sphincter muscles. I think the most important thing to remember is to go slow, and not expect too much from the first few times. Also, at least at first, it's best if your wife just holds still and lets you move back and forth on the toy at your own pace. As for lube, you'll want a thick gel formula, and lots of it.

Lucky guy!
I'd try smaller anal toys first, getting to bigger ones progressively, just for initial "training".

This Jack Morin article is terrific, and sort of motivational and pleasing. If you read his online stuff, you don't really need to buy his book.

to Indie: thanks for the referral. I have the strap attack collection 1-9 (im not sure if there are more or not) 5 & 6 are my two favorites. Gianna is in both of theose and I cannot ever get enough of her and her awesome breasts and dirty dirty mouth. If you have not seen either one of those I would definately suggest them. one of the 2 has tia tanaka and jada fire in it also. cant remember which one. but gianna and tia double team a guy. Its a great scene. I love both of those girls.

1 - I wouldn't use a condom. It makes insertion more difficult because it's not as slippery. Plus, when the tip bunches up, it will irritate the mucous walls and will not feel good, especially for your first time. Trust me, I speak from experience.
2 - My girl and I only use UR3, Ultraskin and Cyberskin dildos for assplay. Silicone/rubber dildos (not buttplugs because those just sit inside of you) are VERY abrasive to the inner lining of the ass and they don't coat well with water-based lubricant at all, and will dry out fast during the pumping/fucking action. UR3 kind of "absorbs" the lubricant and keeps it in place rather than pushing it away.
3 - I'd suggest you hit the shower and give yourself a good anal cleansing. Lacking a kit and the right tool for the job, if you have a showerhead with a hose on it, just disconnect the head, set the rubber washer aside, crimp the hose so the water won't come out, put the open end of the hose to your asshole, then slowly allow water to come out and go up your butt. Once your sphincter is a bit used to being invaded, insert the hose about an inch, tighten your sphinceter and let the water fill up inside you. Then pull out the hose and let the water come out. Repeat as often as you like. This will make things much cleaner and less smellier while you and the wife go crazy. Having pieces of shit falling all over the bed, rug or wherever is never fun and is a mood-killer for us.
4 - I would suggest you insert the dildo yourself to start with. But if your wife wants the thrill of popping your cherry, then as she is SLOWLY inserting with LOTS of lubricant, have her stop every few millimeters during the entry process, so your sphincter muscles (both sets) can get used to being probed. It also helps if you try to take a shit while she's inserting (nothing will come out because you've already cleaned out) as this pushes out and opens up the muscles to allow for easier insertion. Don't push out like a madman, but just a little until the tip of the dildo has passed by the second ring of muscles.
5 - Best position for starters (though it could vary from person to person) is to be kneeling on the ground, and drape yourself face-down onto the bed or an ottoman or something (or straddle a vaulting horse). This allows the legs mucles, butt muscles and everything to be totally loose and relaxed.
6 - Perform a thorough anal cleansing sometime after the act, to rinse out all the lubricant. Your farts will probably smell pretty bad for a few days after.
7 - After sex (maybe while taking a shower) practice squeezing your sphincter muscles together VERY VERY VERY tight and HOLDING for 10 seconds, then release, relax for five seconds and repeat for a total of ten reps. This is something I started doing years ago because of my belief that if the rings of muscles get too used to being enlarged, they might stay like that and not be as water-tight as a frog's ass. I don't want stuff seeping out when I least expect it. It's really a tough exercise, but I feel it's absolutely needed to ensure a long life of healthy shit retention.
Oh yeah...be careful with vibrating your anus for too long at high speeds. I've heard doing so isn't good and can make the sphincter muscles lose their "memory" and ability to properly tighten. Once again, trust me...you don't need vibrations to have great anal sex. Have fun, but be safe and smart and DO read up on the internet about the dangers of anal sex and the possibilities of TEARS happening that can cause major problems.
Also, after any kind of regular anal fucking, you might start to notice it's more difficult to shit and takes more strain to get your crap to come out. There's a technique to getting it to come out, and it involves deep breathing and hard exhaling while sitting up very erect and tucking in your stomach to push in your lower abdomen. Don't just push with great force from the bottom your asshole, but from within your lower intestine near the base of your spine. If you push from the asshole you'll only blow a gasket and your sphincter rings will try to push outward too much (and you'll get a headache). Try to make the rings of muscles stay IN/UP your ass as you breath out and feel the rectum push your stuff down/out. Don't hold your breath, but breathe through it, like you're giving birth. Seriously. If you strain, you'll do more damage to yourself and could end up with hemmoroids.
Have fun! You're in a for a treat. It may be VERY painful the first time (and you might say "fuck this!") but it will get much easier after a few minutes, and later on you'll look forward to the initial penetration (which won't be painful) and you'll probably become addicted to anal sex and want bigger, longer toys. When you can take the entire John Holmes UR3 cock, you'll know you've arrived. :)

A 100% platinum-cured silicone dildo, regardless of lube used, does not feel any more abrasive on my rectum than my husband's cock.
I'd take the advice to read the books that were recommended. It's best to learn how to do anal pain-free. In fact, it's my firm belief that the receiver should always be the one to initiate and to stop the activity.
I've never pegged my husband because he's never asked me to. If he asked me to, I would.

I was referring to rubber dongs that have stiff ridges/veins and texture, not the slick, smooth-looking ones. For example, the Stryker rubber dong feels much more harsh to our asses than the Stryker UR3 version. In fact, my girlfriend had a bit of blood appear from using the rubber ones, and we both noticed that firm rubber/silicone doesn't retain lube on itself very well (nor do Jelly or Jel-Lee dongs), compared to the softer material of UR3, Ultraskin and Cyberskin. Personal choice, really, but we want pleasure while minimizing potential damage to a very delicate (and crucial) area of our anatomy. And when you're in the moment, sexually, you want to enjoy it and not have to worry about re-lubing every few minutes.

Trust me, I've had the exact opposite experience, maybe you've been using some weird kind of textured/non lubricated condom?

Another thing you might be interested in trying is one of those small sized vibrating "Jelly" but plugs. Remove the vibrating bullet, just pull it out with the cord and let your wife stick her finger in it.

Alright, we tried it the other night and she even surprised me by wearing crotchless body stockings. Never told her about it but that is another thing that I absolutely love. We had been building up for this moment every night since my post and we both finally said "lets do it!!" Things got hot and heavy and we were both really into it. she was talking dirty to me like she never has before and was telling me that she is really excited, I was too. She strapped it on and got the straps as tight as they would go and............ it sucked. They are elastic straps so it never stayed where it was supposed to, the vibrator for her kept moving into awkward positions and we spent more time trying to re-adjust it than anything else. We ended up giving up both unsatisfied. I watched Nina Hartley's guide to strap on sex and she quoted right in the video to never use strap ons with elastic straps (wish I would have seen this before we bought the one we did), and the male/female portion of it was not informative at all. it was just a porn clip. Either way my wife and I have seen strap on harnesses that are either leather or nylon that would seem to stay in place better but we only have a few local sex shops within a 50 mile radius and none that we have found have a vibrator for the woman also. We want to do it again but preferrably with a harness that can interchange dildos and with a vibrator for the woman.....any preferences out there? which is supposed to be the best? This is a fantasy of both of ours and to fulfill it for both of us is worth whatever price I may have to pay.

Don't throw out the toy just yet. You might be able to slip it into a standard harness after removing the elastic straps. At my shop, we don't carry anything that's exactly like you described, so I'm not sure what else is out there. You might have to think outside the box and McGuyver a toy together using separate products.
