To me, Seymore was in a league w/ John Leslie, Tom Byron, Joey Silvera and John Stagnaoi (sp?)as a director, at the time. To me, he was a big influence on Jules Jordan; but I admit Jules took Seymore's style and improved on it and left out the anoying talking while performing. A few of Syemore's standouts that were some of my favs were practically anything with the aformentioned Taylor Hayes at her Peak, before her Vivid days. Also there were some great scenes with Vanessa Chase and a three way that I liked alot with Jade Marcella, Sabrina Jonson and some lucky fellow...can't recall the name. I met Alisha Klass once and she was a sweet, down to Earth girl. But his films have been boring and so predictable after Alisha left. Maybe one exception was Anal Surprise Party. There was the lovely Cytheria and she squirted like a geyser in that film! I also enjoyed some of his hot girls Taylor Hayes, Shane and Mari Possa. I think Mari is one smokin' hot Latina. It doesn't hurt that I am friends with a Latin girl who looks like and is built like Mari Possa except she's all natural. I kind of enjoy some of the lead-in talk and the whole "we're just a bunch of friends who just get together to fuck" thing. I personally don't enjoy seeing the inside of an asshole. It's not my thing. I also don't like talk-talk during the action. I thought the Showtime show was genious for its time. We all know that today's Reality TV is very orchestrated. I think Seymore was ahead of everybody on this level. The show was not real for a minute, but I loved watching it. He tries to make you believe the sex in his porn is spontaneous and real. Then he took that to his reality show. I did not believe for a minute Myrna/Mari Possa (if Myrna was her real name) was really his secretary. If you were like me, you were getting hot and you knew she was there to eventually fuck in front of a camera. Was Mari really his girlfriend? Was Shane really his girlfriend? Seymore is the master at blurring what's real and what's staged. If he and his female proteges play boyfriend and girlfriend on screen and long enough in public, who's to say it doesn't become real. The best performer he worked with was Alisha Klass as far as I am concerned. Alisha was Seymore's gf at the time and there was no drama about it, but she performed an incredible way. Many of his films were reality TV, especially Seymore Butts Does Europe I & II. At times Alisha was teasing Seymore and stripping on the street in Amsterdam, or teasing him and more in a train, or smoking in a specialized shop just before having sex with him. It looked like a personal documentary, a journey to places where sex is king. It's something we do not see anymore in films. Oh, by the way, Alisha turned 40 in 2012. [Link]

Over time other directors took parts of what Seymore did and improved on it or took it further...just as Seymore himself had done to develope his style. During his peak Seymore's movies were surrounded by porn that didn't go quite as far and the slick features by contract studios were the big sellers. Then, his movies stood out more and were the different, harder edge alternative. Nowadays, there's far more even more harder edged stuff that makes Seymore's stuff seem almost "vanilla" in comparison and gonzo type porn is far more common. [Link]

Myrna/Mari Possa is still around, but not sure she is doing boys. I have not watched much of it yet. In response to Arditti and Draxxx, I always thought Seymore got his inspiration from John "Buttman" Stagliano for more reasons than the butt. Both shot in a gonzo style and everything was kind of just hangin' out and fucking. Seymore just took ass worship and ass-fucking to another level. For my money, Stagliano started and still did some of the best "we are on vacation fucking" style videos. I love Buttman's trips to Brazil and Europe. There was one with Caribbean & vacation in the title, pretty solid stuff, and one with Schwing or something, real funny ones and hot, couldn't get tired of them and now they've been locked up in their boxes for seven years or so. Hm.. Maybe the guy went to jail. He seemed kinda crazy. But I liked his use of backgrounds and that schwing just went over the top but he never went for the staged shit with dialogues and acting running along.
