I was just looking at the top 20 gay price searches from the main gaydvdreview page, and noticed about 3/4 of those are leather movies! Many obscure ones, or ones I've never even heard of.

I wonder, is there a movement in tastes going on? Are more and more people getting into leather all of a sudden? Or could there be some kind of tampering going on with the price search that makes all these leather flicks show up?

it could be a search engine thing - where we all of the sudden get listed for certain keywords.

Leather-themed films have definitely grown in popularity in the past five years, but it is still always about the muscles in gay porn--hairy or smooth! That is not to say that bear/leather culture is an inferior gay subculture. Not in the least! There has to be something which balances out the muscle jock culture. Right?

Obscure...looks like about it. And cheap...and probably worth every cent. Perhaps a bunch of stuff just came on market and a bunch of folks looking to sample the genre. I don’t know whether “Sunshine Studios” is/was a studio and/or a distributor. And, frankly, I don’t completely understand the relationship between the two. Mannet.com shows no listing for “Sunshine Studios” and the last thing I can find is from 2000. TLA lists 7 flicks under Sunshine and Gay DVD Empire lists 343. Weird.

Sunshine occasionally has a good (not great) video but they are few and far between. Most of their stuff is compilations made from the cuttings left on the floor when editing "B" gay porn. I am almost not kidding.
