I know that there are laws against having un-simulated sex on television, but I was thinking that maybe some of these movies contain real sex, and that the camera angles and other techniques hide this. Another possibility is that some of these movies are actually hardcore movies that have been edited or slightly re-shot for television. Does anyone know anything about this? Some hardcore scenes have a soft-core scene to follow, for example Naughty America, and Vivid do this. Performers can then chose if they still want to have sex or simply simulate. Or...some companies use two cameras, one in which captures everything but the penetration i.e.: Digital Playground.

What I recall is that there may be male frontal nudity--not penetration. A couple of years ago an indie movie, "The Brown Bunny," had a scence in which mainstream actress Chloe Sevigny gave an actor a real blowjob as part of the movie. The film, um, sucked--and the PR was all around the presence of a real blowjob in a mainstream film.
