Has anyone seen All American Beauties from Pacific Sun?

The front box cover, with all those red rose petals, is quite appealing to me. The back cover is, um, very interesting, since a large, hollowed out fruit appears to be used in one scene. The lowest historical price on this movie is $30, though. It better be dang good solo action if I'm going to pay that much.

I also found a DVD called You're Gorgeous from Pride. Based on Netguy's review at AdultDVDEmpire, however, I don't think I want it. Apparently it's so soft-core that it doesn't even include any explicit erections.

You’ve probably checked out TLA Video, but they’ve got some newer Ray Dragon stuff (Ray Dragon Presents and Porn Star Training ) that look to be mostly or all solo and aren’t too bad, price-wise, at least for gay porn. I can’t vouch for them but Dragon was one hot ursine MF in Titan’s Gorge and some of his other stuff, IMHO. And there’s a heck of a list of offerings under their keyword search, All Solo Scenes. But you’d have to wade through that lengthy list to find a DVD that was completely all-solo. And check out GayDVDEmpire’s review of Titan’s Single Handed , if you haven’t run across it already. It’s a bit more pricey but it is a 2-DVD set. But some people who are not fans of the Titan look might find this less than appealing.

Cindy, I'm not finding Naked Juice on DVD. Unfortunately, VHS is no longer an option for me; I'm not buying a new machine at this point. Sounds like a great cast list, though. It's also too bad that Straight to Bed (the one mentioned in the original post of this thread) still doesn't appear to be on DVD. I'd buy it if it was.

Just getting back after checking the "all solo scenes" list at TLA. Yup, 423 titles is quite a few, but it took me under an hour to get through. I could skim over anything that was VHS only (which might be as much as three-quarters of the list). Several movies are out of print, as well. I could also quickly eliminate anything related to twinks, military men (sorry, GS, not my thing, though I can't wait for you to finish your tale in Story Time), college students and youngsters, and vaguely racist titles (big black monster whatevers).

So I now have a short list of potentially appealing titles from there:
Italy's Finest (shaving, yum)
Me, Myself & I (Victor Rios, yum)
Ray Dragon Presents... (maybe, especially since the price is good)

I have now a used copy of Minute Man 16 and a new copy of Italy's Finest on the way. Probably won't do full reviews on those, at least not in the near future, but I'll try to at least post a few impressions here.

GaySaytr has commented on this many times before, but I have to agree that the pricing structure for gay DVDs completely baffles me. I picked up Italy's Finest for $11.77 (including shipping, which was free). It looks like I might have got the last copy (or one of the last copies) at Adult DVD Now, since it's no longer showing up in their online catalog this morning. But four other stores are offering the same title at a range of prices up to $49.95?! That's crazy; that's more than a fourfold difference.

In another thread I complained about solo videos, saying that many (most?) were pretty worthless. I still feel that way. My point is that, especially with solo scenes, the material has to be exceptional to hold my interest. As far as I'm concerned, there is no excuse for a scene of less than a 4-star rating on a solo release. Average - or even slight above average - just doesn't cut it.

Had I been in charge of Titan's editing, I'd have made a single two-hour DVD using the best material from both discs.

Ironically, if Titan had kept just the top 50% of these scenes, packaged them on a single disc, and reduced the price by about $15 to $20, I would've rated it at five stars. Although the current package is more complete, the weaker scenes dilute the overall quality of the product.

That being said, even the "average" scenes include very attractive models (IMHO), and that does count for something. I just wish Titan would put out a more recent movie of male solos, preferably with new material shot specifically for the production (rather than a compilation of previously released scenes). I think they could do a great job of it.

Uh, it's not as good as Single Handed; no surprise there. But the first four scenes did turn me on, and I think the DVD is passable for the price. The tlavideo.com reviewer gave it 3 stars; I went with 2.5. I notice the price range in the Adult DVD Talk Price Search has dropped to $6.95-$19.90. Hmmm...I imagine this one hasn't been a big seller.

Waterbucks: 4.5 stars

Master Strokes and Waterbucks both include explicit gay content. Naked Muscles is considerably more neutral, except for the voyeurism in the Mark Bradshaw scene and the canceled date in the Ed Dinakos scene.
