Suzie Diamond

Suzie Diamond is my latest porn obsession. I learned about her late, after she had retired, so I’ve been catching up on her extensive back catalog. My introduction to Suzie came via her scene in Fuck it Like its Hot (which was also my introduction to Regina Ice, another recent favorite), and I recently rented The Private Life of Suzie Diamond and Angel Perverse 8 to see more of her.
Before this, I had seen some online promo clips, and various still photos, and so I found it odd that Private lists her at 5’7”, when she seems taller than many of her male costars, even without heels. I know many porn males are vertically challenged, but they aren’t that short! However, in the behind the scenes to Angel Perverse 8, Suzie gives her height as 180cm, or almost 5’11”, and then it makes sense that she’s taller than, say Jazz Duro (they work together in Anal Addicts 26).
It’s been years since I wrote reviews for this site, but my tastes haven’t really changed. I enjoyed the interview segments of The Private Life of Suzie Diamond, but most of the scenes left me cold. They reminded me of typical Private scenes of the past, with beautiful locations, pretty people, and some asthetic artistry, but very little of the heat or chemistry that I want to see. The performers were like what they actually are, models paid to have sex on a movie set. It never seemed real to me in the way some more gonzo-ish scenes often do (no matter how contrived they really are). Sure, it was nice to see Suzie make her trademark eye contact with whatever guy she was fellating, but I personally need more than that from my porn.
AP8 was much better at meeting what I want to watch. Suzie isn’t really the star of her scene, since she’s one of 5 girls who go at it with David Perry and Steve Holmes, but she got to show some personality. And you can tell the guys consider her special because Perry actually bothers to talk to her (one of my observations in my old reviews was that Perry tended to put only minimal effort into a scene unless the girl was something beyond the ordinary).
The movie opened with something of which I’m not fond, a pack of guys matched to one girl, but in this case it worked. That’s because the girl is Cherry Jul, and she seems genuinely thrilled all through the scene, showing a sort of intimacy rarely found in scenes from Private (maybe Cherry was acting, but as Gabriel Nine and I used to tell each other, “if the acting’s that good, why worry about it?”). Cherry actually has a body similar to Suzie’s, and equally expressive eyes.
AP8 finishes with a scene that includes Tarra White, who I also first saw in Fuck it Like it’s Hot. She worked with Perry there, and spends most of her time with him again in AP8, and you can tell these two like fucking each other. They talk back and forth in a way that would be edited out of many other movies, but which Christoph and his editor were wise enough to leave in. I mention this because Suzie has shot a couple of other scenes for Christoph that I have yet to see, and I hope that she gets to show personality in this way, moreso than she did as one of five girls in her AP8 scene.
The interview portions of The Private Life of Suzie Diamond show that she has a good head on her shoulders. She speaks English well, so she wasn’t one of those “deer in the headlights” girls who didn’t know what they were getting into. She did her scenes, made her money, was paid to travel around the world to exotic locales, and then got out. Good for her. As I watch her more, I wonder if her black mane wasn’t the result of dye. If so, I hope that as a brunette (or whatever her natural color), she was able to deposit her funds and slip rather anonymously back into Slovak society, far wealthier than she was a few years ago. Again, good for her. Be well Suzie, wherever you are!
