Short and sweet, but why, when a performer uses a condom in an anal scene, does he then proceed to pull it off and cum all over and on the female's asshole, with his cum ultimately sinking in? Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of a rubber? Yet I've seen it many times.
The condom is mainly to prevent pregnancy as talent is tested for VD monthly. Anal contact with cum may be gross but a woman hasn't ever got pregnant from it. In the US most performers choose to not use a condom and the women use Depo-Provera injections instead for pregnancy prevention. Also many male performers choose to cum on a woman's stomach, tits or face to reduce the chance of pregnancy and VD even more. The biz tried condoms once and people complained, it seems that most viewers like the sight of cum (I personally think it is gross, especially on a woman's face). Some companies have a policy against anal creampies as well because of past HIV transmission during the Marc Wallice debacle. Edited by - mharris127 on 3/7/2013 1:50:21 PM
The real purpose of condoms in porn is to protect the male not the female. If they want to be safe blowjobs etc need to be done with condom on too. There is lot less good male perfomers so if couple gets sick it can mean a halt to the shooting. But of course it aint marketed like that :=
I appreciate the answers--Mr. Harris I understand the whole birth control/pregnancy prevention thing. But in a specifically anal scene where the guy has worn a condom all the way through, only to shed it and shoot on and in an open asshole, what gives? Is Utopiaa right and it's to protect male talent from anally transmitted diseases? I thought "tops" (person doing the inserting) rarely could catch anything because they're not the ones receiving body fluids?
I've thought about exactly the same thing, however the amount of semen that goes into the girl's ass is tiny compared to a creampie and/or precum during fucking. Less risk, but still a risk.

You're making a broad assumption that he was a top!
I'm worried that you think that : ( Going by that logic, men would never (rarely) catch from women, and, indeed, gay men would only ever catch if they were penetrated, rather than penetrating. I must be missing your point, surely?? : (
