Well, they are not the only ones in whom I have noticed a decline. However, the other one is not so broad a topic. It's just one man: Pussyman. You could argue, perhaps, that David "Pussyman" Christopher's stuff was never necessarily the best stuff around. However, he definitely carved out a niche for himself. He was masterful at the classy yet slutty, hard yet soft, lighthearted porn. And the stories were never that great. It's always: we need to find the next Pussygirl. I know that Summer Knight was a pussygirl and had a mold taken of her privates. Then Taylor St. Claire. He just kept recycling it. And if you wanted to see gorgeous women in hot, fetish-type costumes strip down and have a little bit of lesbian loving then "Decadent Divas" was your series. However, he made the understandable mistake of putting himself back into the scenes and that began the end of his quality. As I know it, he was actually a male performer years ago before becoming a director. However, for the longest time I thought he was retired from that, perhaps boffing a girl here or there in an obscure fetish flick independent of the "pussyman" line. But then I see him back in there working in scenes with girls like Kianna, Katie Morgan, Sunrise Adams, and, of course, Taylor St. Claire and it looks creepy to me. Beside that, he can't perform anymore. I am a male so I can kind of understand why he would want to quit standing on the side and get back to stooping all the hot girls he films, but as a director trying to sell product I think I would be able to come to terms with the fact that I am not the best guy to be doing that. In every single film I've seen since then when he gets in on the action, said action comes to pretty much a halting stop as he makes us watch the girl fake the orgasm to end the scene because he can't even produce a money shot for her. It's crappy filmmaking. Also, his scenes seems much shorter now. I remember seeing stuff "Fashion Dolls", "Assbusters", and "Snatch Attack" and each one was slightly shy of being 2 hours long. Now, it is all edited down to the point that it is a shock anymore if he allows his films to go over 90 minutes. And, if you have a series called "Spectatular Butt Babes", for the love of Tatian, would you make sure it is going to be an anal series as opposed to a deliberately misleading monicker. David Christopher seems like a smart guy. In fact, I understand that he has the right degrees to the point that he could teach if he wanted to. However, I am curious if anyone else has noticed the fallout from his stupid decision. Also, I am not trying to say I could do better than him in any way. Performing for males can't be easy. However, we don't want to see Pussyman suffering his way through a scene. We want to see his expertise behind the camera as a Joel Lawrence or whoever does what they do best. However, he has managed to draw in the unearthly beautifuly Monique Dane for some lesbian scenes. I applaud that because bringing that all natural, busty blonde into porn is quite a nice feat. It doesn't overlty suggest anal. However, a title like that to the general porn consumer does conotate the possibility of anal sex more so than an alternately titled series. Therefore, I think such a line is indeed somewhat misleading. Yet again, that's just my opinion and I suppose you could argue back at me that I am being too narrow. Well. I have nothing to do at the moment as I am waiting to go see "X-Men 2" and then off to work afterwards so I will actually take the time to look up the word in question. (Taken from my Random House Webster's Dictionary, published in 1996) "sod*om*y, n. 1. anal or oral copulation with a member of the same sex or opposite sex. 2. sexual relations between a person and an animal." It's all subjective I suppose, but going from that I would think that something entitled "Sodomania" would be largely about anal sex. Of course, from the same definition it could also mean beastiality, homosexual sex, or fellatio. So, it's all subjective. That's just me.
